Oiboi Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 As much as i would love to see AC on pc and ps3 i don`t think they`re gonna do that. At least not soon. IMHO alot of old GG players would just dump BB for AC with good netplay. I know i would. This. Hell, I don't even play BB. It's just not the fighter I hoped it would be. I guess I'll see if CS is gonna be any fun, but I don't have my hopes up.
Jarv Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 As a player since Reload, I'd put equal amounts of time into CS and AC+ on PS3. Also I'm sure I'm not the only person who (after BlazBlue has been balanced a little more) would love a Guilty Gear vs. BlazBlue game.
Zerite Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Alot of old GG players wouldn't have to dump BB because they don't even play it. O.o
mynus Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Ok. so im pretty mad that Aksys and Arcsys were able to release Battle Failtasia for PSN so easily and we still have no AC+. This just shows how easy this could be. No possible way in the universe that BF has a larger fan base or is more popular than GG so like Arcsys: 'Since its you guys did such a great job with BF and im sure that was just a test run for the inevitable release of AC+ on PSN/Live, we are waiting...impatiently'.

Seconded.

Circuitous Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Battle Fantasia was released on PSN because that was its NA console release, yes?
KD Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Right Circuitous Ok. so im pretty mad that Aksys and Arcsys were able to release Battle Failtasia for PSN so easily and we still have no AC+. Why are you mad again?
NerdJosh Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Right Circuitous Why are you mad again? Burn this man to the ground and peepee on the ashes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aftermath1349 Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I'm surprised they haven't released GGAC on Live Arcade/PSN if only because of the fighter craze that's been going on for the last year or so. It'd be great to have a GG game that I can actually play online with people who I didn't have to search a forum for. Sorry if this has been said a million times already in this thread I'm just far too lazy to read 19 pages of a thread as every thread of this length is half nobesense and like I said, I'm too lazy to deal with that.
EdgeKun Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Ok. so im pretty mad that Aksys and Arcsys were able to release Battle Failtasia for PSN so easily and we still have no AC+. You're really oversimplifying the situation and not realizing how complex the porting process is. First off, Battle Fantasia on PSN is just an ISO release of the Japanese Blu-Ray. (Except localized) They're just selling the exact blu-ray image online, which is fine. There's absolutely no new code, so of course it's easy for them to port it to PSN. Guilty Gear is not possible this way, since there's no current version of it for 360 or PS3. That said they'd have to completely move over and port the existing code base from the Naomi hardware. Saying that Guilty Gear would be easy because Battle Fantasia was is a giant neon sign showing off your ignorance in coding. In addition don't forget that BF was running on the X2 hardware (same hardware BlazBlue is) whereas Guilty Gear is still on the Naomi board. The process for porting these two systems to XBLA and PSN are completely different. You can't just take a program that converts X2 code to XBLA code, then throw Naomi code in and expect the same result. =| Now i'm not saying it's impossible. Triggerheart Exelica, Ikaruga, and Rez on XBLA are all excellent examples that Naomi code can run quite well in an emulated environment, or when re-turned for at least LIVE Arcade. (Whichever of the two. And i'm not saying it's not possible for PSN, but just that the above mentioned titles prove it's do-able on XBLA at least) What I am saying however, is that it's blatant ignorance to claim that "This just shows how easy this could be." with regards to porting BF vs porting Accent Core to PSN.
KD Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 are u serious?... Yeah I'm serious. That's like being mad that Capcom USA is releasing the US version of SSFIV but not putting CvS2 on PSN and Live.
Blade Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I think its been said before but Aksys can't do much on their end. For those who type Japanese and wish to further this cause, try sending a petition here: http://www.arcsystemworks.jp/
qwerty Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 ggac sold like five thousand copies according to vgchartz i doubt anyone at aksys or arcsys cares, play gg on your ps2 and wait for naomi emulation for netplay
Luv-Sic Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 ggac sold like five thousand copies according to vgchartz i doubt anyone at aksys or arcsys cares, play gg on your ps2 and wait for naomi emulation for netplay If this is true, then that's just plain sad. Well at least there's still Tekken BR to play and Super Street Fighter and BBCS to look forward to...
Blade Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 In other news, we may see a GG2X (not a typo) or GG3 for PS3/360. I do hope its a fighter, I have zero rts skill.
Luv-Sic Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Damn, news of a potential GG3 is spreading like fire. That article is similar to the one presented a while back, with similar statements, "we are not abandoning guilty gear" or something along those lines...same stuff just different wording.
IronTager Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 One thing I'm a bit upset about is that Guilty Gear is over. I know Blazblue is out and it's "spiritual successor", however, I'd love if a new Guilty Gear came out.
Blade Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Stop saying it's over. Don't you know what the word 'Overture' means?
IronTager Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Yeah, but Overture isn't a fighting game, it's more of a beat em up, a badass looking one, but still... The biggest problem is that people see Blazblue as the "spiritual successor" instead of thinking of it as it's own game. Honestly, I think Blazblue and Guilty Gear should be two different worlds completely and that they are. I've heard people say that Blazblue is a better version of Guilty Gear, but they're nothing alike in my opinion and honestly, I can only half agree and half disagree. In Guilty Gear, everything is more loose and free. Everything and anything can happen while you're fighting. With Blazblue, it's more set in stone and not as heptic. That's what I think at least... Blazblue isn't as freeflowing though, but a small bit smoother and more organized.
mynus Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 ...I vote for BB forum removal from this site...
mynus Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Yeah I'm serious. That's like being mad that Capcom USA is releasing the US version of SSFIV but not putting CvS2 on PSN and Live. The point was that BF is a bad game. as well as a failure in the arcades.
maraxusofkelds Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 ...I vote for BB forum removal from this site... Here here. Rename it to something like "www.OMGBEEZ.com"
