Alex073088 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 are you not suppose to be allowed to pay for it right away even though the order went through and they give you a confirmation email code?

ATG Warlord Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I'm buying this .. I'm happy caky is now nice to people :3
Chris Chaos Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 OK, finally got my copy in since I did ghetto shipping. I've been itching to play some people, so now I'm good to go. Please, be gentle... :P ABOUT TIME IT SHOWED UP, LOL! We gotta play today and we've been talking about it for some time now. Hit me up whenever you start playing.
bbq sauce Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Wind Scharl is awesome. Run around being an annoying zoning character, then when they finally get in on you LOLNOPE PUSHBLOCK BITCH GTFO fortunately she's made out of tissue paper so it's not completely bullshit Yes Wind Schar and I have a love/hate relationship. :3 It's all love until I get hit.
SoWL Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Speaking of Wind Charl, how the hell do you beat her with Kira? I understand that beating zoners is eternal weak point of grapplers, but I think that there is some Arcana that can make it easier, I just don't know which one it is. It doesn't help that I use Thunder and most of Charl's moves are unclashable.

It doesn't help that I use Thunder and most of Charl's moves are unclashable. Hit her once. TBH, I'm not familiar with the game enough to give you solid advice now.. I can tell you my strategy against Kira, and maybe you can think of ways around it? If she's on the ground - Poke with chains If she's in the air, I try to get directly under her and 2B, if she's in the air and far, I just jump and j6C/j6B depending on height If she gets close enough to make me block -> pushblock In general: - Keep boomerang on the screen as much as possible - Cancel to wind tunnel if I think she will 6GC mid-range chain - Always keep at the edge of 5C/j6C - Keep the game neutral, never attempt to take offense - If likely she will 6GC the chain, set wind tunnel Edited February 1, 2011 by bbq sauce

bbq sauce Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) That actually sounds good, and the bubbles may help me in approaching her. Chains pop the bubbles though. If she's staying near max 5C range, she shouldn't have a hard time popping them with out much risk.. Edit: water + turtling could help.. If she can't do chip damage, you could sit back and get her to risk something to do damage.. maybe? Edited February 1, 2011 by bbq sauce
CakeWasBannedd Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 anyone vs schar is all about being patient, just wait until you can get in on her and then go nuts.

SkyKing Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 ABOUT TIME IT SHOWED UP, LOL! We gotta play today and we've been talking about it for some time now. Hit me up whenever you start playing. I'm down. I played some matches yesterday, and AH3 system is making a noob out of me. Stupid free homing dashes... I just gotta get used to it I guess.
CakeWasBannedd Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 more like wait until you can get in on her and get pushblocked back out... just use your amazing mixups to fuck her shit up
bbq sauce Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) I play Schar, so, I'm not that concerned, my posts were more for the sake of the guy who asked how to beat wind Schar with Kira. And yes, I agree that the key is to hit her, set up oki and kill her on the next mix up, since she dies in 1 and a half combos. Edited February 1, 2011 by bbq sauce
Effenhoog Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I don't play Kira at all so I'm just making shit up here: Earth arcana: fist and super fist for ranged punishes, stomp super to threaten her at range and in the air, 5E guard point to try to counter chains since they are unclashable. I don't know how much reach Kira's 5E has but i have seen Eko use this strategy with some success Halo arcana: some really good projectiles that home in on the opponent, 214214E super might be able to lock her in place for a moment, plus 623E kick launcher in EF. I don't really know how you would mesh it with Kira but it seems like a decent scharl counter arcana in general Flower arcana: use the flower super to pin her in place and then go in from there. I don't know if wind can just pushblock you away in that circumstance or not so this could be useless keep in mind that wind scharl is probably looking for any opportunity to pushblock you away when you get close, so it might make her more susceptible to command grabs again, I don't know anything, you probably shouldn't listen to me

bbq sauce Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I've only played mirror like 3 times.. Me with wind vs opponent Schar with plant. It feels like the less I do, the more likely I am to win. On the ground, I usually just try to walk forward, walk back and make them wiff 5C and move forward and start my own 5C pressure. If they over use j6C air approach, I try to jump up and j6B from under them.. Don't know much on it other than that.. Wind seems to be less effective for her in mirrors. Especially vs Plant mirror, but, could be wrong here, I haven't played other Schar players enough.

Urichinan Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Okay, I'm having a tough time picking out a main/sub. Could you guys help me figure out who I might work well with based on the play style of my other mains? BB: Litchi, Rachel, Valkenhayn (Soon Platina) GG: I-No, Axl, A.B.A SF: Rose, C. Viper, Juri KoF: Whip, Mai, Yuri MK: Sindel, Kitana, Mileena SC: Seong Mi-Na, Tira, Ivy TK: Julia, Anna, Ganryu F/UC: Caster, Luviagelita, Sakura As you can see I like hard input/strict timing characters. Dorothy and Lieselotte look interesting, but I don't know if they'd be the right fit. Thanks guys!~
bbq sauce Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 we should play sometime, i've never played a good schar before. add me up if you want :3 Heh, I'm not exactly "good", but, I'm down to play. I'm usually on after 8 pm est. Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk

Could you guys help me figure out who I might work well with based on the play style of my other mains? I haven't played the game enough to know who has hard to execute combos but I know that Zenia has a few timing moves, kind of similar to Makoto in BB, where you have to charge the bar up to a certain point then release it.
KagamineLenQ8 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) i bought the game 5 days ago and i am getting used to the homing system in AH3 after playing some games in versus mode i decided to main Kira Daidouhji and Schar. i played over 20 player matches and i got my kira reach level 2 playing with kira as the somehow is as playing with tager Edited February 1, 2011 by KagamineLenQ8
Prototype909 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Dorothy and Lieselotte look interesting, but I don't know if they'd be the right fit. Thanks guys!~ Lieselotte is negative edging, and Dorothy is about traps and gimmicks (Literally). Zenia as aforementioned is about just framing her pile bunker, like Makoto's drive but much more strict. Combos in general are prettly lax, not as lax as BB but pretty easy. Don't expect any super hard assed combos for the most part. Add me on PSN by the way, we should play some time.
