Tiamat should learn to prioritize import games over localized ones. Still DC port has off sync sound but at least it's perfect frame by frame.

Every SNK game should have Geese in it, no exceptions for any reason >:(. I guess his kid's in MotW but Rock's a far cry from Geese's awesomeness.

Alt, you should know by now that Rock is Terry and Geese's love child. Epic Legendary Nightmare Wild Wolf Yaoi kindle.

I bought them MOTW and LB2 years ago...probably in 2000 or something...certainly long before any PS2 versions came out. Hell I've still got my dreamcast version of 3S lol

Honestly, I haven't played it too much. I got into Hotaru (I know she's Dizzy's twin, somehow I know) and I practiced with Rock abit. Feels balanced, while feeling enjoyable and not obsolete. Deserves a port to the PS2. ... If you switched Dizzy's and Hotaru's clothes, there would be no big difference. And they both get surrounded by small furry animals. Hm...

Just got this game like last week.... I play: Rock Jan Hoon Dong Hwan S--t. i'm playing too many fighters. Any combos for Kim's sons???

With dong hwan I don't do alot of combos, per se. I try to get in and do a crouch C, and cancel it into either his qcb+B/D overhead or 236D low hit popup and then 623C or TK236236Ax2, 623C. Both moves are pretty safe. Also learn to use his feints, as his normals have pretty good reach damage and priority. His hidden super (236236236C) works well after a break. I wouldn't ever bother using Dong Hwan's 236236B/D super. With Jae Hoon, get good with his break, because it leaves them wide open for either of his supers, or a double super (236236A, then 236236B). One of the better breaks in the game, but difficult to get used to using in combos. Luckily in MOTW you dont need to charge moves for very long. And MOTW did get a ps2 port. It's quite nice, too.

I play the PS2 port. Not bad at all. I can't really compare to the original since I haven't played it. Anyway: Hidden supers? good stuff. but alas I have a problem...see I can't read jap. I can recognize in air symbols and during symbols but I don't understand what the command list says and gamefaqs doesn't have a guide up. Link?

Hush you. clearly i am dizzy #1 Fan-Boy. she is mine.

NO.

I was talking about Hotaru/Dizzy doujin (which won't be realized no matter how desperate I want).

You can keep Dizzy for yourself, because Hotaru belongs to me. :p

On-topic: are there differences between arcade MOTW & console MOTW? Just being curious here. :)

I played this game (PS2 port) a bit earlier this year and I like it. One of the best, if not the best fighting game SNK's ever made. Too bad only few people play this game and finding someone to play this game with is difficult. As for the characters I use: Terry, Gato and Jenet.

GUD WE HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING, I SENSE YOU TO BE A POSSIBLE FRIEND CANDIDATE.

the ps2 version sort of lags compared to the arcade.

neogeo arcades will always be better than their home ports.

and all the Neogeo collection titles have a little bit of lag/slow down in-game.

i never tried online cuz i can't but for sure i know that Lastblade collection and Kof orochi and nests saga have minor lag. and Garou perhaps a little. just not that bad like dreamcast version where the music has to skip and the sound effects had to load and be played 2 seconds later.

The Garou version for PS2 is so more better. The deal is allot of people don't know better and think that the ROMs were arcade perfect and they weren't. The ROMs had so many infinites and was broken as fuck. I think Garou IS the best fighter SNK has ever made, with LB2 being a close second.

... ... ... How... the FUCK... could you have imperfect roms. I really want to know that, since, y'know, isn't the only way you can GET roms in the first place taking the arcade version and ripping it, basically?

Posted

sometimes roms are ripped incomplete. with neogeo games. sometimes they tried to rip the arcade version and tried converting to home consoles.

There's the prototype version ROM with all kinds of sick combos that aren't in the final arcade release. Which is technically "arcade perfect" as it's not a ROM of the final version but of some early prototype. And then there's hacked versions... my friend played a bunch of KoFs where juggles flat out didn't work in the ROMs he had, which are super easy B&B combos in the actual game. Assuming you get a non-hacked ROM of the final arcade release, you are good to go! But plenty of people like messing with things for some reason shrug.
