Also, just great job this season in general. As you said, you've accomplished a lot this year and have earned a lot of respect in the Japanese community. Getting to see you play in some of the qualifier videos is pretty cool. NOW GET THAT LAST CHANCE SPOT!!!

EDIT: that blue slayer that starts with an O, that's Ozawa. He even has a combo named after him, the OZAWA combo (slayer launches them, does j.k, link j.k, j.2k, link another jump into j.k because you're WAY below them after the j.2k, looks really cool). I'm curious who this black I-no is. Did you happen to get a pic of the brackets?

Ryan, I dont play BB much at all but lots of good people are usually playing at Mikado. They have 3 HD cabs. Since all the good Kanto GG players go there, many of them play both games so its a good bet for sure. There might be another hot spot. I can ask around for you if you want. What day do arrive in Japan?

Good read, nice to see you're getting a little more serious about planning for the future. My mom has been taping all these food network shows about deep dish pizza since I mentioned I might be interested in doing something like that with you guys, lol.

Sounds like you guys had fun in Kyushu, kinda hard to stomach that I'm still so far from my next trip. Btw, when are you around during the holiday season? I'm looking at making a fairly extended stay in for Most of Jan/Feb(probably not making it out in November unless I realllllly wanted to see my gf) since my parents will buy me a plane ticket as a graduation present.

Man, I wish I could just start writing my thesis and get on with these JET interviews. Not knowing whats going to happen next year is starting to get stressful.

Pictures page has been completely updated! I uploaded ALL the pictures I took from my camera AND Ryoko's iPhone. I just finished putting the last ones up. I also organized EVERY photo on my flickr into a set so its easier to find stuff. Take a look if you feel like it.

Is frosty faustings going down this year? I'm trying to decide if I want to go to seasons beatings(and actually start practicing up my shit some more), and I don't think I could go to both.

Honestly Matt, I havnt started planning for it yet, but if I do go home again this winter (which I do plan to) I would like to run it again. If you really want to go to Season's beatings, by all means go ahead. Maybe you will even be able to afford both by the time FF rolls around.

When I go to Japan in January, since its probably the last time I'm going on a visitor's visa and I'll finally be done wit school, I'm planning on staying for as long as I can. As you can imagine, that will require a pretty sizable nest egg to accomplish, so I'm trying to be some what frugal with my pay for now.

I guess I'll just see how things develop.

Also, lol at only 1 JP slayer qualifying, and faust being the most reped character. Man, 0 didn't even qualify this year.

Last chance qual is the morning of SBO finals at 7 am. This year, you can only enter if someone on your team has a red ticket (meaning they already won a preliminary qual). Since I did, I can enter. Only 8 teams will be able to enter this year through random lottery. Hopefully my team gets picked.

Yea I was also shocked to see that Faust is the most played character in SBO this year. Hes far from top tier. I guess lots of Fausts just stepped it up or had good teams. Too bad im not among them.
