Something that has been ticking at my brain... There is a huge emphasis in game based on Color, especially Blue, Black, White, and Red.

Ragna and Nu-13 wield the false Azure Grimoire, yet Ragna is clad in Reds and Blacks; and Nu-13, likewise, is predominantly in Whites and Blues

Hazama/Terumi is the Black Susano-o and creator of the false Azure Grimoires.

Haku-Men is the White Susano-o

The NOL Creed, "Dispatched in mankind's darkest hour, we are Knights of the Blue Flame!"

The different branches of the NOL color motifs: "Shimmering Blue Flame," "Corrosive Pitch Black," "Incorruptible Pure White"

Bolverk exploding into Blue and Red energy before Noel was consumed by Blackness and shoved into Adventus to be tempered into Kusanagi.

Just about ANYTHING meaningful Arakune says involves color of some sort.

Not to mention the bright, vibrant colors that dominate each character's appearance. Each of the major characters (Ragna, Terumi, Jin/Haku, Saya, the Murakumos (Lambda, Noel, and Nu), Litchi, Arakune, and Rachel) have at least one or more of the four colors as a dominant part of their design.

Just a nagging thought in my head I got from a translated line in the CS console theme "Until the world is covered in Azure."

Guys, if this turns into a pissing contest of LOL MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IS DEEPER THAN YOURS I will loathe all of you with with the power of ten million supernova suns.

Hakumen says Rachel is much like himself and requires an observer. Bets on who her observer is, it can't be Takamagahara since they're kind of occupied.

No no no, sorry, there's no character in BlazBlue that's "deep" by my definition, that's what I want to say. They are interesting, but just not that deep.

Just what is an "observer" anyway. If Ragna being so angry at Terumi is enough to make his existence stronger, isn't Ragna technically one of Terumi's observers? It seems to me that as long as you have someone who either love you or hate you, you're all set. The higher the power of that someone, the stronger your existence.

Ragna's grudge would of only kept Terumi around temporarily, he says he needed to be observed by Noel to actually stay. And having somebody love you doesn't seem to be enough, Arakune is at risk of fading away even though Litchi cares about him.

Where was it said that Arakune is fading away? I didn't know.

Also, maybe Litchi is such a low ranked observer that she cannot make a big difference? After all, all the other observers are monsters in many ways compared to the relatively normal human like Litchi.

In Arakune's story Hakumen warns him he's in danger of fading away because he's becoming an "uncertain factor" like Hakumen and Rachel.

I noticed that Mu-12 identifies Nirvana as an "A class threat", while in CT Nu considered her a threat level of B. Considering Mu is (supposedly) stronger than Nu, would that mean that Carl and Nirvana have grown stronger as well?

Since Lambda died, any speculation on what will happen to her in the next game? Are they just going to introduce yet another clone murakumo unit? (how many of them are left anyways?) Or will she or Nu be revived? Or will she exist as a nonstory character, I wonder?

they said the 13th prime field (murakumo) was active again.... so.... looks like Nu might be back :vbang:

It's probably safe to assume that everyone has grown a little bit stronger from CT.

The first black beast was created when they were trying to create either the Azure Grimoire or the Anti-Shankishin Core Units and the cauldron went crazy, and then every time after that it was a result of Ragna and Nu fusing.

Just like to point out that as of Phase 0, that's not actually correct. Though I don't really want to post any Phase 0 stuff here, I'm waiting until someone more qualified to translate it posts a thread for it.

OMG tell us what you know! I can wait for a more proper translation, but in the meantime, give us your understanding of how events in the book went down.

From what I can gather, when Ragna fell into the cauldron with Nu, he didn't merge with her. He actually ended up arriving at the year 2106 with memory loss. As it turns out Bloodedge was in fact Ragna.

WWWHAAT?!!

actually that makes sense, as much as a mind fuck can.... so Ragna's sword and jacket came from him in the past.... and so... *brain melts*

anyways, so what was the black beast?

Well, Nu wasn't as so much 'active' as it was that they (Terumi and Relius) found the body at the bottom of the Cauldron. They brought it back up and Terumi mentioned another weapon... The Sword of Iznagi. So, you can assume that Nu would be back, but more or less as a souless cyborg with a weapon that could put the Sword of Kusanagi to shame (Remember, Nu's soul was placed in Lambda and once Lambda got killed by Hazama's Ouroboros, Nu's soul was released and helped Ragna gain the power needed to beat Hazama).

Now, this has me curious... What is this Sword of Iznagi? Has it even been mentioned anytime before the True Ending in CS?

It's the Sword of Izanami, and it refers to Nu. I remember quite clearly that Hazama was actually asking "So you're the Sword of Izanami, huh?" to the body of the 13th subject (Nu).

I knew it~ Awesome. I wonder how the Black Beast was made then. Or maybe he helped fight the original somehow or something.

Wow, that shit is just plain stupid now. I can't take this games story seriously at this point anymore.

So... Does this mean Nu can become the black beast with or without Ragna? Just wondering because, if I remember correctly, there is a part in calamity trigger's story mode where he experiences becoming the black beast with Nu and attacking Noel. (or is this just not addressed at all?)

Sorry in advance if it is a question that can be answered right now.

Also, if he really is Bloodedge, then I guess this means those clothes and sword of his must be really old from getting sent back into the past only to get given to Ragna a hundred years later and then going back to the past again...? Unless I am mistaken on how the time loop works.

I ragequit BlazBlue's story after the idea of them making another incarnation of Ragna in the past that came from the future who goes back to the past and dies only to meet his incarnation in the future and become that incarnation by going back in the past.
