Huh...A tournament for 3 awesome fighters in a pizza place with a 7/11 across the street?? Sounds pretty hype:yaaay: Now if there is just a Panda near there, I'll be obligated to go!

I've got a friend who plays SSF4 while I play CS and we both have a good interest in this.

I do have a couple questions though, first one being: Will you need people to bring setups for this?? If so, I DO have a 360 with CS and DLC charcters/colors. I also have SSF4 if we run short of either game. No costume DLCs though.

My second question is that my friend plays PS3, will you have PS3 setups available there for him to use since he only has a PS3 stick?? I would just say let him borrow mine when needed but the chances of holding up matches cause we need to pass a stick around wouldn't fair well...

So far the only PS3 setup would be my own. The issue simply lies within the fact that very few people locally play on PS3, so copies of games + sticks/converters are the main issue. We do have a pretty hefty stock of people with stock TEs available, and pretty much all the locals are friendly enough to let you use their equipment, but I know that still doesn't really do much for those who want to play on their own sticks.

As far as bringing setups goes, more setups being brought, the better, especially those with DLC available is better. We might or might not need them, I just need to ask first as to who has everything downloaded or not.

I personally am going to make every effort to make it to this and generate as much hype among all the people I know to make it out to this. Here's hoping for a good tournament, I'll update soon on whether or not it's guaranteed I can make it. Thanks for telling me about it at NCI, Tone, was nice to meet you.

Would be about an hour drive for me but I've made farther then that for BB. I will try my best to show up.

Third edit! My dumb ass can't seem to read a calender. I should be able to make it out for this as long as i can get work off. Also, if I am able to go I can bring my PS3 with CS and DLC so let me know if you want me to.

I would say you should change the consoles listed to "Currently possessing 360's, still confirming PS3 setups" so as not to scare anyone PS3 only off who has their own system they could bring. :keke:

if i end up going, i will gladly bring my 360 and converters so people can bring ps2 sticks.

and we'll be able to play kof tone!

Glad to see people are still hungry post-NCI!

In any case, yes, PS3 setups are welcome, and if we can get enough of them (looking at like 2-3 aside from mine), the tourney can be run entirely on PS3s, which would be really nice.

Hrm might be able to make it. We'll see, I got a bunch of tests that week. Damn education and career....

My friend who plays SSF4 would most likely be able to bring his PS3 and copies of SSF4 and CS depending on whats needed, I can also bring 360/CS if needed. Personally I would prefer to play CS on 360 since I am very used to my stick now BUT I got through NCI with my friends TE stick so it honestly doesn't matter.

How many setups do we need for each game??

Posted

We're looking at 2-3 setups for each game.

As far as GG goes, I can ask about it if people are seriously willing to play and enter.

A toll to there and an hour 30 drive make me extremely iffy, but I'd be down maybe depending on classwork and possible ride to the place.

Posted
This is a 6 hour drive but I'm considering it. I'm assuming there's no chance of GG being run?

Do it

Posted

If work doesn't own me, I'll try to make it out there. Just to support the scene anyway. I'll enter just to troll lol.

Posted

If I can grab a ride from someone in the Berkeley area then I can definitely make it.

I'll pay for my share of the gas, my share of the toll, and the driver's lunch maybe?

Posted

I have to work that day but I can try and get my shift covered. Again, let me know if you want me to bring my ps3 with dlc. If you do that will give me more incentive to try to get it off :P

Posted

If you're able to make it, do bring the PS3 setup! If people are willing, I can get it running on all PS3, which would make things a lot smoother.

Posted

If anybody is coming through Santa Rosa in order to get to this, I'll pay bridge toll, I'll give sub-par blow jobs, I'll bake brownies, I'll smoke you out, I'll sleep with your arch nemesis' mother. Whatever. Just consider picking me up, if you're around, plz.
