Nyaa Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Does anyone feel they have a good grip on this matchup? Playing against May is incredibly frustrating with her air-game and I often feel a lot of her moves just outright beat Rams.
muerto Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 keep the S sword and release the H one, f.s can beat the vertical dolphins at some distances and equipped psychic 2s can easily beat her j2hs. her jump isn't as angled as other chars so deploying jhs can help keeping her in place. Also zoning can be shut down easily by the whale and her meter reversal can be quite hard to punish so you have to be really careful when she has more than 50 meter yrcs help a lot whit this last part. looking at the vs ram thread in the may sub forum jP seems to still be just as godlike.
coil Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 its VERY difficult to win in the air, to punish, to antiair, its hell itself... jP its a good tool but its not that easy to space the jumps well to get a KD with j8D i deploy both swords and run under her jumps, but you have to read very much, constantly
Nyaa Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I hate to deploy S-sword in this matchup, fS is too good to pass up against May. And sometimes you can really beat her air shenanigans with a good read 2S. Predictable May = dead May.
Complexity Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Respect her dumb normals. Anything that ends in frame disadvantage is horrible against May as compared to other chars, so blocked 5ppp and Daruo can be a lot worse than in other matchups. Daruo her if she tries to toss a beachball.
