Reioumu Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Hmm you might want to throw in a section for Seal or CH combos. Like 2d j.d 2369c j.d 2369c 5d j.b dj j.b j.c (as shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1N7RYrc9fQ) Also from one of the old JOYBOX videos. 5a 5b 2b j.b j.d 2b 623b j.b j.623b 5a 214214d 5b 9 b+c (video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Z9kO8oS-OA) Though I need to do some testing and figure a few things out for myself.
WUT Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 What about if you're NOT blocking the Sekkajin(mashy sword)? I've heard you can IB it but I'm lacking practice in that department. Can you actually IB in the middle of getting hit by it and 2D->teleport out that way? If they keep mashing it until it ends and you're on the ground eventually it won't combo. I then treat it the same way I always treat Sekkajin: I Barrier Guard until I'm far enough out, then I take a 3C CH.
All-around Poke Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Okay guys, we're making some progress here. Managed to get the BnB combos down. I'm having trouble with this one, which I've seen in one Dora's matches: basic start-up combo ending with 2C - 2369C - V - j.D - 2369C - V - 5D My problem is with the second shuriken, when I go for the 5D he techs out and I can't manage to land. I tried instantly shurikening and delaying it, but I still can't manage to land it. If anyone can give me some input on the exact timing, it'll be much appreciated. Also, I only tried this combo on Ragna and Jin, so I wouldn't know if it's character specific. ;O Oh and thanks to AtTheGates for making a vid on youtube about the 4-seal combo really helped out. EDIT: I got this combo to work only on Carl, V-13 and Noel. So maybe this is char specific, but if everyone finds out otherwise please do tell.

JinSaotome Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 What does Bang get off of CH 3C? I've done some theorizing so far and all I got is 3C -> 2369C -> tackle super x:
WUT Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 What does Bang get off of CH 3C? I've done some theorizing so far and all I got is 3C -> 2369C -> tackle super x: You get a 2B into combo off a CH 3C.
DaiAndOh Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 You get a 2B into combo off a CH 3C. Really? I was doing 2a, 5b, aircombo. Nice!
C.Roika Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I have a question regarding defending against a rushdown by Jin. After playing about 30 matches and having fought 18 Jins I know what they do (because they all did the same thing, with varying degrees of aggression) but I just can't seem to defeat them consistently. I can deal with the Ice swords but I keep getting comboed off of his Ice Ride special. I've tried D'ing it, jumping over it (or at least trying to trade with it off a J.B) and sliding under it with 3C, but to no avail. The Jin player usually either does the special again or uses his 5D. Is there any way to counter them if try to rush you down with Ride the Icening?

The ice car is punishable on block, especially if you IB it.
C.Roika Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Thanks WUT, you just helped me beat 2 Jin spammers in a row.
10stars Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Found alot of 5kish bang install combos, a corner loop involving his bumper while in bang install mode, and a 6k damage midscreen loop, video will be posted tomorrow.
Nihzlet Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Looking forward to it, 10stars. We need more combos while in Bang Install, most combos I've seen are out of FRKZ.
JinSaotome Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 so, lets say I do 5A 5B 2B 236D on block and run up for 623C would it be better to outright 623C them? Cause I like to do 5A *wait* 623C instead, but I fear that it might be easier to mash out of.
10stars Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 It depends on your opponent, if its a player that enjoys mashing out of pressure, 5a first, or you have the option to do another nail pressure rep. If its a hesitant player, straight run command throw works. If it's someone who reacts to the command throw and beats it out with a regular throw, run up 6b for a free knockdown/reset.

Cause I like to do 5A *wait* 623C instead, but I fear that it might be easier to mash out of. Just a correction, it's 2369D so you can TK the nails. And only do 623C if your opponent is scared of you, meaning you know that they're gonna just block and wait. I wouldn't advise doing it the first time you use the blockstring since I know a lot of people's first reactions are to mash A out of strings. Just do 5a/2a as stated instead and you should be fine. I dunno about 5b, but you can string into it from 5a/2a. But yeah, 10stars knows what he's talking about.
10stars Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Unbreakable corner pressure found during bang install mode, + resets / loops if at any point a hit lands. Bang install mode is like playing magneto. It almost isn't fair.

HolyBadSanta Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Special trick of the day : you can land the D.Drive 2363214C after 6D, the trick is to do it in TK. useful against Noel & Carl as 2C, 2363214C don't work. If you set a Bumper B if you have your back in corner or Bumper D next to a cornered opponent, you can dash on the bumper after the kick of the throw like jB 623B or 623C , or jB,jB 623B or 623C. Some stupids FRKZ combo tests : 6D,5D,jD,2B,6C,then do 9 to AirThrow, if you want to reset the pressure : cancel the air throw by a dash and do jD to send them on the ground. if you enter the direction of a dash you can dashcancel the D has mentionned before, so you can do 6D into 5D. after the hit of the normal throw, if you dash you will be airborne so you can do things like 6B,9B,623B or 623 if you are clsoe enough or in corner. 2D 9B (you re behind) 9B (you pass through) again, 9C or 9B 623C

I knew you could do anything out of 6C if you jc it, but I never thought of doing 2363214C. Mad props. I'll definitely work on the execution for that combo. I'll have to take a look at these Furinkazan tricks for myself tomorrow.
WUT Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 2B, 6C works on v-13. Probably old news but it makes me happy.

OniYouji Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Height: 192 cm Weight: 105 kg Okay, that makes a LOT more sense than the artbook...I was gonna say, if the artbook was accurate, then he would be a STICK! O_O Thankfully, it was easy to tell, due to Carl being on the very next page.
Reioumu Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb4GFkVf6XY The bang install video i promised. I shat bricks. Beautiful. Utterly beautiful
All-around Poke Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb4GFkVf6XY The bang install video i promised. You sir have made Bang install unfair. That corner loop is insane and that 2B - jC loop is just ridiculous.
