thedanielrecord Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 The problem I find with BB commentators, is that they rarely talk about the game, like when bang used daifunka, there was no need to "repeat" what bang says, and sadly, this is a very common thing in every american BB match ive seen, seriously guys, look at james chen, he jokes and shit, but he knows A LOT about street fighter 4 and always teaches you how to play, why is this player doing this, and how is that player countering, etc. That needs to be fixed, or I might as well just put mute and listen to a random song that probably says something more interesting than the guys commentating yea, repeating the Japanese phrases was easily the most annoying thing about the commentating, especially when the other commentator was explaining what's going on and Coopa decides to yell "Daifunka" over him. The SSF4 commentators really put the BB commentators to shame as they really do a good job explaining the tactics and the details of the game. I mean there is no question they know the inside and out and probably are good players as well, just wish they were better commentators. It really makes watching these things frustrating, as I'm not knowledgeable enough to watch the videos muted and still understand 100% of what's going but it's also hard to focus when the commentary is so distracting.

The term "Fair and Square" is not an excuse, I say haven't played but he won fair and square, its an excuse. You say he doesn't play and he is gdlk for it. Funny thing is that Hellmonkey undisputed is the best player you guys have and he still lost to someone in the tournament that was EC and didn't even know how to do FRCs. I didn't say a thing because I was, I was a training mode monster.Post Evo I barely found anytime to play. I even told people that I wasn't going to play anymore. Ah, I'm sorry. I'll try to improve on my commentary. If it's any consolation, I generally work better with people I've commentated with before. Xie is amazing though, and I see your points. Right now, I feel that I need a break from BBCS, but I do have a few obligations to get through before I just kick it. First, pictures for Socal Regionals are in abundance. I promised Haunts I need to do a joke article for SCR, and I've got a podcast to do with Dacid and several key figures in the Blazblue community. A lot of shit happened, and I feel more or less down about SCR. Not 100% sure why.
