king of heart Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Went to the location test on my lunch break. Dead on time is ridiculous lol. Also BS now kills Milla's Oki around 80% of the time. A really good Milla player stopped approaching me on wake up. Managed to hit Axl's standing normals with j.P many times it was hilarious lol.

Ronove Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Also BS now kills Milla's Oki around 80% of the time. A really good Milla player stopped approaching me on wake up. Care to elaborate more on this? Did you just BS as you could on wakeup or did you delay it somehow? Did the other player do YRC Disc and you could still BS it? Because by reading the changes it shouldn't really affect Millia too much when she goes for non-meaty disc... Atleast on paper.
Mumm-Ra Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 How does projectile BS even work anyways, I assume it's blockeable? Does that put you in recovery frames or stays invincible during the whole animation like before?

Starfire Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Mashable reversal Blitz sounds a bit bad in my opinion.
Destin Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I was most worried for ky witht that change, I feel a bit better now.
TheRealBobMan Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Costs 25% Have to BS high/low correctly Loses to Supers Loses to wait/block Loses to arrogant walk-up throw Only beats projectiles at balls-touching range I guess I'm not really worried that you can mash it, though I didn't think Reversal Blitz Shield was "too hard" before either. As an I-No main this change doesn't bother me. Having VCL YRC was kinda derp anyway, and we can still use it if the other player doesn't have 25% for BS or if they're conditioned not to use BS. rayplay Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Ehhh, not liking lok test blitz shield right now. mynus 1
Mumm-Ra Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I understand your points, but "masheable X" will never be good in my book. Antaiseito 1
Stellarcircle5 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Ideally, most oki characters should have ways to play around the blitz change (Millia hits before the projectile, I-no is usually mid range when she puts a note on you etc...) it's still a dumb change that shows that this is indeed a Loketest. If its left in, I'm gonna be pretty bummed, especially for Rammy players, like how will she do anything? Also the "Lol S-tiers had tools straight up removed, I like it" mentality that I see showing up among some of the people here is pretty shitty. Tools should be tweaked, not made obsolete. Cloukyo Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 With Millia I'd imagine if you instant blocked her mixup you could BS her disc and she'd suffer from it. It seems that Ino's note hasn't suffered but her VCL crossup has, which is a shame, but it was kinda bs anyway I guess. Still Arcsys shouldn't be simply making things obselete or taking them out, they should tweak things to make them balanced.
Starfire Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 If you're going to IB her mixup and then blitz, why not just blitz the mixup in the first place? I think Millia is more hurt by easier reversals (if it's true you can mash the reversal Blitz, and especially if you can mash it through YRC) than the projectile Blitz change, because she will either hit meaty herself or be out of range for the projectile Blitz repel to happen.
Dreiko Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Is the mashable BS a change to BS or just a change in the reversal window? Can you just mash VV and have it come out without trying to time it now, too?
Fenrir Werwolf Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 About new BS... Goodbye Task A' oki, i guess
SynikaL Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 If you've played the earlier Soulcalibur games, you won't be worried about Blitz Shield Reversal. I welcome this change, and I think it will serve as an interesting dynamic for the GG series. -Kimosabae
Destin Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 If you're going to IB her mixup and then blitz, why not just blitz the mixup in the first place? I imagine, if you fail the initial blitz mixup, you lose 25% meter and get combos, whereas the other way you don't lose the meter if you fail the initial mixup (but you still get comboed).

Destin Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Don't forget about CH state. It hurts I thought about that, but I didn't think it would change her hits from the mixup unless CH state removed proration or something.
D.R.F. Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I thought about that, but I didn't think it would change her hits from the mixup unless CH state removed proration or something. Ahh you are right. It's nice to remember that her damage is still kinda shit
Killey Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I'm reading that there are supposed to be 2 more loketests. Is there any confirmation on this? If it's true does anyone have a link to the source of that info?
Anne Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 You guys can be awfully silly sometimes. Idk about more loketests, ya know. It's cool to see people discussing the change but let's try to steer away from "it sucks I don't like it" posts. Be thoughtful and constructive!
Coffeeling Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 You guys can be awfully silly sometimes. Idk about more loketests, ya know. It's cool to see people discussing the change but let's try to steer away from "it sucks I don't like it" posts. Be thoughtful and constructive! No. I was constructive once, and it was awful o_o Really, though. I don't have a voice in the process, most of the characters I'm interested in are getting bucketloads of nerfs, largely aimed at the aspects of them that are interesting to me, some design abomination like Leo that I'd really prefer to not exist in the first place is getting buffs, and even the nerfing seems to be done in a way I don't really like. Constructive criticism would be redoing the damn patch so it mostly just brings up the lower tiers and redesigns Leo, but there's not a snowball's chance in Hell of that happening in modern society where a character being better than others is reason enough for nerfing it. I've seen the spiral of endless nerfs in two different flagship games in two different genres over the span of the last six years, and the end result is plainly uninteresting shit. I didn't pick up GG so I could watch everything get nerfed and to see the game's Fuerte get buffs.
Anne Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 No seriously I get enough of it on twitter please spare me in here. Yannick and Appledash- 2
