Arvoyea Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 How do I do this stuff you all keep talking about I'm getting confused with, I can only do basic stuff.
Ichipoo Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 What's this? People replying in this thread? Ad hoc anybody tomorrow anybody?
Blade Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 How do I do this stuff you all keep talking about I'm getting confused with, I can only do basic stuff. Movelist is at GameFAQs. I suggest picking 2nd option in main menu, pick a character you wanna learn, set it to Team A, press R to scroll over to the next one and pick a dummy with possibly high HP (like Strike Freedom or something), set the A.I. to stop and set the team to Team B, then scroll over to the other two brackets and set them as empty (no other team members). Press Start after that, you'll get a menu that lets you pick stages, pick music, etc, press Square to access the battle rules, set Timer to Infinity, Boost to Infinity (until you get used to boosting, then set it to 100%), and Cost for both sides to Infinity...basically max out all the bars...then hit start and get to practicing. I suggest practicing maneuvering and targeting first, having multiple non-moving targets helps you a bit. Then you can work on combos and shooting while moving.
qwerty Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Boost to Infinity (until you get used to boosting, then set it to 100%) this i disagree with. you need to know how to manage your boost from the get go, otherwise it's going to be very hard to adjust; the single most important aspect of this game is managing boost, and it's something you are going to have to learn whether you like it or not. better to learn it immediately and not have to adjust than to be constantly running out of boost and landing in a bad spot. everything else you said was more or less correct, but this is just wrong. alternatively, i think the best way to learn this game single player is to play H route (the random one) on one credit and keep doing so until you can clear it.
qwerty Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 oh, and before i forget, someone knowledgeable tell me why gp03 isn't like A tier. it seems to me its only real flaw is that it has to reload for 6 seconds.
xlolxlolx Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 missile travels really slow and pretty bad tracking on it, boost gauge is kinda average, not sure about its melee, its a good unit for sure because it can nuke a good amount of the field with the grenades and can escape easily with the jump grenade so it can stay alive longer for the most part
Blade Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 H Route is annoying as hell on the Final Stage, my allies keep getting killed and taking a bite out of my cost. D:
qwerty Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 missile travels really slow and pretty bad tracking on it, boost gauge is kinda average, not sure about its melee, its a good unit for sure because it can nuke a good amount of the field with the grenades and can escape easily with the jump grenade so it can stay alive longer for the most part makes sense i guess. anyone with access to exvs who could tell me how tallgeese iii differs from tallgeese in next? that would be super sick.
xlolxlolx Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 scooter told me that its basically combined with epyon, it has a much large boost gauge, 2.5k unit, and the csa side flip distance looks like it got doubled oh and DX got infinitely better because his twin satellite cannons auto charge now
Arvoyea Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Fuck, my PSP seems like it's bricked... Also, is the F91 a good mobile suit?
xlolxlolx Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 f91 is so-so, main plus side for it is the starting ammo since you have 2 wep sets and it has decent boost gauge and speed, but the wep sets recharge individually meaning you have to be using that wep set to recharge ammo and it's buff is rapid fire.....so it really comes down to how well you manage your ammo
brett_ Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hey theres a thread for this? Awesome. Someone should make an Extreme VS thread by the way, unless there's been one already. I'm still a scrub at this game but since I moved to Japan I've been grinding pretty hard (300+ games). Spend most of my days farming GP >_>. hoping to get the american community in norcal hype when it comes out on console. If anyone else is in Japan say hi :p @xlolxlolx: Are you PNW? I actually mashed some games out with scooter when I visited him @Arvoyea: Get ready for exvs on console, I'm forcefeeding this game to norcal.
xlolxlolx Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 im in norcal, really hyped for exvs ps3 release
