I'm a bit rusty. New buttons are hella sensitive. Now that my stick is all fix'ed up I want to get back in to the routine. By the end of the semester, we'll see if I have an awesome Johnny or an awesome GPA.

Nice matches. Coin spoken at video 4 :P Imo that was a very good Johnny. I kept mostly possitive things about his gameplay. He is very good at FRCs, he used very nice setups for throw, did mist traps at every chance and stayed focused at those big combos, i loved DB FRC to jS and the KJT KJ FRCs, i didnt know how much preassure u can put to a character without a soryuken reversal ;p The few things that he lacked was that he was missing many ensegas at combos and he spammed DB/KJ frc at far ranges without reason. The fact it was casual matches makes him a very very good Johnny imo again The best thing there was that friendly environment :P

From the progression from the first vid to the last, it looks like he got a good head on his shoulders. He probably already knows what he's doing wrong and where he needs to improve. Not much for me to say, unless I wanna nitpick on his style. Though I suppose I could.

I just cant understand how he did that combo in vid 18 at 38"... KJT KJ FRC, jS,djS normally u cant jump/air dash after KJT,KJ,FRC so.. ?? :P

He jump-installed. what he did: K(ji)-HS>KJT>KJ(frc), ... or K8HS421SS.... the 8 between the K and HS is the jump-install. you cancel the K to a jump, but then cancel the jump into the next gatling, HS in this example. This tricks the game into thinking you've jumped so that when you FRC the KJT>KJ you are able to double jump or airdash. Where as normal the game doesn't consider you to have jumped otherwise.

I just watched one of the Semi-Final matches from SBO 07’, and I was irritated beyond belief. Does anybody remember when Bleed’s Johnny was taking on Ogawa’s team, and on the second round against the Slayer player? He was bound to win, then OUT OF NOWHERE he gets hit by some crazy Slayer BS that takes like almost all his bar (aka Bleed's Hard Work ). I guess the rule of thumb is to make sure Slayer doesn’t get his tension up by Burst? Even so, I’m seriously thinking about picking up Johnny, his style is very sophisticated and stylish – my kind of character!

Nah, I don't remember and I don't got the videos anymore and searching on youtube just brings up a bunch of boxing matches. Anyone got any links or something? Can I assume that Bleed dropped a combo?

Yes i remember about what u r talking about cause i saw those fights recently. No 4r5 he didnt drop a combo, it was just slayer that slayed him :P and ;/. I was also amazed cause bleed had normal guard bar an he received 80% dmg ><. About picking Johnny i wanted to say that i played some matches vs Raziel (OS) and Zaelock (BA) and i was just dissapointed. I just hope its only me that im playing not good enough and dont know my char good enough than Johnny not being effective. Or i suck vs super attacking playstyles :P .

Come on guys, you make it sound like he lost in one mistake. I just saw the video on nico and all my thoughts from when I first saw it are coming back to me. First round: Bleed was lucky the Slayer guy was botching all his punishes. Lots of mistakes on both sides, but Bleed pulls through. Bleed could of just continued the combo into a MSJH, but I guess he wasn't paying attention to the life bar. The Slayer wasn't paying attention either, probably thought the round was done--gets thrown, Bleed wins round 1. Second round: Decent start by Bleed. He catches the Slayer with a HMF2, then he screws up and misses the FRC. Bleed catches another break, the Slayer could of punished that missed-FRC© much harder. In either case, Bleed loses the momentum. Some punches were thrown, some words were exchanged. Bleed scores a knockdown into OTG Coin dash 2P and dashes. "Cool, make that come back, Bleed!" Slayer techs and double-jumps forward, Bleed wasn't paying attention and continues with his plan: lays down a 3HS. Slayer lands and hits Bleed real hard. "It's alright, you still got this!" Bleed wakes up, Slayer does nothing. Blank stare, Slayer 6P's, Bleed tries jumping out without FD'ing, get's hit, Magic Carpet Ride, Bleed loses. I jump out of my chair and yell, "Why would you jump? There was no reason to jump!" Shazay falls back laughing. Slayer wins round 2, Insult OTG BBU. Third round: Bleed throws into coin. Not wanting to repeat himself, he dashes forward. "Ok, cool. Catch that neutral-tech." Bleed dashes again, I go "Huh?", Slayer neutral-techs and j.D's him in the face. Bleed was expecting a back-tech. Bleed proceeds to get hit really hard. Bleed scores a CH 5K on Slayer's 5K. I guess, surprised by what just happened, he tries to take advantage of the counter-hit by IAD'ing. But he was a tad bit too slow, immediately gets BBU'ed and loses the match. Ogawa's holding a fold-up fan, the camera zooms in on the Slayer player, and I delete the videos. Bleed didn't lose to Slayer-BS™ so much as he lost to his own mistakes. Mainly missing that KJ(frc) in the second round. I still think Bleed’s mistake was the 3HS that got him more than anything, and I’m mainly referring to Slayers Damage as far as insanity goes. Him loosing the third round to me was like…”hey, it happens.” And to be quite honest, I wasn't surprised.
