Krochos Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 its been the same boring game since TTT. Really. I only play it cuz there's no hope for DoA5.
HZMN Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 its been the same boring game since TTT. Really. This man speaks the truth
bjholmes2 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I've found tons of people online. Too bad they all have 1-bar connections.
Zoob Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Anyone around the western MA area want to get some matches in with T6, pm me.
2nd_God Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I Just gotten this game!! Me and my friend, (eastern states area) will be playing later this night!! Add us ok?! psilous_romainus (me) B_O_S_S_8 (friend)
2nd_God Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 "Stop poking meeee!!" lol, Nina 4tw. Now only thing left is to learn how to play @_@
dragontamer Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I don't plan to "Main" this game, but I do want to learn enough of it so that my eyes know what the fuck is going on. I plan to use Marshall Law. First things first: How do you block in this game? >_< I understand that letting go of the control pad automatically blocks, but is there a way to "force" block while the opponent is attacking you? It feels like my hitstun is just "too long" when I'm playing this game... (I'm a total newbie... )
4r5 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 neutral blocking doesn't block everything holding back, or down+back for lows, "forces" a block that will block everything. Try not to accidentally backdash. And don't always trust the animations in this game, some moves don't inflict as much block, or hit, stun as they may look. In fact, there are a fair amount of moves that are frame-disadvantage on hit! Some moves put you in a special hitstun that is escapable by tapping a direction. If I remember correctly, there's some sort of 'fall to knees' stun that you can lessen by tapping forward, and some other one that you lessen by tapping down. (or maybe it's the other way around?) Moves like that are usually far between, they don't come up much. There's also a rolling knockback that you recover by holding back.
dragontamer Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Yeah, I've begun to notice that. Strange Hitboxes (My foot is in your face, you should be dead. I don't care if you're "technically crouching" and its a high attack...) and frame disadvantage on hit makes me wtf. Its definitely a very strange game to me at the moment. I'm sure there is legit pressure strings and all that, but I can't seem to find a complete official frame data on T6. I'm using T5 frame charts at the moment, just to get the idea of things.
scorcherlin Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 There's frame data for Leo here: http://wiki.livedoor.jp/inatekken/d/%a5%ec%a5%aa%b8%c7%cd%ad%b5%bbT6 However it's only T6, not T6BR and I don't think it's complete. I also can't read the moonspeak very well, just enough to decipher the "guard", "hit" columns and stuff, so I can't link to the other characters, sorry! Just click around though, you'll probably find it somehow. Also the notation is weird. I just assumed they're using the numbering system like in Blazblue and LP, RP instead of 1, 2. They might have all the frame data somewhere at TZ; actually I should take a closer look myself...
4r5 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 here's the BR one http://wiki.livedoor.jp/inatekken/d/%a5%ec%a5%aa%b4%f0%cb%dc%b5%bbTBR TZ also has framedata buried somewhere in the spam and other nonsense. They were scanned out of Arcadia, when Arcadia did a partial list. I have the scans from then. Dunno if there are newer scans or not. I think the japanese wiki copies from Arcadia also.
scorcherlin Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Aha! Thank you Though it's still missing data on the stances. At any rate it's better than having to go by T6 data. I've only found bits and pieces on TZ too.
ogre Killer Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Jin combo movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EWjteBPmNU I'll answer any questions one might have about the movie.
scorcherlin Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Oh I saw that when you posted on Gamefaqs Ogre, I didn't comment back then but it was awesome :D I'm seriously thinking of picking up Jin right now. As for questions, I just wanna know WHAT'S UP WITH JIN AND CHRISTIE BEING TOGETHER?
ShinobiBrown Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 here's the BR one http://wiki.livedoor.jp/inatekken/d/%a5%ec%a5%aa%b4%f0%cb%dc%b5%bbTBR TZ also has framedata buried somewhere in the spam and other nonsense. I've been looking for a coherent list of Leo's FD forevar and ended up giving up and just playing the game and finding out the hardway.
Kain Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Jin combo movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EWjteBPmNU I'll answer any questions one might have about the movie. This is pretty good, as I pretty much decided Jin Kazama was going to be my main when I got it for Christmas. So wait, you don't actually have to add in an RP in a juggle combo? (The first juggle combo I did pretty much does that, but I think it does crap damage) And I didn't know 44RP>LP juggled that high. Is there a specific timing to it or just do it as soon as you recover from the first one? (BTW, I find Tekken combo notation confusing, so I just used the notation I'm used to.)

RP isn't a move you would see much of in a juggle combos. 4RP>LP can juggles very high if the first hit is the 1st or 2nd aerial hit. Delaying the 2nd hit can make it juggle a bit higher in this situation.
Urichinan Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Anna Williams & Julia Chang. That's all I'm gonna' say.
farranpoison Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 So, uh... Just picked up this game, and damn it is hard to learn. Anyone still play this? Learning Lili and Alisa... any tips as to what moves are good? Tekken Zaibatsu forums are a little confusing to read through.
Razentsu Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I'm new to this game as well. I've learned the terminology and whatnot as well as a few combos, but that's it. I'm not particularly good at the game. Tekken Zaibatsu should be a lot less confusing once you've got the terms down. For me, Miguel is where it's at. He's ultra cool.
qwerty Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 so how the fuck do you evade in this game i'm not used to this hitbox dependent, no audible cue "don't know if its gonna work or not" evade system and that's what's killing me most right now that and oki
4r5 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Every move, except unsidestepable moves (maybe?), can potentially be stepped. But sidesteps and walks aren't ever guaranteed, due to random variables that I can't see. If you're going to try to step or walk anything you want to try and wait for the move to startup some first. Moves realign axises or something at startup. And you generally want to sidewalk, rather than sidestep. and some chars have baad steps, some times worse in one direction. and sometimes, like stepable sweeps, you have to cancel your step into a crouch or backdash then cancel that into more steps, to step a move. shrug, block more
qwerty Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 oh god this game is so dumb yeah i heard that like fat characters can't evade as fast as everyone else (what the fuck? that'd be like if certain characters in gg had tighter instant block windows than others or something, lol) is there like a table of fatness i can refer to or is it just like everything else in this game in that "it's all hitboxes" thats really what is making me rage at this game more than anything else; fucking hitboxes. why the fuck are big character's jabs jumpkick punishable from half screen away? why the fuck does christie have faster moves than eddy if she can't punish anything because her hitboxes suck? why the fuck am i playing this game aaaaaaaaaa
qwerty Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 also see why tz is so goddamn awful for yourself if you think i'm exaggerating http://www.dustloop.com/data/ac/select.html http://virtuafighter.com/wiki/doku.php?id=vf5:start http://www.shoryuken.com/wiki/index.php/Street_Fighter_IV http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/tekken6/_profile.php not so much as a "by the way, if you're not a faggot and actually play video games, there's combos and framedata here" link at the character select page and it's not like the forums are any better
