It actually is an odd story when you look at it like that. Basically, I didn't get serious about fighting games til CT (I started with SF4). Since I was still a noob and a scrub I went with Ragna til I learned the ropes. In CS, I found his playstyle boring so I switched to Hazama cause I could play him anyway I wanted to. In CS2, I went to Tsubaki because I always wanted to main her but I could never do 22x on pad. Once I got a stick, she was easy for me to learn so if anything I'll stick with her through the rest of the Blazblue series.

Pretty much, i went to friends house, and they had BB:CT set up. At the time, i NEVER played fighters, and just button mashed...so i was scrolling through the character select screen. And came across Bang. And i was like, oh this guy looks pretty badass. And my friends kinda just looked at each other, and kinda laughed. Started using him anyway. Still use him in CS2. Thank you for Blazblue for helping me discover my love for fighting games, and for Bang :D

Having an unsafe backdash and hopping around the stage made me stick with Hakumen since Callamity Trigger.

I picked my main as soon as I saw him. Unfortunately he wasn't playable yet; fortunately he was in the next game. Something about that fedora....

I picked Hakumen in CT just messing around with him and had fun, mostly just pretending he was like Sephiroth[dat B CT color]. I learned both characters at the same time in CS1 and now i'm still playing them both and having more fun than ever constantly trying to improve my skills.

So Battle Fantasia

Yes. Yes, I main a game that I've never even played. I cracked BlazBlue into letting me play as not a Battle Fantasia character, but Battle Fantasia itself. I AM Battle Fantasia.

First I was going to try maining Noel but she seemed too easy and then I heard of D spammers and w/e else. Go bored did story mode, I unlocked Mu and tried her. She seemed easy to use and I loved the way she worked. I'm still a beginner with her and have lots to learn with her. But that's not a problem with me because I feel that she's awesome. :)

In any fighting game, I usually favor female characters because it fills me with joy beating the snot out of arrogant males. ^o^v Mileena in MK2, Sakura in Street Fighter, Ivy in Soul Calibur. So with Guilty Gear, I knew I wanted to main a female. After seeing just how friggin' fierce I-No was, I went with her and haven't stopped. Regarding BB, I started with Noel in CT, but then moved to Hazama in CS. For CSII, I started with Litchi, but was having a helluva time getting down certain combos. Thus, I went with Rachel. She's fun, she's different and her quotes are hilarious. "Know your place." It also helps that I love tea. XD

Blazblue caught me way off guard for characters. Being a GG Dizzy main I searched for her mirror as closely as I could but finaly came to the realization it wasn't going to happen. Two months of trying to learn Rachel and her shenanigans in CT with only mediocre results if any and very clumsy combat made me drop her in favor of Bang. To me at the time Bang had everything, Nail bumpers, simple combos and a very distinct playstyle. All this was destroyed by CS when I watched the first Zakiyama Hazama video. Instant block to Houtenjin... Sold.

After I picked up CS and got comfortable with Hazama I made sure to play through the story on my bad days. Little did I know how much I'd like an hoenst "bad guy" character. Apparently style does matter.

The first fighting game I played was Soul Calibur 2 where I fell in love with Nightmare and all of his badassery. When I got to playing Blazblue, I started as Ragna (for obvious reasons) but as I got better and actually tried out other characters, Hakumen somewhat reminded me of Nightmare and I guess that's how he became my main. For Mu as my sub, well, when my friends and I started out, we decided who would learn what characters (which we have not stuck to), but none of us knew what Mu was like, so I was like "I claim dat ass!"

Having minimal experience with fighting games beforehand, I didn't really choose my main based on any technical things. I'd played Siegfried/Nightmare in SC... and I'd actually wager that's the only fighting game previously I'd played. Of course, after being introduced to BB during CT, and looking at the cast of BlazBlue(as characters, primarily), I came to the conclusion that Ragna would be my main. It followed that I actually rather like the majority of his moves just in appearance over anyone else's, though Hakumen is a close second. There's still no character that I would say is perfectly suited to my taste, stylistically, and probably won't be one like that.

Also I would main Sol in GG, chosen in the same way, except that the only GG game I have is XXAC on the Wii... Needless to say I only play it a little, but I definitely know I would main Sol and sub Order-Sol if I ever played GG seriously as well.

Well, I am a strange person I started playing at CT and mained Jin wasn't a huge fan of him as a charater but I likes his play style so I stuck with him. CS cam out and I picked up Hazama cause no one at the school I go to played him and I figured he would be interesting. I got stuck on him because I love how he looks, his attitude, one of his astral quotes and just the way he plays suit me so I've been working on him ever since.

I didn't really like any of the characters in CT so I never played it, but when CS came out and my friend got it I thought i'll try Hazama he looks ok... after flailing about on the buttons and getting thoroughly destroyed afew times I went into challenge mode, learnt a few combos and fell in love with how he fought, then I done story mode and saw how badass he was, and thus I mained Hazama...

A few months later I bought CS, bought the DLC characters and then I now play Makoto mainly, she has the funniest things to say and her fighting is more in your face which is fun... I also enjoy being called a tier whore ;_;

Well, my first character in CT was Litchi, but this was before I even knew anything about the fighting engine. I did okay with her until my friend picked up Tager.

Trying to find a way to overcome the soviet damage, I looked up the special edition combo DVDs on Youtube. Ragna looked interesting, so I tried his stuff. It was too hard for me at the time, so I kept looking through the combo DVDs. Sooner or later, I stumbled across ν-13. Commence D-mashing.

When CS was released, I expected to be able to mash with λ-11. That worked out horribly. Then I discovered Challenge mode. λ was still my main, until CS2 came out. At that time, I saw a video of Jin's corner combo (with 623B and 623C) and decided to try his challenges. I've been best as him ever since.

TL;DR: ν because D, λ because Challenge mode, :JI: because corner.

Well, I always went for characters who had either an eerie and demented personality or the ones who looked cool and collected. In guilty gear I absolutely fell in love with ABA lol prior to her though, I used mostly female characters (except in SSB). I started with bridget, moved on to may, baiken, and milla. Then CT came was coming out. I watched numerous videos of rachel. I thought that I would stick to my female cast since it would be appropriate seeing as how I used all females in GG. I was almost certain that rachel would be my main once the game was released. Then suddenly, I looked at jin... I had no real interest in him initially, but for some reason he called to me. I picked him as the first person I used on CT and it was settled. I suck with him ever since then. Even though there are so many nice characters in bb, I couldn't imagine myself maining someone other than jin.
