I small kine did not want to do tests, it makes us more aware of the recording and then it takes longer for us to "settle in" to play, considering you and I haven't had any matches for awhile (*cough* more like a couple of hours...)

And just steal your avatar from PZA and edit it?

I actually have some more matches on my computer, they're not that great compared to what we posted imo (we were both kinda out of it) but I'll bug Solar for some more matches to record later. I might upload them just to have them, will make some good material to look back on and compare in the future.

Sorry I don't play Mu anymore and I post in your guys's GD, but I've heard LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of Mu info from Solar for the past year, I've always switched mains every 4 months or so (I finally settled), but I've been dealing with the Mu matchup with various characters for awhile XD

GGs Dom! Those were some fun matches. I guess careful aggressiveness is the way to go against Tao. Gdlk avatar btw.

GGs and Shoutouts to C0R, Dusty, and the rest of the PNW crew. Those were some fun matches and nice discussion about the current state of the game.

That Mu technology was pretty gdlk. I need to stop being lazy and really hit up the lab for my Mu. Just when I think I know a few things about her, a bunch of other stuff comes up and I realize there's still so much to learn. But who'd have it any other way with this character, right?

Regarding the CS2+ rebalancing, I'm pretty happy with the current Mu for the most part. Was talking with C0R and the one thing that'd be really nice would be a bit longer untechable time on CH 236D. Would make it a lot easier to confirm CH lasers and make people fear them more. And although it kind of sounds like the next upcoming patch will just be tweaks, negative edging/holding down Ds and 236/214D for a period of time would be awesome to add in.

Also I just noticed your sig Solar, that's pretty hilarious. Sounds pretty accurate on how to fight Mu lol.

Here's a change I would like for Mu, remove that hurtbox on top of the 5C's hitbox.

Because I love you a lot Ve, I'm going to ask Mori to keep it, and make it bigger.

...you mean how inactive the rest of the non sticky threads are :) but yeah somehow this thread is getting some posts.

I'd also like them to give the j.C and 6C ones smaller as well, but it would definitely do some good to change 5C's hurtbox.

Secret Tech Teasers:

Invisible overhead and fuzzy setups-

j.b > j.a gatling can be hidden behind command laser on jumpin, the laser also allows you to pick up the j.a overhead into a much stronger combo than usual. Setups revolving around this also allow for rising j.b fuzzies to be combo'd off meterless.

Meterless OTG combo setups-

Combo off 3c non CH, with no specific pre-memorized timing, setups are also applicable to stein pressure lockdown if your mixup is blocked. Knowledge can also be applied to meterless airthrow combos.

Guardcrush setups-

Due to the absurd amount of blockstun on SoD4 (36 frames), you can do some very interesting things on RC, mainly 214d, which has a 36 frame startup, allowing for gapless setups that eat 4+ primers. These are especially applicable with the ability of SoD to hit meaty, on the last of the 5 active frames, increasing it's advantage on block from +7 to +11 if you decide to not RC.

Airthrow setups-

Stein Pressure setups- ( ][ brackets indicate delayed projectile hits: Stein-d, Charged Stein-D, Totsuka Blade-TB )

Settings charged steins pre-knockdown allow you do apply them later in your pressure so long as you know they're coming. These hits can make normally suicidal discussions on offense into incredibly powerful mixup options; an example being meaty 6a > 2b > ]D[ > 236d > ]TBx2[ > IAD crossup j.2c > RC > j.b > ]TB[ > j.4d > ]TB[ > fuzzy j.b

I'm curious about the fuzzy because I haven't actually thought of working with this yet. Watching the evo grand finals showed me that you really need some kind of unreactable overhead to defeat players that have a too strong defense.

Lol, I was just working with the jb ja fuzzy yesterday, and was deciding whether or not to post on it before. I don't think laser hits were necessary to pick up j.a, because j.a>2B combos every time, even when j.a hits really high. J.A also does stupid dmg as well if it lands in the corner, too. P1 90 is glorious.

I was looking at JP mu videos for help with the lambda matchup, and I found exactly what we're talking about, this is a fuzzy guard : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwW2y9HWu3s#t=3m49s sadly the laser breaks his combo. I know that feeling.

btw I am unsatisfied with the videos we have of Mu vs Lambda, either it looks like a bad matchup and there doesn't look like there's an effective way to deal with her zoning, or there's something missing. It's like at neutral a good guess gets you slightly closer while a bad guess will put you in a bad situation and with less healh.

If you have a laser you can do j.a > 5c, or even j.a > 214d for much higher damage than 2b hitconfirm would allow.

I really wanted to play you at evo, but I didn't see any mu's outside of zeromus :( maybe I should have drank less beer and worked more on finding casuals
