Ragna says OVER ten years though ("You've had that sword for over ten years" or something like that), at least in the English version. :S

He DID say that, but how old are Jin and Ragna??

lol

who knows? I personally place Jin at 19-22 and Ragna four years older max but it's not canon.

In that case whose to say 10 Years ago Jin wasnt already practicing with Magic and all that stuff. After all they had Nine's sister as a guardian and ontop of that Ars Magus wasnt rare at the time. Ragna also seems to know quite a bit about Ars and stuff, although you could probably pin that to Rachel and Cat person

I got a question, was the Ragna that Rachel bit "Bloodedge" Ragna? I know she only bit him once so I'm just curious if that's the one who it was.

bump.

The Ragna that Rachel bit?

That would have to be the original Ragna. Bloodedge Ragna might probably be the first Ragna, getting stuck in the first Loop Takemakahara made.

Here's a question that has been painfully lodged in my mind. This is assuming that every characters Canon ending actually has relevance to the true ending. Feel free to correct me if I don't remember that well.

At the end of Lambda 11's story, her canon ending ended with her being approached by Relius Clover (?). But somehow she appears in the True Ending to save Ragna. How did she get there? Did Relius purposely let her go to interfere with the fight?

adding onto this: why did she desintigrate from a single stab to the back? an explosion maybe, but sappy anime desintigration? :psyduck:

It wasn't just a single stab; he stabbed her at least twice. Furthermore, she gave the Idea Engine, which was pretty much her sole thing keeping her in her Murakumo state, so THAT'S probably what disintegrated her.

Or the disintegration was due to something with Ouroboros. Is it really worth worrying over?

Same reason in Other M where Samus' power suit would fall off for plot convenience.

Question about Noel/Mu (More speculation rather than story related, for reasons described below):

When Ragna sacrificed his remaining human arm (And presumably the Idea Engine with it), did he both free Noel and destroy the Kusanagi unit inside her, or just the former? I.e. Can Noel still become Mu (But with free will, obviously)? If so, that would answer the question of how they're going to keep her as a character in the next game, assuming they don't just leave her in the character select and out of the story altogether, anyway.

Seemed like she only lost the Mind Control Emo Crown, but since she never canonically fights afterwards it's hard to say.

if she can, i see sailor moon transformations in her future...

It's explicitly mentioned that he reversed her tempering. Personally I believe that she can't go Kusanagi anymore, but Kokonoe will whip something up, allowing her to use it in a weaker state or whatever. Or they just won't bother with Mu in story.

Loss of idea engine + Ragna ate her soul? Last part is me speculating though. Or it's to be dramatic, it doesn't really have to make sense

I was more upset she died than the fact that she became glitter. If you really want an answer I dunno, it's kinda like asking how Kokonoe was able to salvage Lambda's regeneration tank since she disintegrated.

As for Noel becoming Mu again. I doubt it but ya never know. If they really want her to be part of the story they'll figure out a way.

Wow such a long thread, took me hours to read it all..

Anyway I had some theories of my own so let´s see if they make sense to anyone else but me :P

1.Jin's personality:

I think he was pretty much a normal kid untill terumi hijacked him and amplified his at that time childish desire to hog his brother(when my siblings where younger they would have fights over who could spend time with me lol). After that point I believe he got Yuki(my best reasoning would be that Ragna had to be told by Jin that Saya gave him Yuki and I find it hard to believe Rags of even the sister in charge, or Jubei was like 'Ow he just suddenly came home today with an ice sword, who cares?').

Now bare with me, I believe Yuki's side effect isn't to make Jin go crazy but to dull all of his emotions or even cancel them leaving him in a state in which Yuki can control him!(When mentioning Rags the yuki removes all limits so you get Jins obsessed hate/love for Rags?) Rags and Haku have both mentioned in CS that Jin wasn't wielding Yuki but yuki was using him for it's own desire to kill. This is demonstrated by the fact that in CS Jin originally doesn't want to kill ronin gai because they saved him but Yuki keeps compeling him to do so and even refuses to work for him when he disagrees.

As a result I believe Jins 'true' personality will be seen in the next installment, tho I feel like it will still be very simmilar.

2. Jin&Tsubaki&Haku

I believe Jin loved Tsubaki. When confronting her in his story mode in CS he starts giving an imo emo speach consisting of things like 'I never have given anything about anything in life' and 'you are the only thing I have'. This is probably Jin without Yuki pulling the strings.I also stress the fact that Haku-Jin loved Tsubaki, and not loved as in a sibling love. Else why would Haku resent his old self so much for making the wrong choices. Also as the former leader of the six heroes I don't think Haku would let Terumi do what he wants just to go check on tsubaki and leaving Terumi in the hands of his resented former self if he just thought of her as a sister. That and the compliment Haku gives Tsubaki is a bit more romantic imo than a brother would give his sister.

3. Terumi&the church children

I think Terumi didn't just randomly hijack Jin and started trolling the church family while drifting in the boundary. I don't have any logical explaination as to how Terumi got out of the boundary in the first place... But I think it might have been that Saya 'summoned' him. Imagne being so sick you have to stay in bed all day with no company and your brother was hellbent on not sharing your oldest brother with you. I'd be pretty emo then and wish there was a way to change this, and somehow I can picture Terumi taking advantage of this and offering a solution of sorts. After this he devices and sets his grand plan into motion and the fun starts. Saya being a way to stay bound to the world, Jin being his body to do things while being a ghost still and Rags hate as a nice backup for if things would go wrong.

4. Age of Rags and Jin

Coming from my own relation with my brother. I am only 11 months older then him yet I look several years older than him. Who is to say that the same doesn't apply to Rags and Jin? Since ages haven't be comfirmed it could have been that Jin was just a late bloomer and was infact 14-16 when rags was 15-17 during the family tragedy? I can for one imagne a 16 year old having a replica katana for one thing....

Well after typing that Berlin wall of text I think it's best to save the rest for later.

Props to the one who reads it all LOL

I promise you COMPLETE BIAS ASIDE, I never saw that in his story mode. I saw the philosophical speech and I've seen him nice to her but I never saw or heard anything that was close to "You are the only thing I have".

Other than that, you have some pretty interesting theories and the first one definitely seems plausible. I especially like the Terumi and the Church Children theory, I never thought about it like that. As for the age... I think someone tried to figure out their age before but couldn't be accurate though they said they may be like... in their late teens - early 20s.

Mmmm well maybe it weren't those exact words but I do recall something like that, geuss I'll replay Jin's story mode then.

I'm glad to read you liked it, I was afraid it would be a bit to far fectched.

Anyway I have some more where that came from:

1.Susanooh:Jin/haku&Terumi

Correct me if I'm wrong but according to what I know atm Terumi made the susanooh, the suit that made Jin Hakumen. He even wore it before he ripped free from it for some reason. So whats up with the very first time loop? Was there a black beast when terumi made the susanooh? Did he ever fight using it and if so was he just like Hakumen but a different personality? I think he made it and even used it for a while but probably broke free from it before the whole Black beast incident allowing Rachel to nab it and give it to Jin.Though I don't really have an explaination as to how Rachel got a hold of the Susanooh, it doesn't strike me as something Terumi would leave lying around. Then again Rags has an old version of the grimoire he made so maybe it was left unattended with intent?. I also think that by wearing the Susanooh one gives up their mortal body(I think so becasue when Haku gets shocked and you see an xray of him you see a mechanical construction. It doesn't seems like you could fit a human in there. Therefore Susanooh isn't an armor but a mecha. One can pilot and control this mecha by transferring their soul into it. This would obviously mean that one would have to give up their flesh bodies. My guess is that Terumi had preserved his old body and after freeing himself from the mecha he returned to his old body. Jin must have done the same but didn't preserve his old body so it probably decayed. As for fightingstyles I think the way Hazama fights was also the way Terumi fought when using the Susanooh and when he was in his old body. Imagne Haku with butterfly knives and an ouroboros chain LOL. Also I think If Haku removed his mask you would see something alike to the inside of a computer since there never was a body in it to begin with and therefore has no face.

Bang& his nox

First of all I believe Bang isn't the comic relief character that he is made into. I acctually think that that has to be the drawback of his Nox. Also the Nox probably is the nail, the fact that bang can use fire through his gauntles doesn't mean they are the nox. Rather I believe he is able to use fire jutsu, I mean he can disappear can't he and besides don't ninjas you know use jutsus? That and he can use flaming kicks as well(his 6D if i'm not mistaken) so has to be a jutsu. He also was an elite ninja before Ikaruga was destroyed so either Ikaruga ninjas have low standards or he must have been quite skilled at that point in time or he became clumsy and laughable afterwards.

If we take the latter to be true it means something must have changed him after the war. My guess would be the 55 inch nail on his back which he aquired after the passing of his master. So because he hasn't learned to use the nail yet he only is influenced by the drawbacks of his nox much like how Jin is influenced by Yuki when he carries it around. So I hope to see Bang getting much more powerful and cool in the next installment when Plat/Trinity teaches him how to use the thing. Altough I suspect they won't ever make Bang really cool, hell Arc is so keeping this guy comic relief. Sad really since Tao is so much more funny and enjoyable in this role.

Random stuff

Some random stuff. First of all I hope Litchi becomes fully corrupted and turns into an arakune and that Lottekune fades away. It would add a nice layer to the story and add some tragedy elements. It would also work for Litchi's development. Seeing how intially she was shown as pure white and slowly got more and more corrupted to be with her love. As a consequence Bang would meet the Lichti when he was halfway done turning into a Kune and he would be forced to striking her down ending it with a touching tragic end for her. This could also be a tool to make Bang more serious. I'm Also hoping for Jin to turn into a real hero, he shows more and more herioc traits when if you look at his development from CT to CS(albeit it still very very few.) A happy ending with Tsubaki and Jin would be nice and a good contrast to the love tragedy of Litchi, Bang and Lotte. Tao shoud stay exactly the same imo and not be given any deeper meaning, she is absolutely fit for comic relief and should keep doing that.

Enjoy the long read!

That would just be bitter... but on the other hand, we WOULD finally be free of Arakune. :P

My god I would love that.

Interesting read by the way. I always thought Haku was a mecha too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but according to what I know atm Terumi made the susanooh, the suit that made Jin Hakumen. He even wore it before he ripped free from it for some reason.

IIRC based on phase 0, Susanooh was a relic unearthed by Rachel's dad, along with Tsukuyomi. How it managed to go from Alucard family to Terumi's hand is not clear.

Bang can be thoughtful, and even have a mature conversation (for instance, with Haku in CT, with Jin in CS). In the material collection, he was writing/planning to write an Ikaruga history book for children so that the truth won't be lost among NOL propaganda - he's definitely not a fool, he knows how dirty the world can be. I'd like to think of him to be close to Tager in maturity, but he's also someone who enjoys his life to the fullest and thus can look silly at times.

About Litchi thing, if she becomes Arakune, then Litchi's unique playing style will be gone. Plus, I cannot imagine Arakune(Litchi) moaning when she's hit - that's just creepy. Arakune won't be Arakune without that awesome insane laugh of his.

Posted

Well maybe they could keep her playable but just no more story involvement? I have read a couple of suggestion somethings like that. Wow didn't know Susanooh was a relic.

Mmm it would be great if they showed that side of Bang more tbh, now he feels more like the guy people make fun of. Litchakune seems like a pretty nice concept to me tbh :P It could be a shocking and sick char or they could keep it conventional and just say she only retained her basic instincts and is more animal like.

Seeing those Boobies turned to slop means no more waggle waggle avatars. Or if you think about it.....imagine Arakune with a cursed pole just dieing to stab you with it.
