Mr.Biscuits Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 u should ask omniscythe for makoto input He's good?
FlyingVe Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 He's good? He's pretty darned good, He plays up in NY.
St1ckBuG Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 There's a balance between the # of people you let work on this, and getting good results without too much 'conflict' in opinion. A lot of the stuff you guys have said has been changed though. A lot of the Lambda match-ups. Spirit changed some Ragna stuff (dat WC bias). Jin changes are hopefully on the way. Tager changes are hopefully on the way. Makoto changes are hopefully on the way. Edit: Biscuits, I thought you were in the room when they were filling this in? O well, guess not.
worldjem7 Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Stickbug, if you're serious on updating the chart, you should give me the numbers, or let me in on the discussion (not necessarily take my input) so I can update the chart on my end. You guys should also keep a record of your reasoning behind character match-ups in a similar way Spirit Juice did for the older version.
seyu Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 He's good? hes not just good, hes awesome! maybe check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNmGJEpv_hM hopefully he agrees
Mr.Biscuits Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I know who he is and all. He came to our last Bi weekly I just wasn't impressed. Maybe he's better at the comfort of his own home? LOL, Alan....
Spirit Juice Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Spirit changed some Ragna stuff (dat WC bias). Nigga dat WC logic vs dat EC bias get at me.
FlyingVe Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I would be willing to offer Mu insights, but I don't think I'd add anything that your guy wouldn't. I think Tager 3.5-6.5, and Haz is only 6-4, but those are nitpicks.
LunaKage Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I would offer my insight on Noel, but like you said, you have no idea who I am, nor have I won any tournaments, so I have no notoriety, unless you ask Danny Schme about me, he might give me some props, other than that, nothing, so enjoy filling in the gaps.
Sophisticat Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Personally, I'm pretty happy with Haku's match numbers in the chart. Yeah, I'm a nobody, but I can at least say I agree with most of them. I'd just change Makoto to 7-3 and I'd be cool with it. I would like to know the justification behind Lamb, Mu, and Ara being 6-4, though. In brief, I think those are 5-5 even matches since these character's ability to zone Haku counterbalance his range and void.
skd Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 The level of netplay stupidity just rose in this thread. inb4smoosh im sorry DC but black people cant play noel. Theres obviously a reason danny was chosen, he has that anime swag.
Heroic_Legacy Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 fraaaaaaayyyyyyyyy Yeah that's about right for Noel players in America. Sorry bud.
Danny Schme Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Yeah that's about right for Noel players in America. Sorry bud. I made no claim otherwise my man haha. @Alan - I don't feel that I have played with people at a high enough level on a regular basis to comment on the matchup chart. Nor do I feel like I'm at the level of some of the people you've used to make the chart up to this point. I do appreciate you possibly taking my thoughts into consideration for it, though.
Heroic_Legacy Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I seriously feel 0 threat from Noel offline regardless of who is going to be playing. She has pretty much nothing that makes me go 'Avoid getting hit by this move'

XDest Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I would like to contribute for Taokaka, but my opinions would most likely only be +/- 0.5 from TaoFTW's opinions.
St1ckBuG Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 So, we've done some more work on the chart. Got some Tager input and working on Noel and Jin. I'm not going to touch Makoto anymore because it just seems like a constant back and forth with her. As of right now I think it's immpossible to get all of her match-ups into that magical +/- .5 window, while at the same time making almost e everyone happy. Hopefully we'll have an updated chart within the next few days.

St1ckBuG Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I didn't change Makoto much because the suggested changes were only .5 off... and with the Tager input (against Makoto) I realized that no one is going to agree on what the final match-up should be. I've got two completely different sets of numbers from people, so I decided to 'split the difference' and leave it at that. People won't like it, but this chart isn't here to please. In all honesty I think it's still too soon to even put her up on the chart since she's only been out for two months. With that being said, I don't think people should look at her numbers that seriously since no matter who they're from, they won't hold much merit because she hasn't been around long enough. No, 2 months isn't long enough... I don't care how many matches you've had on netplay or how good you are on your block. Anyone can talk about the chart because I know some numbers are wrong (read the disclaimer next time people). I'm not some almighty god like SpiritJake who will strike you down with his modly wrath for dissing West Coast.
DC Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 netplayyyyyyyyy If netplay makes people that bad then I must be the second coming of Jesus Christ offline. stickbug: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?7953-Noel-Guide-for-CS&p=779954&viewfull=1#post779954 but w/e
