That being said i would like to play casual friday night, i don't know if you want to work something out where maybe you and aaron come down to the hotel im at, or if you have setup space at your place i would be willing to head that way, either way let me know what is up so i can try and not drive out saturday morning totally cold for games.

I came home tonight yet again to find my sewage system fucked (if you don't know, i'm in the middle of a 100k value lawsuit because of my cities incompetence that ruined me and my wife's home)yet again, ruining my basement. Thankfully there is nothing down there now but a washer/dryer and a heater. Despite this horde of bullshit looming over me yet again, im coming to this tournament, just like i did to final round in 2008 less than 20 hours after the whole original ordeal (p.s. that would be the same tournament i showed up too after having nearly everything i owned destroyed, and i still beat the shit out NAS in guilty gear, so if you read this you east coast fuck, don't you dare ever talk shit about me again). If you are a real Gear/BB player and you said you would make it and don't come, you are a fucking liar, a fake, and a joke. I expect you motherfuckers to show up, play games, and get drunk. No goddamn exceptions. This post probably comes off as comical, it's not. I'm 100% serious, my household is once again fucked, and i refuse to let it ruin my week, my life, and my chance to come spend time with the players (check that.. the friends) i want to see. If you bail on this tournament, you are a pussy and a coward, the fucking end. Man up and get there. -TBN
HeartNana Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Travis, I'm sorry to hear that you're getting screwed over yet AGAIN (I think I was in the STL room when you were talking about that in 2008), but I'm really glad you're able to make it. Heck, I made it to that FR in 2008 (which was the weekend of my finals) by doing ALL my final papers in advance, and studying for my last final ALSO in advance. I ended up flying home monday morning and less than 9 hours after being in Atlanta, I was in my classroom taking my final. I managed to get straight A's that semester, too. So for those who make a ton of little excuses, it really shows lack of dedication. Granted, not everyone is as dedicated, but I really don't want people backing out last minute for really dumb reasons.

Having only actually noticed the location change this morning before I got on my flight, I at least was able to cancel the reservation I had previously made online with Holiday. Sorry to hear you're getting screwed over apparently completely arbitrarily. Only issue I have now is that my room at the Wingate has an LCD TV, so I can't play GG on it

I think it would be a good spot for lots of out of towners to get some casuals in. I can bring a TV or 2 to your room and we can get some setups going if its ok with you. It's room 323 at the Wingate; right now, I have 360 BlazBlue set up on the LCD here, although I only have one controller (my stick) and I haven't actually tested it for lag (seems pretty okay from just idly messing around though.) I also have a PS2 with AC+ with one stick, if a CRT can be procured. I'd have more complete setups, but I haven't fully replaced what got stolen a month ago. If you want to hit me up on my cell, my number's 503-593-8803. Edit: And really, you don't have to apologize to me about the change. The fees from the last-minute change of plans weren't too big, and having it at the Wingate means I don't have to walk a mile and a third during the chill of winter to get from the hotel to the tourney.

Traffic isn't too awful out here so im hoping that travel back and forth between here and the wingate wont be a big issues. Bozac i've got my TV and PS2 for gear still so i'll bring it tomorrow. What time are you going to start setting up so i can try and get out early to help out and get extra casual in. I'll prolly be up for casual later tonight, just give me a call or somethin and we'll figure out whats goin on. I've got a bigass plasma tv in this room that i already figured out how to get a ps2 on so i'll see how the lag is on it, i may be able to play some here. See you all soon. Travis, im glad its working out ok so far. just go to the wingate. I dont know of any other casuals going on. STL and NE are coming later tonight at like midnight so they probably wont be playing tonight i will be at the venue at 10 am tomorrow to start setting up. during this time, we can certainly get casuals and money matches going. remember that tournaments start at 12 noon Also, I will be running teams for all games first and then singles after those finish ZeroX, its not too late. Main registration will happen tomorrow morning so just show up before noon
