werewolfgold Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Oh shit, the names! The songs! AH! There's gotta be a cd-release of it at some point. I mean LIVE FREAKING DIVA AND DISSONANCE AND AHMAGAH! D: There most likely will be a DVD/CD combo like last time. They certainly had all the cameras and such recording.
SolxBaiken Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Seems like there was a MUCH better selection of tracks [at least for me, compared to the last one] still had no Sheep Will Sleep (,if you become fatigued) but definitely more solid choices all around. I'll definitely buy the DVD/CD for this one, but still waiting on Xrd OST ; -; which probably won't happen till closer to console port orz But knowing some of the Xrd track names will do~
HoudiniJr100 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 That list.... I only got one thing to say HHHHHHHNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
SoWL Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Oh, look, more track titles!Does the Sheep Count the Sheep? (Bedman) - that's an excellent way to express the track's main motif being repeated over and over again in different ways, like through multiple levels of reality (I'd make an Inception joke if I'd have actually watched it). Still one of the best new themes, and the name only makes it better.Starry Story (May) - ehh, I'm not seeing it. It'd have worked much better if May's stage was being shown at night, but as it is right now, all I'm hearing is Blue Water Blue Sky II. Maybe they're going to do it in the next Xrd installment, since night sea can be quite a sight to behold, especially in a world with magic and bizarre animal species and whatnot. The Lily of Steel (Millia) - Ishiwatari sure is in a lily mood lately, isn't he. This name's way too generic and could have been given to any theme of any female character ever. "Writhe in Pain" wasn't the peak of originality, either, but it at least reflected Millia's assassin occupation. I suppose she does have a bit more flower motifs in her moveset now, but I'd have preferred if the name change reflected her development in the story, not in the game itself.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Can't wait to hear these, especially Bang's themes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tokkan Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Relating to the recent news: I hope Lambda's theme is a remix of "Kuon no Tatakai" from Alter Memory.
SoWL Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I'm bracing for the original Awakening the Chaos, you know, just in case. As for Celica, I'm expecting another vocal theme for some reason, maybe because of Drive Qualia. She also might get some VS tracks against Ragna, Jin and/or Terumi/Hazama.
Dawn of Musou Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Relating to the recent news: I hope Lambda's theme is a remix of "Kuon no Tatakai" from Alter Memory. Is that the short remix of Awakening the Chaos or the long 6 minute remix? Both of them are pretty good tbh. I'm bracing for the original Awakening the Chaos, you know, just in case. As for Celica, I'm expecting another vocal theme for some reason, maybe because of Drive Qualia. She also might get some VS tracks against Ragna, Jin and/or Terumi/Hazama. Drive Qualia should just be her theme. If not then some instrumental battle remix of it.
Tokkan Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Is that the short remix of Awakening the Chaos or the long 6 minute remix? It's not a remix of Awakening the Chaos, it's the music that played during the Ragna VS Lambda fight in episode 6. The short remix of AtC is called "Konton no Taidou" while the long one is "Konton no Rinne".
kosmos badgirl Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Any Japanese media did a report about the concert?, I know dengeki did one but that's all?.
Tenj|n Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Gamer did one and Ishiwatari himself strutted the stage playing 3 songs. http://www.gamer.ne.jp/news/201407150050/
Vulcan422 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 From the Xrd thread. While we are at soundtrack, I noticed this: http://www.play-asia.com/guilty-gear-xrd-sign--paOS-13-49-en-70-7txr.html Let’s Rock! - The multi-talented man behind Guilty Gear, Daisuke Ishiwatari, once again arranges and composes the music of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- featuring over 80 heavy rock tracks! Retailers often can leak some stuff. This may or may not be true, but that would mean that we will have music from previous games maybe Hint at possible rearrangements of original themes?
Tokkan Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 It could just be Play-Asia talking out their arse; wouldn't surprise me if that were the case.
werewolfgold Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 For the record GameStop, Amazon, and the like say 27 tracks. Play-Asia maybe...mistyped it...?
king of heart Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Yeah I was at the concert with Elven Shadow. I am not really familiar with BBCP. Ost but Valk vs Relius theme was horrible. On the other hand "Ride the Fire" was way better than in game one. Maybe because we kept screaming "Let it out"
D.R.F. Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Yeah I was at the concert with Elven Shadow. I am not really familiar with BBCP. Ost but Valk vs Relius theme was horrible. Idk imo ct soundtrack is nothing compared to cp's, except like Rachel's original queen of rose
Blade Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I don't suppose anyone who went to see the concert got a "release date" for GGxBB Music Live 2014 album? Also Bedman's theme reminds me of that one GG Isuka song "Sheep will Sleep (if YOU get fatigued...)"
Clousephinat Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I wasn't expecting Valentine's Final Boss Theme to be there, even though I like more The Mask Does Not Laugh is still awesome like most of the rest of Overture's songs. But... I'm more surprised with the fact they didn't bring the only OST of Overture that plays in Xrd as well if that's the case, but damn, I'm kinda excited already to hear some of them.
Hecatom Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 What were the songs that they played on the 2014 concert?I don't suppose anyone who went to see the concert got a "release date" for GGxBB Music Live 2014 album? werewolfgold Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Yeah I was at the concert with Elven Shadow. I am not really familiar with BBCP. Ost but Valk vs Relius theme was horrible. ? I love dissonance! I wonder what they did? Eh. I don't remember any major technical screw-ups large enough to topple the song. But, I suppose the song isn't for everyone. What were the songs that they played on the 2014 concert? I suppose I can post this just one more time. CHRONOPHANTASMA (BBCP opening) SIX-HEROES (BBCP 6 Heroes) Does the Sheep Count the Sheep?
