How'd you pick your main?

I don't know if this has been done yet, I looked on the first few pages and didnt see it, so yeah. Like the topic says, How'd did you pick your main?

I like fast, mobile characters: hence, Taokaka. Ragna's my sub because he's fairly straightforward and aggressive.

When I was in GG, I main'd easy to learn characters, i.e. Sol and Ky. So I tried Ragna and Jin. I ended up liking Jin more, but that's probably because I main'd Ky towards the end of GG.

I tend to play as girl characters in fighting games. I only play guy characters that I like. That being said, I plan to learn all the females of BB. My main is Noel and my secondary is Carl but I'm currently picking up Rachel and Taokaka.

I'm new to fighting games so I picked Ragna because he is pretty straight forward. As I get more experienced I'll pick a sub and possibly a new main, but I'm having a hard time deciding, because I worry too much about picking a cheap character, and I know I should play as who I want and not care at all.

Well, I wanted someone who's like bridget, a "glass" zoner type of character. So Nu. And I wanted someone like slayer, who could deal stupid damage off small amount of hits. So Hakumen. And they're robots. Robots are cool. Used to want to main tao, but she's my main secondary now.

Nu is like Dizzy... Dizzy's been my main since GGX so easy transition. That she's high tier is just a nice bonus after what happened to Dizzy in AC.

I main Ara and sub Haku. I tend to like weird, over the top characters so Ara fit the bill. In terms of character design, it was Ara and Haku who attracted me the most so I tried 'em and rather liked their style of play.

I tend to main female characters in fighting games. Noel's throw whiff throw combos were intimidating, Tao feels weird and I didn't like Nu or Rachel at all. Hence, Litchi.

I always use who I feel is the true, "good guy" in the game...So in GG, it was Ky for me and I assumed that Jin would be the same in BB...I sure was wrong about that. Next, I jumped to Hakumen, but he's kind of extreme with his "justice"... So, finally, I've settled with the real hero of justice-Bang Shishigami!

Rachel because the electricity animation reminds me of cartoons a lot... but I'm also thinking of Haku-men since he is samurai-like (although Jyuubei is full blown samurai in his armor) Thats probably why I was Baiken in GG

I was originally going to main Jin but decided to try Ragna when I got the game. It stuck. XD As of now I have a solid Ragna that just needs more match up experience. As for a Sub, Im thinking Bang or Rachel. Both are incredibly fun to me, I just suck as them.

At first I picked Ragna (aka Dante Sparda) because his design and fight style looks cool and the mechanism of life drain is quite a novelty, and also he's a rush down character. Still, after "some" things that I didn't liked about how he is handled in the story, slowly I started to play other characters and it was then that I found that Jin (aka Vergil Sparda) is more appealing to my playstyle because he is a "jack of all trades", the kind of characters that I always like in fighting games. So basically, Jin is my main because he is a jack of all trades that is very solid as a fighter, and also Ice element is always cool! Also I'm planning to learn Rachel, just to have a 180 degree different play style to learn and also that style looks sooo interesting :razz:

As far as I could discern, there will never be a more perfect character for me in any fighting game than Anji Mito. I love everything about botht the character and his gimmicks and playstyle. When I observed Blazblue, I was looking for characters that had similar traits or playstyles to Anji. The only two that I thought were close were Litchi and Bang, and I just generally liked Litchi a bit more than Bang at the end of the day. I'm glad I made that decision, cause Bang by no means is like Anji. I like GP counters, not GP teleports. And where's mah Fuujin?! Also I've come to recently notice that I am a huge fan of fluid fighting styles, generally full of elegance. I think most of my characters in all fighting games are fairly flexible with their playstyles and whatnot. Anji Mito (GG) / Litchi (BB) / Fiona Mayfield: Lightning or Wind (AH) / Len (MB) / Rose (SFIV) / Makoto (3S) / Siegfried (SC) / Hwoarang and Baek, with occasional Roger (TK) / Komachi (SWR) So, currently, I'm at Main: Litchi / Sub: Bang

I play characters I think look interesting and a step apart from all the other characters design-wise. Faust, Taokaka, and Arakune fit pretty well into this category.

Mine is kind of weird. Before the game had come out, I decided to main Litchi as I thought Straight Through would function the same as Johnny's Mist Slasher or Yamazaki's (KOF) Snake Handler. However, after finding out that it didn't function quite as I had thought, I then switched to Hakumen, as I liked his design and play style(from what I had seen online). When I finally got the game, I tried both, and eventually liked the way Litchi flowed more, hence my main and sub.

i play litchi bcuz of her ability to control space and pressure her opp. in the corner. i also like her technical ability which attracted me to playing her. i also hav jin on the side for my rushdown style aside from the fact he was my first main b4 litchi.

I originally decided on Noel because she seemed like my type of fighting game character. I soon realized that she didn't feel right and moved onto Rachel because I love her character design and zoning capabilities. Eventually I ran through Tao's story mode and she just kind of clicked like the others didn't. Even if I can't drive loop at all Litchi interests me mainly because of her Tanki Machi/Hikkake/Okkake moves. They're just so bad ass it makes me want to pick her up and completely revolve my game around them.

I chose to main Jin because he reminds me a little of Ky in terms of his playstyle, and he eventually became my favorite character storyline-wise. (ice is also my favorite element :3) Originally my main was gonna be Rachel since I love her design and personality, but I can't quite get the hang of using her just yet. :<

I picked Noel because she is a girl with guns, and Arakune because hes a big bug. IMO this is one game that you can just pick who you like someone will hate you and, someone will stomp your digi butt regardless of your character.

Mained Jin because 1-he's pretty 2-he uses ice, my favorite element after lightning (guess who i mained in GG) 3-I liked his character design 4-i liked his moves Noel? Cleric John Preston with breasts whats not to like

I picked Ragna as my main because... 1. He looks awesome. 2. Darkness Element and absorbs life. 3. His combos look cool 4. I liked his story. Then Carl for my sub 1. Insane combos. 2. He's bat shit crazy. 3. He wears a top hat.
