See, told you mAc knows what he's doing =p You have me and his brother to thank for getting him to learn the Nu match up so well. Now he's just going to destroy us in CS with blackholes everywhere.

Tuka, I know how to do 4000-5000 damage meterless combo's, although I don't feel like I put myself in the oppurtunity as much as I probably could. Hmm, next time Mac and I play I'll experiment and zone just to see if I do better, although it'll probably be really boring. I'll probably play a little less twitchy and see how it results with him And of course I know that matchup is shitty, hence, I lost 1 game out of 22. I'm perfectly aware I could zone more, but I don't want to play that way anymore, I prefer being more high pressured, she has enough tools to do so, and quite well. Nu players like Rereia and even Inoue have crazy rush down games and don't just stick purely to zoning. Of course I'm not anywhere their level, but I think people like them prove she's more than able to rush the hell out of people. I haven't really gone to real tournaments yet (but I really think I could try in CS), so their hasn't been enough incentive to change from rushdown to purely zoning, but there's only a handful of people really giving me a hard time on XBL. And isn't Lambda WAY more rushdown than Nu? Pulsr and even Minori had probably a 50/50 mix with those two. I perfectly know how to play keep away and zoning, that's all I used to do. We'll see, I'm gonna take some of your advice when Mac and I play in player room and see how it goes.

I think it's more that Lambda is lacking in the zoning field, so people are forced to get more aggressive in melee. With tackle moves and saw blade changes, it's hard to do mix ups at a range since it's pretty predictable now. Not to mention the lack of jump cancellable 5D and 4D. But if you're good with melee and aren't sword trigger happy, Lambda is going to play out just fine. I'm already pretty used to her. Ask mAc, I keep trying to do the 6A > 2147D loop when i get him in a corner. Of course it doesn't favor me to try that in CT...

Yeah, that's why when Tuka said Lambda needs to sit back and zone, I was kinda like, "huh?" I mean, he has hands on experience, it's just so far all the good Lambda's I've seen use quite a bit of melee and take the fight up close Oh, but Tuka, you seriously caught a major thing in my play no one's ever mentioned with the j.C>j.2C. When you said I wasn't doing enough damage with I was confused; then I realized all this time I wasn't getting enough hits with j.C.. For some reason it never occurred to me to hit more with the J.C. Thanks for that, it's already adding 400-500 extra damage that I was missing out on. Did grab>dash>2C. Not hard to do, a little afraid of lag messing it up though, it does 300-400 extra damage

Lambda can't play 100% zoning like Nu did, since taking jump cancel out of some move is like cutting her legs off, so a bit of melee is necessary. Her problem always was bad priority on normals (Nu could poke all day with her godlike 2C, which is shit now), rushing down someone randomly without putting him in some kind of blockstun first is a bad idea. Luckily Lambda has her new safe-on-block moves that also gets her really close to the opponent, so some melee pressure could be applied. I play against Bang A LOT and believe me she doesn't have even one single move with better priority than his, so the only way to beat this now S-tier guy is pure zoning. As long as you can put a character in CS under sword pressure, and Lambda while having a really harder time still can, you should be alright most of the time.
