Kyle Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 This goes from a Fatal Counter Hit J.B into a 2]D[ loop & you ave the option to end in super. I have no doubt this a much better follow up than A regular BnB with Carl Add Brio. =P When I do perfect my UB set-ups. This will also lead into them.

Kyle Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I finally got to play some CS. Tager UB midscreen is legit. There's also a ghetto version with Airdash J.A, J.A, J.B, 8]D[... Volante set-up needs some improvement tho. It turns out there's a some frames after volante is active and before it can negate with a throw break.... I'm thinking it will require Cantata to space properly... expect more to come.

After watching the vids of the guy who won continuously 18 matches. Seem that spend the distortion on gear it just a waste. Also fermata combos improve a lot the damage output. Why I feel so weird doing 214 214 ]D[...

Might not beat from8]D[ tho Well that is true, but in the case of Carl if you read the movelist for fermata and rhapsoy... it said that you need to release D. Also remember that both distorcion are executed with the drive buton, for Carl drive moves work with the realease of the button. O well, i hope that you are right and you can do nirvana distorcion moves without negative edge.

EDIT- Everything works on tap, which was to be expected. Nirvana activation for her normals/specials needs to happen before they come out, meaning move delay. For supers, however, the activation is cancelled into super flash, so there's not much of a delay. Maybe a couple frames. They seem to come out the same as usual though, meaning they should all work in the same combos. 8D > 214214 D-TAP also works.

It happened to me a few times in the past few days and it ended up with me losing the match. As soon as I use RoM and Bang uses his Umbrella DD, Nirvana just stops moving as if I never used the move and I lose 50 Heat D:.

ZONG_one Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 He probably hit you on the first frame/way early out of start up. Did you see Carl's little insignia thing pop up? Like when you try wake up gear and get stuffed? Super flash > get hit > no gear > -50 heat. Oh wait.. You didn't get hit though, right?

Well i think that the sad thing about Nirvana distortion moves is that they don’t beneficiate from the 5 frame buffer input. Also, like this game doesn’t count negative edge for especial moves, on Carl side you have only 1 chance to input the ]D[ for execute nirvana distortion. Because that moves only come out if you release D. For example in other fighters games, when you want to do a special move like 236 + button. You have two chances for that move to come out, one when you do 236 + press the button and the other one when you release the button. On BB if you hold the button it have in simple word 5 chances for the move to come out… but it seem that on Nirvana distortion you just have only one chance... I suppose that is the reason why I felt odd doing Nirvana distortion moves on this game.
