Yeah, I know about the crouching hitstun for sure. Hitting people while crouching is usually one of my most favorite things to do with Johnny. Maybe someone can test this blocking thing. render definitely knows what he's talking about 99.99% of the time, though. The 00.01% is when he thought Samuel L. Jackson wasn't in Coming to America. For shame, sir. It's like that with Chun-Li in 3S. I think she recovers quicker from her crouching defense than her standing one.

PO's Frame Data.

PO's 6HS, Slidehead & Giganter are all level 5 moves which means the best you can get from IB'ing them is 14 frames. Unfortunately, 14 frames is more than enough for Giganter loop to commence/continue, so you've got to reversal backdash that shit, like Render has previously stated.

Also: Shouldn't this be in the Potemkin matchup thread? :eng101:

Wow. Just wow. From what G-translate has told me I think his name is White...damn. This is the first JO player I've seen to use lvl3 MF for MCing purposes and boy was it effective; he was gatling 5HS for pete's sake!

He's doing MFJH so he can follow up. A3Religion: if you want to mash your way out, at least use something your opponent has to block, like an OD. You should also FD more to get out of pressure. Also, why PMF at random? You could just as easily hold it, confirm where your opponent is and attack him proper or cancel it if your opponent is taking actions against it. Also, in 1 match vs I-no you ate pretty much every overdrive thrown at you... just bait that shit. If I-no dashes at you like some idiot its probably for an OD which you fell for so nicely every time.

First to make a long story short, if you ask anyone that was there I was having a bad day.

Second, I have worked with FDing on both Zidane, and Mynus, and they both have tactics that run around it.

The only thing I would agree on is the fact that I did mash a lot that day, out of frustration which got me killed a lot.

Also I PMF lvl1 a lot for a lot of reasons.

1) It scares the person out of jumping, so I could deal with them on the floor. Cause if you don't know I-no's maneuverability in the air is ridiculous, and it'll be hard as hell to catch him to initiate lockdown again.

2) I AA all my friends so often with PMF that they have come accustomed to it so a lot of times they simply FD it coming down so to basically switch things up so that sometimes I can go about Airthrowing so that I could score an easy Mist Setup.

I have to laugh in my mind when I think that you actually said this but (this is a serious question for you) Do you think that you can actually punish her supers? If you ask Mynus a lot of times I go for SBing his Super so that I could get some kind of chance to retaliate it.

all JH combos are shakable. make sure you don't have the dummy set to max shake.

I try it but it's the same as a regular JH, I can't follow up (unless I RC it of course).

Are you landing the 5hs after the jackhound at all or no? If you arent your timing is just off, if you're landing that and then unable to hit the next 5hs, make sure you're doing it with L3. I'm also assuming you're referring to the chain of jackhounds/heavys against Robo ky.

That can happen to anyone really, its kinda your own thing to deal with that; I'm a total autopilot when I'm tired:P

There is way around FD yeah, but that usually involves not attacking in the first place. And that means you get some room to work with, which allows you to: mash out more easily;) and allows you to jump out or backdash to create more space.

Well, a lot... nearly every hole which is kinda asking for serious trouble, especially since you're playing Johnny.

My question was, why just do it and risk whiff punishment instead of holding it [l1PMF] and only releasing when you actually confirm he's having a go at you?

Its not about you punishing them, its about not being hit in the first place. If you can (or are practicing to) slashback then that's fine, but usually I see some move out there trying to stuff I-no's overdrives. Getting hit by them like the way you were is kinda throwing away your lifebar for no reason at all.

My sparring partners? Some guys that don't post here at all. One plays Eddie, the other plays Dizzy, I kick both their asses, though they are getting better:P

I whiff it because it is extremely hard to punish it. Also it stops a lot of moves on the ground moves, and on the ground offenses.

OK everyone; I finally have the ability to record my matches; one of many to come as a member of my GG group bought a DVD recorder today. Here's my first match with our resident Robo-Ky player.

Please critique if you can. Let me know what I did right (and a lot of what I did wrong as I am sure there are many mistakes) and tell me if I have a solid Johnny or if I am a scrub. Well, hopefully if you're saying the latter you'll be a bit more tactful than that :psyduck: I know I am not the best (as you can tell by my many DL posts asking questions), but it is my hope to get better and become a more formidable Johnny. Anyway, thanks guys. As soon as more of my matches from tonight are uploaded I will post and again ask for constructive criticism. Thanks guys!
