Well you are on xbox, so if you just seek us out on XBL, we'll most likely answer the call and play. I would anyway. @bjholmes Problem with your theory is that the controller locking into the 4 position isn't constant, it seems to happen randomly and only when I actually move my controller to that position, and it'll act like its sticking and then randomly stop, which that suggests controller sticking but I know it isnt cause if that was the case all my other games would have the same problem. If it was reading 4 as neutral, then i'd forever walk backwards and be a charge god with Kain

Oh. Maybe if you delete and re-download it the problem will go away; perhaps the download got corrupted. Of course, I'm just throwing stuff out here; I have no idea what I'm talking about. :v: So, who else mains Tizoc?

quick question on Freeman, if any of you know about him. His lvl 2 slash super is kind of iffy when I use it on FBA, ggpo's emulator. On a jump in, I do it sometimes (without holding it down, so it comes out immediately). I trade with the opponent on the first slash, but the second slash comes out anyway and still hits them. This seems to contradict with the lvl 1 slash super, where you can be hit while the slash is out and the slash will disappear (meaning that you have no chance of trading if you didn't already). Any insight into this? My current theory is that the lvl 2 slash super is actually a projectile while lvl 1 isn't.

I'm not sure why. I do know that if you get a counterhit with his DP+A/C special against an airborne opponent you can juggle a super from it though.

You can juggle off any AA CH or launch CH in the game, like Terry can CH dp+K break > dp+K break> BUSTAH WOLF. Hell, in the corner he can even CH dp+K > BUSTAH WOLF > BUSTAH WOLF. That's just how the juggle/counterhit system works

I know enough about CH juggle > super about freeman. I just don't know why his lvl 2 slash super works like that. It is cool though. Also, how exactly does blocking and JD work? Whenever I do JD a move, it's because I blocked at maybe 8 frames or so (guess-feel thing) before I was actually hit, similar to timing a parry in 3s. But when I try to block at maybe 3 frames or something I get hit, while I was sure that I was blocking. I don't think it's a connection issue with my joystick, as it seems to work fine in other fighting games I use it with.

ok, i did some practice and i'm(almost)ready for a fight. Just add my gamertag-Aedesyr- on xbla. I'm still using the crappy 360 controller, so i'll be an easy kill.

I know this is old news, but I was curious if anyone had any NEW news on the topic? Will there be any changes to the content/new content? And any word on price? I had always been intrigued by the game since its by Aksys, but didn't feel like getting it for 360..

There is already a general discussion for Battle Fantasia, but i thought this would better suit the PSN title for news on it/differences if any..

Goddamn the bots are just getting craftier and craftier.

figured out why my inputs were so weird. Final Burn Alpha runs on ggpo's engine or something, so if you change the input delay on GGPO, the input delay changes in FBA. And more people should play on ggpo. it's free :eng101:

Just a tip, Terry's close C (f feint cancel), close C (f feint cancel), crouching C, etc. chain is annoying, and is very good for guard breaking and hit-confirming. And epic Engrish.

I'm aware of that. I just thought it was worth mentioning since I believe those moves have upper body invulnerability (at least the C version should).

iirc the A version is -10 on block and the C version is -1 on block or something like that. I think to punish the C version you can block the first few hits then have enough of a gap to JD the last hit but I'm not sure. othewise maybe you can punish even -1 stuff with a really fast super (kevin or grant maybe?)

Hotaru used to be my main before jumping ship to B.Jenet once I got the hang of her differences in KoFXI and Garou. bjholmes can confirm this since he has played my (crappy) Hotaru, but forget about punishing it online. WAY too much lag. However offline, and I've somewhat tested it, but yea she can get squarely punched in the mouth on block for that super. Grant can definitely punish that, not to sure about Kevin though.

Don't forget Gato with his 1-frame super. And Tiamat, I'm almost certain that you cannot JD the last hit if you block the first few; I'm pretty sure this game doesn't let you JD while in blockstun, which is what makes pressure strings so effective. Also, HZMN, I'm pleased to announce that I got some good practice in a couple weeks ago and that I'm no longer a scrub. :yaaay:

k just wondering. You are right the game does not allow you to JD if already in blockstun, I just thought that move might have a big enough gap that you wouldn't still be in blockstun by the time the last hit comes around.

part of the reason I was thinking you may be able to JD the last hit is because I can't figure out why that move is prettymuch never used in japanese match videos. I figure it is probably some kinda safety issue, but the C version is only -1 on block. any ideas? I think the move can evade lows too so I'm really curious why japanese players don't use it...

I haven't played Garou in forever but last I checked I was still decently ranked on the leadboards. Grant is just a beast. Good times, good times. Sliver of T.O.P. bar at the very start, rape commences.

The one thing I remember most from Garou online was shoto-butts. People playing Marco like flowchart Kens on steroids. So annoying. But nothing is more annoying than Hokatumaru, who is by far the most annoying SNK character ever conceived. He's the one thing I despise about this game.

Can someone help me...i have some input lags(i think) when playing garou on ggpo...for example if i type really fast [qcf,qcf+k] the super strike won't come out...and if i type qcf qcf really slow...here he comes ;D ...becouse of that i can't connect super after simple P or K TT...help me please...

garou it's a great game...i badly wan't to play with someone normally...

Lag is to be expected, it's GGPO, plus it hasn't been updated in a while. Just keep playing online until you can get accustomed to the lag, I'm okay with lag. Also, in Garou inputs can be buffered easier than most fighting games. Practice that offline if you can.
