freelander Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Hi guys I want to purchase an arcade stick. But I can't afford the American custom stick makers because of the enormous costs and I couldn't find anyone in Europe who makes sticks. So I want to buy 1 or rather 2 Mayflash sticks(cause it's so cheap) from play-asia, get used to sticks and later mod the masflash with better parts. Is this a good plan? How difficult is changing parts in sticks? I think changing the buttons shouldn't be too hard but the stick change ... What tools do you need to mod the stick? thx in advance
thegame4ever Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-m-49-en-70-2byy.html a reviewer says it's quite simple to mod, just wiring a stick is tricky. Go for it!
freelander Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 some guy posted here that sanwa joysticks don`t fit into the hole on the mayflash box.. fuck
quartercirclebk Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Hahano just finished my custom stick! I should have it in a few days. The art is kind of off near the bottom, I must have screwed up the measurements or something, but it still looks pretty good. What do you guys think? http://picasaweb.google.com/Hahano9/QuarterCircleBak
Nehle Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Quick reminder to clean you sticks every once in a while. I thought mine had broken down on me yesterday after two directions started responding very badly, but after I cleaned the microswitches it worked better than it has for the last few months.

Koozebanian Fazoob Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 That is bizarre as hell. Very cool. As far as the Mayflash goes, you could probably just drill some holes in the top and mount it with bolts on the top. I haven't even seen the inside of one though so I don't really know the specifics of it. You might need a different mounting plate for the Sanwa to do so.

ajinkris Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Just did mine. Nothing fancy. Added Seimitsu clear buttons, a Seimitsu square-gate stick, and Seimitsu bubble ball-top then vinyled the bitch. The base is a HRAP. http://trashpile.net/upload/sticktop.jpg http://trashpile.net/upload/stickside.jpg
R.D.K Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 How do I fix the wires on my HRAP at the base of the joystick or can I send it off somewhere to be fixed? Also How do I put pictues on my stick like your's MCR?
zewe-aniki Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Hey! this may have allready been asked, but how do you put those pictures/art/wallpapers on your sticks? Can you put em on non-custom sticks?
Chomite Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 ^ It depends what kind of stick you have. It's bitch to do all the works by yourself so you generally ask custom stick makers to cut plexi or that see-through plastic for you and you print out the artwork. Then take apart your stick(remove buttons, sticks, top coating or original stick art etc...) and put your artwork and plexi on the top, hold it down with just stick and buttons or screws...Voila. ^ But trust me, unless you know what you are doing, I won't try to do this.
ril213 Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Hey guys as I'm planning to get the hori real arcade pro stick orange for ps2 (bout time I picked up stick) what are great ps2/ps3 converters you recommend, as I want to be able to play games like SC, SF4 and BB with it. I got the dragonplus from play-asia, it's a lagless converter, does the trick.

Chuchulachu Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Is the stick on Wii a good stick for fresh starters? I've never played stick before and don't wanna waste time learning on an invalid stick.
Mayftw Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Is the stick on Wii a good stick for fresh starters? I've never played stick before and don't wanna waste time learning on an invalid stick. Wii stick is NOT, I repeat 'NOT', Guilty Gear friendly. You're better off getting a T5 stick :/
Chuchulachu Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Wii stick is NOT, I repeat 'NOT', Guilty Gear friendly. You're better off getting a T5 stick :/ Alrighty thanks much, guess I'll start in that direction then before i actually get into custom sticks
DOAIsBetter Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 What is so bad about the Wii stick? Just wondering cuz they look just like the 360 Fighting Sticks and those are just fine. Don't get me wrong I use my HRAPs over the fighting stick but the 360 version atleast is a great stick to start with. Also if your playing GG on Wii you really don't have much of an option. I know a GC converter exsists but if all your using it for is Wii I just dont see the point.
Chuchulachu Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 k so i seen the hori orange, question is do I need a converter or something to play it on a US PS2?
Shazay Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 Where did you get your Flash? Been looking for one for ages... Chaz got one FOREVER ago. I don't remember ever seeing him play without one. Click me! Hrap 2 SA for $99. Sale ends Sunday night. Seems like a good deal so I make post
