Getting more of a feel for fighting Carl. Very fun matchup. Very momentum based, though. Getting trapped usually means losing. Otherwise, I generally can maintain an advantage if i use 5d/6c/5b blockstrings/nails appropriately instead of just doing JB like a retard and getting FC'd by carl's superior JB.

Need to figure out how to punish carl's slide after I do 2b. 6D? 6C? hmm.

Also need to get off my ass and do reliable late tech punishing setups.

Litchi is fun as hell and more natural for me than mu. Gonna learn sub-optimal combos(not gonna learn her combos with big changes coming up so soon..already did that in ct :x Plus, sub optimal combos=less tier whore accusations. Funny considering I played bang and haku in ct, tho..) and sub her.

silly mightfo tier whoring is something that transcends sequels :O i.e. a friend of mine changed his main to litchi because he found out she was going to be top tier in CS. as opposed to I get called a tier whore for maining haku when in actuality I'd still play him even if he was rachel tier.

oh that and people letting their character's tier status carry them instead of actual skill.

annnnnd keep on the lookout for a possible meetup in arlington sometime in the near future. mainly because I'm tired of playing folks online :/

haha. i'll still play bang and litchi in cs+ unless they end up rachel tier(unlikely) or change gameplay-wise drastically in a way i don't like(but it looks like litchi is getting staff mode nerfed and staffless mode buffed, which I like since right now staff mode is too good which devalues her whole stance thing ) unless i don't sub litchi for long and switch to valk or plat, obviously.

even if i got bored of maining bang, i'm "used" to him so picking him and doing decent is natural. so he'll probably at least be a sub forever.

if mu was a little more like venom(activate things after deploying them instead of them activating a set duration after putting them out) i would like her a lot more...i guess that's part of why i like litchi more. deploy staff, then use it when you want, how you want, possibly making it bounce around the stage depending on the matchup.

Well, it's just one more burst than a normal astral setup. You asked for an astral combo ;p

If you don't rageburst immediately every match, you'd be able to do it. ;P

also zreb brought a 12 inch tv as speakers for the second setup's monitor.

At least BlazBlue, Melty, and Arcane are fairly similar games button wise. KoF is 4 button too, right? In that sense, the biggest problem is gone! All you have to do after is separate all the characters/play styles. I use Miyako in MB and end up charging in all day. Total opposite of my Lambda game.

you'll find a way. just pick a unique style to each game. i.e. i play as a fast character in SSF4(ibuki) a slow character in BB(hakumen), and relatively everywhere in GG(then again i kind had 5 years with that game already sooo....)

Just don't take on too many at once, you'll get overwhelmed and want to stop playing.

but..ah, vsav has so much more interesting stuff in it, and it's not a ASW style airdash fighter or kof or vs team fighter or anything. but it still has so much to it and character gameplay designs are awesome.

sadly, MBAA and GGAC dont look like they're getting a modern port any time soon, so i guess i'll be doing bb, ah3, and kof13, which i can handle.(already been playing kof2002/garou/vsav on the side of bb with a friend significantly) though, we'll see how impressive kof13 actually is. having the cancel meter separate from the ex moves/super meter is bonerific though.

Anyways, I go by RoK the Reaper and I've been playing BlazBlue since CT; mained Ragna in that game but main Makoto in CS.

Anyways, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I'm not available because I have work. HOWEVER, I am available Monday-Thursday, and if anyone is having any meet-ups, I'm a pretty decent player; but I'm really missing match-up experience. I play on XBox 360

Sup? I live in the Richardson/North Dallas area. Very close to Richland College. I'm definitely interested in going to some meetups once my schedule clears out a bit. I just moved but once I get settled in I might be open to hosting. Currently I have GGAC no plus BBCS for PS3 Mu unlocked, I'll be getting Makoto next month and Valk as soon as he drops. As an oddity I also own Arcana Heart 1 :P

Far as I'm aware This is the only pre-made PS2 style stick worth getting.

Its not bad as a starter. Its easily modable from what I've seen but mine is more or less stock. The stick is stiffer than the Sanwa JLF that come stock on TE's, which I like as its much easier to execute IAD's because it snaps back to neutral harder. The buttons are iffy at best. I should really replace mine. It definitely is not as high quality as some of the other sticks available.

Same here. I can't even play at home so I get no chance to learn combos. Just memorizing things I pick up on youtube.

I'm also considering learning Tsubaki now after seeing Ginseng doing fancy stuff at NCI. We'll see how that goes.
