Makes me remember the days when I used to go home in the mornings and would always end up passing out on the train and waking up in random parts of the kanto region at the end of the line. Curse the Shinjuku line for turning into the Keio line going the direction my house was in. Also, you dirty lech. Leading on that innocent maiden like that. Innocent maidens totally hang out at international parties you know. And how wierd must it have been for that Jason guy? He thinks he's going to get lucky, and it turns out he's stuck listening to the tales of your awesomeness all night long.

St1ckBuG Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I'll be in Japan for two weeks this September, and I'm not sure how to go about planning... I want to visit a few friends in Tokyo and Nagoya while I'm over there, as well as go to SBO. Any advice on where to go and how to plan before hand? I've never traveled outside of the US before (except to Canada for a day) so I'm not sure what I should be expecting. Any advice? I also want to get some games in with you Mike (and some drinks), if it's not too much trouble.

The first weekend of September, I will be just staying in my town. I should be in Tokyo the weekend of Sept 10th and the Final Roundbats tournament is going on at Hobgoblin in Akasaka so if you are interested in coming out to play some SF and Marvel or just to chill and drink and eat pizza, that would be cool. As for the weekend of TGS and SBO... it pains me to say this but I cant make it to SBO this year. My school's sports festival falls on the same day as SBO this year so I have to work. Im not sure what my plans are going to be like for that weekend. I may or may not even go to Tokyo. As far as recomended places, if you wanna play GG, you should go to Mikado. Its right next to Takadanobaba station in the ally by the Lawson. You can see it from the station platform. I guess if you have any more specific questions just let me know

I might not be around in Tokyo the weekend you arrive but Ill be around in Tokyo fairly often as usual so im sure we will find some time to drink and play games. Blade, I think I already uploaded those on my flickr page. I actually have been super lazy with uploading pics and I have ton of pictures from a while back up until now that I need to upload so I should hopefully have those up sometime this week. I will post on here when they are uploaded.

From there we're going to exchange our rail passes, get some currency (if we don't get to do it in Newark), and then take the Narita express into Tokyo to meet up with Stanley, the Chinese BB qualifier. We'll be staying at Kyle's (sunedge) old apartment in Tokyo, but I don't think we'll be able to meet up with him until later since he apparently works late. I only play GG and BB. I know how to play Marvel and SF but I suck at them both, so I'm not sure if we're going to go to the Final Roundbats unless there's a place worth going to around there for GG. We'll be hopping around Tokyo/Nagoya/Kyoto for a little over a week starting the 9th, and then we're going to fly out to Okinawa (19th-21st) for a couple days. I leave Japan the 23rd. I was already planning on visiting Mikado. The level of play there looks godlike. I'll be renting a phone while I'm over there, so if you want you can PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you my number (once I get the phone) and you can just call me whenever you're in Tokyo for some GG. I don't have any specific questions anymore. Kyle will be helping us out mostly. Thanks again. Hope to see you soon.

If you want to go out drinking, I can take you guys to Current, PSY, and GODZ. If you just wanna take it easy and play GG casuals, I suppose we could play at Kyles place if he doesnt mind. Sunday, I am playing poker in Gunma so I wont be sticking around. The following weekend is my schools sports festival so I have to work and will probably just end up staying in Gunma the whole time. So, the only time I will see you is probably Saturday night but we can play games or drink or whatever. Ill pm you my cellphone info.

Most of the people we play with are just other foreigners (aside from one Japanese guy and my girlfriend). Yea, sucks I wont be around this weekend. My sports festival landed on the worst possible day for me this year.
