Cryingvoid Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Oh... I actually saw this numbers on the first page, but considered 'this must be a mistake' since the number (of taunts) was too small. Now I see, there was no mistake, just 6A does its hitstun scaling work 'well' -____- However, the good news for me are that since it is 6 taunts from 5b 6a, I already actually DO 5B TL combo! And what about corner oki variant? (Taunt Loop -> 214D -> j.2D~C -> ... -> j.D~A -> Taunt -> 214D -> j.236Bx5)? Since it is written '-1 taunt', I assume it is 5 taunts off 5B (+ one taunt in the ender itself)? PS: today online I clearly felt the influence of the lag: when you do your casual jump cancel in 5b 6a JC 2d~b, you find yourself jumping actually till the top of the screen lol. However, it might be okay with 4-type connection (I tested 2-type). PPS: thanks everyone one more time! Should get other starters trained as well.
Low Diver Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 >trying to do tao combos in cs online >being the slightest surprised when you drop it >my face when lol welcome to online

Should get other starters trained as well. >trying to do tao combos in cs online >being the slightest surprised when you drop it >my face when lol welcome to online I admit, tauntloops online are not fun, but they are actually suprisingly easy if you know the TIMING of EACH LAG LEVEL (eg. lvl. 0-4) Generally I just never use tao and just mash lambda or ragna at 0. But if its at LEAST 1, taunt loops online are complete possible. Last night i got of a 12 taunt combo into lol rapid cancel airthrow loop, and got like 8130 damage (Albiet one of the loops of the 12 blue beated and he didn't purple throw tech in time).. and three taunt combo's are pretty much undroppable for me once they are started. You have to grind the CRAP out of the taunt loop motion. You seriously do. Remember, there is input lag, but there is no timing lag (Unless there is a LAG SPIKE FUCK I HATE LAG SPIKES IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TAUNTLOOP 3:< ). Therefore, the best way to know if you can tauntloop online, is to tauntloop consistently with your eyes closed. If you can get to this point, this means you need no visual cue, and you can do it online because you CAN'T USE the visual cue online. Its lagged. TAUNTLOOP GRINDFEST GO :3
Low Diver Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 >blue beats and purple throws also as for doing taunt loops online, ya you can do them if it doesn't lag spike on you and if you have gotten used to the current lag in the room and if you don't mind possibly messing up your offline timing then yes you can do them but again that's if it doesn't lag spike on you, and not lagging in cs, hahah online is a joke no caps ftw
lurch_E_bean Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Therefore, the best way to know if you can tauntloop online, is to tauntloop consistently with your eyes closed. I want a vid of you doing blindfolded taunt loops on the BBVlog, Rin. Yeah, CS online is horrid, I'm amazed if I can land some taunt loops online. Then again, I'm amazed if I can land taunt loops offline, but not as much...
Warahk Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Yes, 6B > 5B links on a crouching opponent anywhere on the stage against anyone who has 6B > 5B come after their name on that list. If you can't get it to work against a certain person I can recheck it to make sure it's possible. Also I think they changed who 6B > 5B can link on in the 1.01 patch, so if you don't have it then that could cause some problems for those combos. yup i never go online, and i didn't know there was a patch, thanks edit: if hazama neutral crouches you cannot combo off 6b lol. he must be crouch blocking. noel is similar in that if she is neutral crouching 5b will only randomly link from 6b, if she is crouch blocking however it will link every time.
Cryingvoid Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 lololo, How to learn and master taunt loop: 1) Taunt Loop with sound off to get the right input rhythm; 2) Taunt Loop with sound on to get the right ingame feel; 3) Taunt Loop with video off to get the subconscious instinct. Wish they added the input lag imitation mode to the game) But wait, I use Phillips flat HDTV, it has a bunch of different video improvers, that I turn off while playing fighting games. So turning them on might imitate input lag :3
Mystic d Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 taunt looping in 1 bar connection is definitely doable consistently. taunt looping with 0 bars... good luck. i've never gotten over a 2 bar connection yet (since i'm from hawaii and no one plays this game here) and i can pull off taunt loops pretty consistently online. only thing i have trouble with is 2C and 3C turn into 22C about 50% of the time and it pisses me off. 6B -> 5B -> 22C -> ->
Mystic d Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 so here's a combo for trolling, running down the clock, or simply lulz Taokaka 100 Hit Combo! 5B -> 6A -> JC -> j.2D~B -> TL (until 15) -> T -> 214214C -> T -> 214214C -> 5C [3750] edit: note: 100 heat required second edit: if you start with 80 heat, you will have enough for the full combo
RinHara5aki Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 uhhhh you can taunt loop 15 times off of 5b 6a wat I want a vid of you doing blindfolded taunt loops on the BBVlog, Rin. Yeah, CS online is horrid, I'm amazed if I can land some taunt loops online. Then again, I'm amazed if I can land taunt loops offline, but not as much... I'm actually thinking about doing that as a joke video now xDDD Don't worry, just keep grinding the motion

kataridragon Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Ive done taunt loops with my eyes closed, however I usually start it off by looking so I can get the first hit correctly then I close my eyes. I dont completly trust myself though since I use the combo counter to determin when I should end the loop. Its not like I practice with my eyes closed though.
Mystic d Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 so i looked through the first post for this, but didn't see my answer. sorry if this has been answered already, but what is the best combo off of 2A?
Warahk Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 so i looked through the first post for this, but didn't see my answer. sorry if this has been answered already, but what is the best combo off of 2A? well, im sure there is something better but i do: 2A > 5B > 6A (one hit) > JC > j.2D~B > 5C > 2D~6 > j.C > j.9D~9 > j.3D~3 > 236BBBBB and i dont remember how much it does, but i think its like 2.3k or something
CakeWasBannedd Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 so i looked through the first post for this, but didn't see my answer. sorry if this has been answered already, but what is the best combo off of 2A? Most Japanese Tao's do 2A>3C and then whatever will get them oki. Much better to go for oki off of 2a rather than damage, since it's 2A and you're probably not going to get amazing damage no matter what you do.

Cryingvoid Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 To go for oki means to go for maximally low CAT2 ender? ___ Hmm... Off which starter does the damage count in 'TL recommended enders' section comes from? Or is it literally with starter OFF?
Taokakaism Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I've not been able to do it at all since I last posted.... For some reason, my final Cat2x5 missed by a tinyyyy bit. I am in shame
RinHara5aki Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 To go for oki means to go for maximally low CAT2 ender? No, to go for oki, for this exact procedure I have the perfect example (2a -> 3c) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QhkQDJ6z9s#t=00m19s Instead of garbage damage, he went for oki and slammed this shit out of rachel for a poor back-tech. I've not been able to do it at all since I last posted.... For some reason, my final Cat2x5 missed by a tinyyyy bit. I am in shame You got to a Cat2 loop x4 even?!? How? OAO
Taokakaism Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Nono, I meant my alternate way of doing the 8k+++ combo ender
KM Riku Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I've not been able to do it at all since I last posted.... For some reason, my final Cat2x5 missed by a tinyyyy bit. I am in shame I tried to do that using 3c->AB2->6c->236a->j.4d~6...but I always miss the final Cat2x5 too...it seems like you get too high to do it right
Cryingvoid Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 KM Riku What is the point of 3c? kakaism introduced "a complete 6C taunt loop -> Almost Becoming Two! -> 236A -> 4D~6 -> Cat2x5 -> Cat2x5 -> Cat2x5", as far as I remember. BTW, it was mentioned earlier, and I've recently come to check it: 2C FC-> 6C-> 214D-> j.2D~b-> TL version allows you to do up to 12 repetitions (meaning that original 2C FC-> 6C-> TL allows you up to 13 reps, - the loss is not that significant).
KM Riku Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 KM Riku What is the point of 3c? kakaism introduced "a complete 6C taunt loop -> Almost Becoming Two! -> 236A -> 4D~6 -> Cat2x5 -> Cat2x5 -> Cat2x5", as far as I remember. It's because you can do the other AB2 ender using others setups like 2a->2a->3c in coner for ~4,5k or air grab->taunt for ~6,5k, so I'm testing 2a->2a->3c in coner using Taokakaism AB2 ender.
Cryingvoid Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Can 2a starter bring 4.5k? Is it really worth the Tension gauge? Better try out casual 5B 6A start up, I wonder, how much will the AB2 enforced version of 5B 6A do?
