E3vE3 WAZ HEA Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 i guess platinum's was so bad he didn't even bother writing it xD (i kid, im sure you either forgot or still working on that match-up or both)
SolarMisae Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I picked up EX Litchi the other day. I was just trying to clear challenges out of boredom but I got stuck on Litchi's thinking "Hey this is kind of awesome...I might learn this lady." So tell me, are her challenge combos a good way to get an initial feel for her moveset and combo potential, and whats the main things I should focus on when first picking her up?
Star-Demon Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I picked up EX Litchi the other day. Sort of, but not really. umm.. makoto - 6-4 for makoto, makoto with no big damage + corner carry means you pretty much never have to worry about getting hit midscreen, she has to carefully time a 5b to stand a chance at beating your staffless 2b, this is probably litchi's best match by far for makoto?
E3vE3 WAZ HEA Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 star you do realize you can go for haku hatsu chun combo after 3c and ended the match sooner right
TD Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 what do you guys tend to do for mixups (mine has gotten a little stale recently and i'm kinda hard-pressed for ideas...)?
Star-Demon Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 star you do realize you can go for haku hatsu chun combo after 3c and ended the match sooner right CH 3C? Yes. I do it in practice mode. I can't confirm it.
E3vE3 WAZ HEA Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) CH 3C? Yes. I do it in practice mode. I can't confirm it. just making sure @TD: Troll: press buttons Help: Try putting the cpu in training mode to black all and see what you can come up with, id like to give you a string but i think its one you already know, and my pressure is way too predictable, jump canceling into the air to apply more pressure seems to work out a lot(chances are you already knew that -_-) Troll: your not pressing enough buttons, press so many of them it will make a T.V remote jealous. Star-Demon Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 All I got for midscreen and corner mixup is "Push D twice", do Staffless gatlings until you get to special moves, mash A, or jump cancel a C and start over. Mynus posted corner mixup things, Take a look at some.
Lord Knight Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 i forgot plat ff also yeah i meant 6-4 for litchi. maybe 6.5.
TD Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 lol eevee we're in the same boat. l already jump cancel enough to the point where its becoming predictable lol been watching shounen, for mixups he dosent really do anything fancy or stuff i'm not already doing, and he opens people up alot. x.x l feel like l have alot of options... they're just mostly bad options u.u and trying to come up with new stuff in training mode is just ugh. XD imma mash all the buttons for an hour and see what l come up with and @ mynus mixup it implies theyre in the corner which only seems to be when they're almost dead and l have meter for super(s)... so i'm looking pretty sad atm
Lord Knight Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 ok, i added plat, can't believe i forgot her lol
E3vE3 WAZ HEA Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 is it possible for a person to play a different fighting game and lean something to help them in the one they play most. I've been playing SC5 for about a week and a half, today i went on BB i saw my pressure with litchi wasn't as predictable as it use to be, i actually did something different ^_^........-_- so did the stuff i learn from SC5 transfer to my BB skills or am i going crazy and need to be locked in the nut house. (does this count as off topic, if it does i'll just delete it)
TD Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 no its very possible, you might even look at the game you normally play from a different perspective. like, l don't know sc5 well but someone who comes from sf and play bb may have solid fundamentals and good execution. after getting good at bb, they may be able to better predict the foe's moves (as an example). by exposing yourself to other fg's you're strengthening your mindset whether you put it to use or not. also its a general thread XD doubt you'll ever be truly off topic
E3vE3 WAZ HEA Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 oh okay, just wanting to make sure, thanks for that TD and its a litchi general thread, i think if we talk about something not litchi relate, it would count as off topic....right.....idk, your probably right, thanks again.
mynus Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 i forgot plat ff also yeah i meant 6-4 for litchi. maybe 6.5. Nice matchup breakdown. Japanese Carl's are so goddamn annoying. Everyone hates fighting that character. At least its not that bad for Litchi as it is for other chars. Ive seen top players made to look like complete scrubs against Carl....
Star-Demon Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 All I got for Carl is be super-duper passive aggressive and never touch the doll unless you are faking out carl. Otherwise It's just a squash, but hey, I get squashed by day 1 jins and makotos.
Lord Knight Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 you gotta touch the sister, but you cant use slow moves basically you can tell how good the carl is by how they deal with 3c > 5d
Star-Demon Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 He won't buy it if I 5A or 5B the sister. I gotta make him buy into thinking I screwed up. When he comes in he eats mistakes.
Lord Knight Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 actually if you want to beat carl you need to use 5b[m]/5b, 2c, jB[m]/jB, 3C > 5D, 4winds, tsubame and itsuu 5b is great because even if the sister uses a super armour move, you can still jump cancel to airdash away or do a rising jB
Star-Demon Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 LK - Haz match is even provided you finish him quickly? isn't that a bit unreasonable? Even for yourself?
Lord Knight Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 i think youre misunderstanding the match is even the longer you take to beat him, the harder the match is because once he gets 50 meter, his damage output is far greater than litchi's if you win rps at round start, you can literally take the round right there one random ch on him, one cancelled chain or itsuu vs chain, that's all it takes to take the round
mynus Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Haz literally get run train on. He cannot stop Litchi. I feel I can walk him to the corner after any random hit into tsubame/4D. Once he gets 50 meter you have to transition your approach if you dont already have him in the corner, but Haz's tend to fish for that non-2A/5A hit for Hotenjin otherwise it might not be worth it unless Litchi is w/o staff. After he gets 50 you can start to read their approach.
E3vE3 WAZ HEA Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 is it too scrubby to use itsuu to bait peoples wake up DP's (and why do i have a feeling i just asked the most dumbest question ever posted)
