Manta Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 It also doesn't take into account specific matchups. For example, in reload Slayer was very high up the tier class and Potemkin was fairly low down. However, when they played against each other the match was usually in Potemkin's favour.
300bpmshredder Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 · Hidden Hidden Oh how nice someone's secretely deleting my posts. What a cowardly act.
祭典さん Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 What's up with Robo Ky's HS frc? No matter how fast I do it, it never works. I was in pratice for an hour and I only did it like twice.
4r5 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 It's not about doing it fast. It's about doing it at the right time.
祭典さん Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 It's not about doing it fast. It's about doing it at the right time. well when is the right time? I cut on the display info to see when to press it and the thing lights up when I press HS. how can anyone frc that fast?
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 That's one of the easiest FRCs in the game in my oppinion. You just mash it and it usually works.
祭典さん Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 That's one of the easiest FRCs in the game in my oppinion. You just mash it and it usually works. you got great timing then. I think it's one of the hardest. what kind of controller are you using? how fast (or slow) do you usually press it?
Snicker-Snack Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I also think it's one of the easiest FRC's out there, and you don't really need to have great timing for it: The FRC window is quite big (4 frames, I think). It's also quick enough that there isn't much room for error, just press HS and press three any buttons right after it, not much secret to it, really... IIRC, The FRC point starts right as the move connects. It's annoying to do on a pad, though.
Nami-Chan Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 i can do 5HS FRC in pad and in stick :P just press the 3 buttons right after you press HS in pad, press HS, then PKS.
祭典さん Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 this is some certified bull shit. I had to use both hands (on one side of the controller) to get this to work. If I press the buttons any faster any faster I'd be pressing all 4. that's how tight it is. I wish there was a video of someone's hands while there doing this. I dont see how it's possible without button mapping.
Kairi Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 Saiten now thats button mappings at evo go right ahead and do it youself. Theres no point in straining yourself to learn when you could just spend that time working on something else. Besides pad aren't the best for gg and if you have small hands it can be very arkward sometimes so use the shortcut. Of course if you have a arcade with a machine then by all means learn it with 3.
shinquickman Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I dunno why, but I don't find the FRC hard on pad. I just hit HS, then tap on PKH immediately afterwards w/ my thumb.
WonderTonic Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Yea, even on pad I find this easy after awhile. Maybe its because I have a big thumb or something, but pretty much I press and hold HS then roll my thumb over PKS almost as if i was attempting in IK but pressed HS first. If I do multiple HS FRCs in succession, it kinda looks like a fish out of water.
blackstar14 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Uhh I guess you could look at if the board has Reload or Slash changes and if it's on there. I know theres other possible ways but I dunno any of em.
rtl42 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 look at the frame data. which move are you interested in?
ant12292 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 · Hidden Hidden The frame date on Romancancel.com tells how much each move porates. Only problem is they only have the frame data for a few charaters right now.
Manta Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 How do I find out how a move prorates? Training mode + Max guard guage Find a move that you can combo into reasonably easiliy, 5H or something like that. look at the damage you deal. Start a combo with a move you suspect prorates and then follow the combo into that same 5H or whatever. Assuming the guard guage is still positive, that move is still doing raw damage. Compare the damage from both 5Hs.
zer0kage Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 You know I wonder for human players what is the chances of techrecover at the 0th possible frame. I wonder if its a good idea in practics moode to always turn on recovery at the 0th frame other than training you to input faster that is.
blackstar14 Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Uhh, wouldn't that be untechable then? I know it's possible in 1 frame(obviously) but if it was on the 0th frame then there wouldn't even be an opportunity to tech I guess.
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I think he means 'tech out on the exact frame you can, 0F of leniency on your combos'. To answer your question, there is a pretty big buffer on teching out, so it's really not very hard to tech out on the 0th frame. So yeah, practice it perfect.
