Oh yeah, how could I forget about 6C > DC > (dashing) 5C side swap?

I've never done the DP D > RC > dashing 2B that you just mentioned, I would have never thought about doing that :v:

That's the thing though, just when am I supposed to DP if I'm expecting a tick Buster? Some Tagers do tick Busters after a single 5A, others do it after about three 5As. Hell, there are others who would go for tick Buster resets instead of following up with a combo. That's why I don't like fighting Tagers, it's all a huge mindfuck.

What I need to do is up my zoning game so that I don't have to worry about that crap until after I get magnetized by Spark Bolt or whatever :v:

Yeah, I lol'd at 6C > Yukikaze,

Bleh, you're usually much better than this when you play against me. Your hit-confirming took a deep dive in this match, that and the things you did hit-confirm weren't followed up with the proper combo. Lots of random stuff going on here, I know that you're better than this so I'll just have to go ahead and say that this is definitely one of your worst matches.

lolz...yeah sometimes you either have to mash, guess, or watch them like a hawk if you wanna do it the hard way

j.c rapes tager if you space yourself correctly, like j.a>falling j.c will keep them at a distance and air ice sword air dash j.c covers a huge distance

@cael

uhh....you need to work alot on hit confirming and execution, 6c is godly if you know how to use it like a beast(fadoogle :P), 623c is always a gamble, if you hit it you'll get out of pressure for free, if you whiff or if they block then you die

yeah...look on that combo thread.....wherever that is now

biggest thing you need to work on is your followups after hit confirming imo....like learn when antiair 6c>dc>5c won't reach and react to it so you will do something like antiair 6c>dc>j.c>j.d>6c>dc>5c>sjc>j.2c>j.214c(don't take my word for this combo since im just putting stuff that shud work together)

Yeah that video isnt very current of my "abilities", if you will.

I've long since learned better hit confirming, the only issue i still have is... DP'ing too often in a match.

I dont have any more recent vids -_- FML.

finally got me new recorder. :)

your opponent was either very passive or didnt care for winning.

A good Ragna would ID the hell out of such a hyper Jin.You need to calm down, and not jump around so often. You also need better combos. You wasted 25 meter for 236D on a combo that was bluebeat and was over 20 hits. Never go for more than a 20 hit combo with Jin, by that point its techable. Also... fight better opponents, Ragna vs Jin should never be that easy for Jin unless you're fighting a total scrub.

But like Nini said, Old vid.

I hope you've gotten somewhat better. I'm not gonna assume you still play this way anymore.

暴れ、暴れ、暴れ、暴れ、暴れ、暴れ、暴れ、暴れ、暴れぇ・・・・・・・・herp derp

my god that guy was just bored i think, you throw out plenty of obvious j.b crossups that he could air throw/ID easily. lolololol@those ch 6c dc barriers

Err... I believe that he was going for a 3C > 236D setup, it would have been a legit combo had he not gone for a dashing 6C after Sekkajiin. There's no reason for him to do that unless his fighting Rachel, Mu, or Arakune since they're out of 2D's range if you don't use dashing 6C > 2D. That or if he's going for the 5B > 5C > Sekkajin > (dashing) 6C > DC > 5C > 2C > sJC > j.C > j.D > AD > cross-under j.D/j.236D reset. Which goes on to the next point...

What kind of resets were you trying to go for? I saw 5C > 2C > sJC > random ass AD > j.D. It worked once because he was mashing but I didn't see that thing cross-him up even once. You gotta ease down on those Burst baits, I fucking lol'd when you managed to "read" his last Burst and still got hit by it because you stopped blocking for some reason. I also lol'd when you tried to go for a 3C > 236D reset but you mistimed the 2B and still continued what would have been 2B > 5C > DP B > corner stuff XD

I was being really gimmicky and timed those resets wrong, as for the blue beat and droped combos lol netplay. the empty 6c ch was trying to bait.

Bad hitconfirm, bad abare, bad use of meter, too much jumping around the place. I like the fact that you can do the 623C CH>follow up combo though. Even japanese players drop it.

Then again, what's the point of uploading videos almost half a year old?

testing out quality and i dont really got any new replays, ive been wanting to get in some more matches but ive been pretty tired this whole week.

^^This, that first video was a bunch of randomness. I did like the fact that you used that Forward Throw > dash under > reverse 6C gimmick. Too bad that you couldn't follow up that 6C combo properly :/

The second match was a big improvement, there were some things that you didn't follow-up properly but it still turned out to be a pretty decent match.

You do rely a lot on those, but it's not necessarily a bad thing seeing how jin has a LOT of gimmicks ranging from bad to gdlk. Just beef up your hitconfirm and use your meter better. Your style is fine as is imo.

do you guys think i rely on tricks too much? my style is more gimicky and baiting.

yes you rely on lots of gimmicks, that's good, you just seem to employ the wrong tactics in certain match ups. Overall, your Jin is good, just work on your hit confirms, and combo choices.

2nd vid:

Mix up at 2:02 to 2:04 was crispy.

i think you were trying to be really flashy in that match cause I saw hella illegitimate stuff going on, like j.236D midscreen and the opponent wasn't close to you, dropping combos for cross-ups, etc.

I noticed you go for RC, 8, j.B after a blocked 214B/C. I prefer RC, 66, j.B, j.2C into blockstrings just too keep my pressure advantage. j.B after 8 is a little predictable and gives the opponent lots of time to react.

not sure about the icecar>rc>8>Jb stuff i was doing that alot that day for some reason xD

but i find, icecar>rc>66 really preditable and can easily be ib dp or anybody could mash a normal out to counter it.

i think. icecar>rc>2b/6a/improvise, is really tricky.

and yeah crossup j.b>2a>6a/improvise, is a really good gimmick people tend to fall for the mix up all the time.

eh... RC, 66, is better but you can also RC the 2nd hit for 3C knockdown instead, also a good gimmick. In comparison to RC, 8, j.B its less predictable, that Hakumen made you pay for it many times.
