mr.mortified Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) @ mr. mortified: buttons (6 x obsf24 + 8 x obsf30) - 26$ material (wood, plexi, artwork, painting) - 35$ pcb - 15$ Total: 76$ With joystick instead of four buttons it gets around 80-85$. I know it is more expensive than that, but it's cheaper to make one big square hole than four circle holes... Yeah, it is possible so you're playing on PS2 (acutally i can get a PS1 pad for dirt cheaper than that...), also your price quotes are saying that you buy them for dirt cheap and i need to figure out where you get your parts from and if they ship to canada. (unless they're from akibashop and you're using the generic method of converting yen to USD and not factoring in the near 15 in shipping costs but that still doens't explain the PCB if you're trying to make it work for ps3...) mine are quoted for eihter ps3 via cthulhu, xbox360 via madcatz 4716 pcb or a dual mod using the two also _Sey, good shit with those clean looking stock sticks :3 Edited November 13, 2010 by mr.mortified
zdravkelja Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I got logitech rumblepad pcb for 15$. Works on PC and PS3. Parts are from http://www.arcadespareparts.com/ I forgot to add, shipping costs were about 6$ or 7$. And it's still cheaper than TE or Hori... Nice sticks Sey
mr.mortified Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) no seimitsu parts? also herpderp its based in HK which would result in killer shipping to canadurr..., i'd rather get parts from akibashop/lizardlick namely people trusted from SRK :3 also no custom PCBs.... SolarMisae Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) @Solar Misae: I've been playing on keyboard since I got into gaming (ok, I had snes, but I got into gaming seriously when I got PC). I don't want to pend time learning to play on a stick since I can do all BB/GG/SF stuff on keyboard perfectly fine and I'm used to it. I can play very good with C.Viper on keyboard, all her tk cancels, feints and combos and you can't get much harder than that Viper on a keyboard...? Oh my, my fingers hurt just thinking about it. xD PS3 HRAP3 http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/SeyCR/DLSticks/HRAP3.jpg http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/SeyCR/DLSticks/HRAP32.jpg Dual modded X360 TE http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/SeyCR/DLSticks/TE.jpg http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/SeyCR/DLSticks/TE2.jpg http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/SeyCR/DLSticks/TE3.jpg Somtimes simplicity is the way to go. Good shit, very clean and sexy looking sticks. I like the Hazama one. :3 no seimitsu parts? also herpderp its based in HK which would result in killer shipping to canadurr..., i'd rather get parts from akibashop/lizardlick namely people trusted from SRK :3 also no custom PCBs.... No seimitsu? D: Oh fail. Seimitsu buttons are my fav~ Lizardlick is still my favorite place for parts. They ship pretty damn fast too...I'm used to waiting forever for shit to get to Hawaii so it's awesome to get stuff 3 days after it's been ordered as opposed to the usual week or two most shit takes. zdravkelja Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 They were the only site which sends parts to Serbia, so it was my only choice. Luckily, it is cheap and I like Sanwa more also Also don't forget about finishing that case. Not much of a fan of keysticks but that case won't look half bad with matte black I didn't see this. Of course I'll finish it and it will be black. And at the time i'm typing this, it is being painted
mr.mortified Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 oh serbia, okay not much of a choice then is there.... well there's always http://www.arcadeshop.de/index.php parts but they are a tad expensive but they're located in europe
Prototype909 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I'm still confused how you would do TKs or even DPs on that...
sakabato24 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 @ Prototype909 : I understand how you feel, and from what I have seen from key players, they do DPs by doing ,,:d:+ ... For me it took me some time to learn it, and even though I still prefer stick or pad over keyboard, it's still pretty easy to do the motions.
darkblade77 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 (edited) F,D,F(faster, or before you let up on D) usually works for DPs on keyboard. In the end it's 4 microswitches just like an arcade stick is; just have to get used to manipulating it without a diagonal shortcut. Edited November 15, 2010 by darkblade77 added alt.method
zdravkelja Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 DPs - - The trick is to do and while holding press so it would read it as TKs - like you would do , just add at the end. should be pressed before releasing so it would read it as Also, I'm changing fingers while I play. When I'm doing TK to the right I'm pressing with the middle finger, with the index and with ring finger. When I'm doing TK to the left I'm moving index finger to the , pressing with the ring finger and pressing with the middle finger. Very simple technique and very effective. And that's why (if you noticed) the button is not in the center, above . It is slightly moved to the left to make it easier to change fingers. Just like W is slightly moved to the left above S on keyboard.
sakabato24 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Finally got it painted white. Looks good. :D
Prototype909 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Get that ho Chihaya off your stick and put Makoto on it and you'd be set.
mr.mortified Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 good stuff there sakabato~ dammit i have to do these sticks...... been lazy with one case and still gonna do a widebody case for later... I'll prly have that by spring...
SolarMisae Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 It's not a stick, but they'll probably be on a couple of TE's soon enough. Have some PSG TE designs I did today for fun. I think they need way moar sparkelz and girlyness. My eyes aren't burning enough.
Yggjrasil Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 man...words not enough to explain how awesome these stick templates are. I'm loving the Panty one so much.
RaveSage Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Ohh, that looks really- Where are my eyes?
LunarSelenia Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 (edited) So Solar, I guess it's kinda obvious what our next stick art is going to be...I still think it needs moar glitterz Edited November 19, 2010 by LunarSelenia
SolarMisae Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 So Solar, I guess it's kinda obvious what our next stick art is going to be...I still think it needs moar glitterz Hai Luna, whuts up? Also...I KNEW IT. I knew I should have put more sparklezz pink and moe everywhere. Glad everyone likes the templates. I'll probably post up the full resolution files of them if anyone else wants to use them.
Yggjrasil Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 huh, now all we need is Scanty & Kneesocks and the templates will be complete.
