Heeey guuuys 8D I had an amazinngg time playing tonight! Much loves and GGs to all the guys that showed up :D <3 I had a super fun blast and hope to go back and have more fun games with you all! Hopefully tomorrow i'll be at FFA! I'll repost again or edit this tomorrow if i'm going!

edit: Wouldn't make it to the GG tourny :< It's about a 3 hour drive for me to go up to FFA and my family got lazy so i wouldn't make it for anything really, soooob. Hopefully next time around i shall go and try to make more trips to AI as well. Sorry you guys and hope you all have fun over there :]

LOL, not really a planned trip-- mainly going to San Diego to visit a family member, since Ky-Sama & I randomly got the same days off at work. I wish we could hang out and/or play all day, but hopefully sometime (soon) in the future <3 However, if we DO go (to FFA, I suppose? LOL), then it will probably be on Tuesday (tomorrow) night or Wednesday afternoon (we need to leave for AZ AT LEAST an hour before nightfall, because the drive is scary).

Sorry, we would just hate to announce anything/ask people to go mainly to play us, because we are not good/important, LOL (and that arcade layout is kind of suicide for me/us, LOL). Also, it would be great to play the better players as well -- playing great players is one the best ways to gain the experienece to improve^_^

Oh, and I just realized, what do you mean about the arcade layout is suicide? If you play on controller, you'll be happy to know that the FFA machines have a port where you can plug in and a use a PS2 controller.

Seems like everyone is from the LA area =( . Hard to meet up with people for matches. If anyone is close to OC, I'm trying to grow the scene out here. We session almost every day. It'd be great if we can get a big enough scene to do tourneys.

I liked the casuals Mike Z did before he closed off his operations, lol. That's pretty much what I'm trying to emulate as far as casual sessions go. If anyone's interested, please let me know. I created a thread (titled UCI) so you can post there.

Well, yeah, that button layout is suicide. You see, we changed our key conifig to that of FFA/AI last night in AC, and we ended up looking like complete beginners... (kept hitting the wrong buttons, etc). We play on stick, but we're only used to the default button config in GG--

This may be a stupid question, but is there any way to change the button config once you hook up your controller/stick? Just wondering! <3

Hmm. I'm not sure if you can change the key config if you put a controller in. I think it just goes to the default of... you know, P as the square button, K as X, S as triangle, HS as circle, and Dust as R1. Though, if you had a stick with a PS2 hookup, and plugged that into the controller port... would that also make it default to the same way you two play already? No idea! But it would be a fun experiment.

But yeah, I remember when I first learned GG at an arcade too. I mean, Kick on the top? What's up with that! Axl does not like mixing up Punch and Kick. And it made his counters weird too. The bottom button is for the high counter, and the top button is for the low counter. But oh well, I'm used to it now.

Also, I'd just like to emphasize again, tonight would be an awesome time for coming down. Why, it's a beautiful day here. The birds are singing, and the streets are filled with laughter. I even heard they were giving away free ice cream and puppies. It's totally the best time to come.

MAN don't give me that! :<! Both of you should know better than that by now that we're friends PFT. Wouldn't be a friend if i didn't block out a day to just see you. Just give me the day you guys are most likely gonna go and a good time frame. Since it sounds like you'll be going to FFA, def need a good heads up to arrange a ride for myself!

^^ This is right. For the cabinets at FFA: P = Square; K = X; S = Triangle; HS = O; D = R1. That's how it is even if you plug in your own PS2 joystick. And, like Severin said, if you want to use your joystick but don't like that setup, you'll have to open your joystick and rewire the inputs to how you like it. The controls are changeable in the system menu, but it's not practical to go into there to change the button layout.
