Nakkiel Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 5C[m] doesn't cause enough aerial hitstun to connect into 4D.
Nakkiel Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 And then it only works on crouchers, the point was asking if there was some way to launch with 2C and then connect 4D :/
Kenny tuty Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Time to come back here! Here's some translated info for litchi! Mid screen Tsubame setups. ~tsubame 1.~dash-D hold-dash-2B(-2C-D release-JB~hatsuchun) eats no tech, front roll, back roll. The damage and follow up is not that great, but stable. 2.~dash-back kote-D-dash-(D1-JB-JC-JB-D2-JB-JC) eats everything just like the 1. better mix up after, but the combo is distance restricted and harder. These two are the basic. I think I saw ~tsubame-9J-JC before, but didn't see any analyzing about this and don't really see this anymore either. The one I haven't seen anywhere yet but being discussed is ~2C-5C-tsubame-hakuhatsuchun-hikkake-dash2A this one has higher meter gain, more carrying, and eats no teching and front roll. I can't find anything about back tech, so this part needs to be checked when we get hold of CS2. also against emergency tech or delay tech, we'll have a lot of advantage frame with stick in front, means ippatsu combo after the mix up. There are a lot more stuffs that I still need to translate, I'll try to finish everything up before the CS2 release. So then everyone can get ready for that big tourney!
Lord Knight Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 !!!! once i get stable internet ill post up video stuff but its pretty much this Litchi nicovideo also this for all recent videos http://www.q-shu.net/~kakuge/bbsparts/blazbluebbs.php
Romeyurhomey Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 I saw a few vids that they used 6A, 5[m]C, then 4d but none connecting it with 2c. That was a good setup in CS oh wells =/.
Nakkiel Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 That's the best thing to do when you get staff returned on 5C. 6A 6B 2C[m] is for when you do the overhead earlier on.
Fugu Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Who are some notable CS2 Litchi players other than Fio? Because that's such a huge chunk of what I'm seeing; I want to watch someone else.
KD Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Galileo, Hane, and Rakki are good ones to watch out for. Shounen/Shonen is pretty good as well but it is hard as hell to find vids of him.
Nakkiel Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Kyaro is also a good watch, although he doesn't show up too often.
Lord Knight Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 Lucky doesn't play Litchi anymore afaik, he uses Tsubaki
KD Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Well shit that still works for me I love watching Tsubaki too lol. His question does remind me though , have you managed to see any Shonen CSII play? I remember reading from you that you only see him on streams or something?
namlay557 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 So I'm a new litchi player and was wondering if one of you good players could help me up. After I pick some one up with 2c and hit a jumping b,c how in the world do a land dash and hit with a 5c. Every time I try they just wake up. The best example of this is in challenge mode mission #6.
Nakkiel Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Delay your j.C. That is, don't immediately j.C after j.B, if you delay the gatling you'll be closer to the ground giving you the time you need to dash and 5C.
Diveman Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Galileo has been pretty entertaining to watch lately. I wish we could have Shounen vids more often.
namlay557 Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Is there any sort of short cut to do fire AA distortion? 6 4 2 8 C one.
Lord Knight Posted May 6, 2011 Author Posted May 6, 2011 64123698C. basically forward, back, then roll the stick toward up > C.
rinuskoe Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 anyone know who is the yellow/gold litchi in some of the recent a-cho videos? his play isn't as strong as galileo for sure, but he has very interesting approach and gimmicks.
Nini Heart Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I gotta say, Litchi looks really balanced and interesting now. She doesn't play like MvC3 top characters anymore, so arcsys definitely got something right.
Lord Knight Posted May 7, 2011 Author Posted May 7, 2011 the only thing that annoys me is that her staff pokes are so mediocre now basically, i feel like cs1 litchi had overall mid risk/high reward for most of her staff pokes - this for the most part was too good, and a skilled player could make almost any random staff hit a high damaging, corner carry combo into okizeme cs2 litchi's staff pokes are mostly mid risk/low reward - in the case of some normals like 3c[m], the reward is simply emergency techable knockdown. thankfully they had the mind to make it comboable on CH, but still. in the end what i do like is that they made her pokes more useful in neutral, especially itsuu. its a little bit easier to approach to the range where she's strongest. of course, daisharin is still bullshit, lol
Nini Heart Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Yeah, her ability to confirm random hits into massive damage + meter and put you into a 3 way mix up everytime you got hit was my main gripe. She still retains her strong neutral and screen control and strong corner game, but they got rid of what made her somewhat unfair. Sharin is still BS but I find it more fair since she doesn't get it as often as before. Also, getting hit by sharin mix-up doesn't lead automatically to another sharin mix-up because of meter gain cooldown.
Lord Knight Posted May 7, 2011 Author Posted May 7, 2011 getting hit by daisharin in cs2 is 4k - 5k + daisharin again unless baiting certain things (like rachel wind neutral tech) honestly the damage was real high but i just wanted her to still have her ability to send to the corner easily, because i feel like that was really important to her as a character i really dont like bcb stuff
Nini Heart Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Doesn't the move where she rams into you corner carry well? And bcb, is that her jumping loop? Lol why don't you like it? It corner carries really well iirc.
Lord Knight Posted May 7, 2011 Author Posted May 7, 2011 bcb loop is so boring to do 6D(1) is pretty much guaranteed corner carry, but its gotta be air hit. its really good to confirm into, i like that bcb stuff made litchi's combos mostly boring. . . the cs1 stuff was really fun. ct was cool cause we were always finding new things while trying to understand what the character was good at. bcb is just zzz. damage is good at least.
Nini Heart Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Is bcb her main combo route? Aren't there alternatives? I always thought it was either the ender or for corner carry.
