I'll start it off with Jotoru...(PS2 Ver.) Legend -A (Any Button) -L (Light Hit) -H (Hevy Hit) -F (Ferice Hit) -S (Stand) -T (All three Bottons at the same time, Set as one Botton) - Normal Mode (When your stand if OFF) - Stand Mode (When your stand is ON) - Tandem Attack (QCB + S, hold S, input commands. Uses 1 level of your super meter) ============================================================================================= Ora-Ora 236 + A Normal Mode: Star Platinum comes out and does a flurry of rushing punches. Excellent for making suprise attacks and pressuring. Good air counter also. L makes Star Platinum do it without moving, H makes him move a little. F makes him move even further but more delay. Stand Mode: Pretty much the same as in Normal Mode, but Jotaro follows Star Platinum as he pummels the opponent. Press A repeatedly for more hits. Mach-Ora 214 + A Normal Mode: Star Platinum comes out like lightning and delivers a heavy punch to the opponent. Distance is determined on the level of attack used. The thing that makes it better in Normal Mode than Stand Mode is that if you miss you won't be left open considering you'd want to do it from a distance. Stand Mode: Jotaro and Star Platinum both fly at the opponent and deliver a smashing blow. Follow up with another 241 + A for a 2 hit combo! Again, distance is determined by the level of attack used. Beware, there is a lot of lag time after the move so if you miss, you're pretty open for attack. Star Finger 623 + A (hold A, release A to attack) Normal Mode: Star Platinum sticks something out of his arm and pulls his opponent in. Works even if your opponent blocks. Stand Mode: Same as Normal Mode. Thousand No Ora-Ora 236 + T Normal Mode: The same as Ora-Ora, but Star Platinum rushes out for an even longer duration of time. Meanwhile, Jotaro can follow Star Platinum and pressure the opponent from behind. Gives more hits than the Stand mode. Stand Mode: Jotaro walks with Star Platinum for a flurry of punches. Star Breaker 214 + T (hold T, release T to attack) Normal Mode: Similar to Mach-Ora, Star Platinum comes out of nowhere and takes a BIG swipe at his opponent. Does massive damage but has lag time. Stand Mode: Same as Normal Mode, but Jotaro rushes in with Star Platinum. Don't do this if you know you're gonna miss or get blocked because you're in for some severe punishment. "THE WORLD" 6,H,L,6,S (Level 3 and above) Freezes your opponent and alows you to do whatever. !!!INFINITE SUPERS!!! The more levels, the longer the opponent is frozen. ...Broken... as far as combos... they are hard to time and its pretty much two hits then super or Ora-Ora

Oh yeah, and stop the world isn't broken. You can't do shit for damage with it and it takes like 1298390138218319392380 frames of start up. Dio can do damage with it, but like... hes broken :blue:

A lot of characters are broken imo. My favorite is Hol Horse and his unblockable super that you can connect in itself. Best Okizeme ever.

Hol Horse is far from broken. I'm 99% sure you can just roll on wakeup to not get hit by an unblockable like that. The only character who is broken is Pet Shop... he's beyond god tier in terms of ranking (I'm pretty sure he's soft banned though). Kakyoin is S-Tier, next best in the game. His B&B hits 50-60 times for half your life. With a slightly more difficult setup, it does over 100 hits and kills you from full life. Dio/Shadow Dio/Jotaro are not broken, they're pretty average overall. The World has uses, apparently. There's a glitch where if you kill someone in the first round while time is stopped, you can hit setup them to get hit while the second round is starting.... their life bar doesn't fill up and they die in 1 hit. Not really broken, just silly as shit. Also, you really don't need to list the basic moves list elaborately... gamefaqs is there for a reason, and we don't have character specific threads. Just a short version would work. Random Joseph combos I know... yes keep in mind the , means a link, not gattling. 'shj' is short jump, 'sshj' would be super short jump. 'wc' is Wiff Cancel, meaning you can wiff the hit and still cancel it (many normals can cancel into specials even if they wiff, it's like MvC2). 'qc' is quick cancel. Roll from S to another move to bring out your stand and do a move instantly. 'jf' is a just frame... you have exactly 1 frame to hit this link on. These are based on the PSX version, but they all should work on the DC version as well. He has some additional cancels and links he can do in that version though that I don't have listed. I think his dash combos also can get more hits, don't know though. I only have the PSX version. There are a lot more advanced combos I don't really have a grasp on yet. (Normal) L, M 236L 2L, 2L, M 236L L, 3M, 623L (Wallbounce) L, 3M 214S > (Dash Combo) 3H wc.236A 663A 236A+A shj.M |> 3M 214S > (Dash Combo) (Stand) L L M H L wc.3[C] (What the hell is this for?) shj.H |> H 236L, 4A, M.c, 236A+A shj.H |> H 236L, 4A, L M H 214S > (Dash Combo) (Dash Combos) > 2H, 2H, 2H, 2H 236L > 2H, 2H, L L M 236L, 4A, L, M 236L > 2H, 2H, L L M 236L, 4A, jf.L M H 214S > (Dash Combo) > 2H, 2H, L L M 236L, 4A, qc.L M H 214S > (Dash Combo)

IIRC, Shadow Dio has an inf thats just retarded.

Also, didn't know about stop the world glitch, is that even tourny legal?

I would assume so. You have to actually let them get off The World first, and there are probably ways to safe guard yourself to it (same with The World from IaMP).

Against Shadow Dio, double jump and get as high as you can just as the time stop hits you. He doesn't have many guaranteed damage options if you do that, especially not if he has only a few meters.

Shadow Dio can just keep using standing/jumping Heavy for the win(And to back up any wrong move with the stand attack.) The World setup for him will be to throw, then input. Of course, for highest damage ratio, during The World, keep mashing standing/jumping Heavy. Gwyrgyn Blood: You ought to tell me all those great combos you know of about this game, namely Kakyoin and others. Since I have my PSX cd with me, I might as well try them out. "Souste toki wa ugoki da...."(NOTE: Not 100% accurate with the romanji)

i'm sorry don't know if i should request here but can anybody up the first jo jo's meikyousisui vid? i accidentally earased mine.

The Kakyoin combos I've seen are for the DC version. Essentially they all boil down to the same thing... which is a short gattling string into a Tandem Attack. They buffer a shit ton of hits (probablly drumming L>M>H really fast) and then jump over the person and mash on L until it runs out. They can then end it with the Emerald Shot super for a bunch of extra hits. The REALLY retarded version is that you need to have it so a net hits them as you are doing the Tandem Attack setup. What happens then is they are stuck extra long, and you can buffer almost twice as many iterations of whatever strings he does. Ends basically the same way... with so many hits, they just run out of life even taking only 1 damage. The problem with the PSX version is the super flash for the Tandem attack is much, much shorter. You could almost say the PSX version is considerably less retarded.

I actually have no idea. Everyone plays the DC/Arcade version though. The DC version does have much better graphics/sound quality though. MUCH better. Might be some stuff hidiously broken in the PSX version too, that we don't know about. I'd ask Charles but he'd just complain that it isn't what the Japanese play, or whatever.

At first, I thought PSX version is only inferior to DC version in the number of voices in the story board. Not only that, the arcade mode in PSX version contains only the first and last storyboard(No storyboards in between). I did recall Jotaro is able to do Super Blazing Fist airborne in arcade version and Shadow Dio having a Star Breaker super, but I might just got blurred eyes back then.

After testing some combo found in gamefaqs: Seriously, Petshop needs only 2 supers to kill an opponent in the corner with full life? Call that broken or what. :bad:

For whoever who wants to read Jojo.

Differences between the PSX version and DC/arcade: PSX is missing voices, animation, extra supers and properties for multiple characters, and just looks like blah. The majority of the characters are in their first form, aka the first Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and not their Heritage for the Future versions, also.
