So the word is yes, there will be a gathering at State this Saturday. I'm not going to post this on SRK for the express reason that there are some people who are undesired(not by me in particularly). If you know somebody on SRK that you don't think we'll have a problem with, pm them about the gathering, other than that, this invite stays on DL.

I would be thankful for Thursday gatherings. I'm more than good to drive up there. The one thing keeping me from Seasofcheese place is basically the people who aren't going to be there. I want to learn, and don't mind helping, but don't want to drive to teach a class, nyahmean. That sounds awfully elitist, and I do apologize.

THURSDAY SESSIONS! I really need to get off my ass and start some ranking battles here. We all need to have a consistent place with something on the line. We could do CS and Super, and if (or when) they get big, we could do single elim tourneys until top 8 (some other ranbat did this). Make sure people can get home in time if they need to, or stay later for casuals if they want to.

I need to post here more. I like you guys. No homo.

Check engine lights are random as hell. Fuel filler cap isn't on tight enough and it lights up like a Christmas tree but my car develops a misfire and it can't be bothered.

Walk more and block more instead of guessing random move. You may win some like that but neither player gets better. In all honesty, if you played like that, I'd also be more apt to drive to Seasofcheese.

There isn't any specific list of people that I had in mind when I posted that; all I was saying was that I didn't want to go to a session if it's a bunch of newer plays only. If they're mixed in with more experienced players/faster learners, then that's awesome, because I really don't mind helping, but that also gives me the opportunity to make something of the drive for myself.

Hope that makes things seem less "asshole-ish?"

I honestly have very little experience vs that playstyle outside of tournaments so I might learn a little and adapt if we ever PLAYED. I remember at the tournament I wasn't sure how to beat st.HK and HK CW USED to beat it, but after messing around in training mode, the new speed of CW coupled with st.HK seeming slightly different, it doesn't work anymore. I need to learn to counter poke the fast walk speed fast and large button characters but yeah... opportunity to play them = 0 usually. The people that do play them don't play them right, that's for sure.

I mean I know it's a ways out if you feel like you don't have anything to learn from the drive but how is the community supposed to get better if you pick and choose who you play based solely on if you like fighting them? If I learned to fight you, I would get better, thus, helping you get better, thus, helping me get better, and so forth.

I would loooooooooove a session where we just grinded out some fights and you pointed out things and vice versa as the matches progressed. I know you're opposed to online but you wanna give it a shot 1v1 sometime this week?

Oh no, the misfire occured when I was working at Market America. Just driving down 68 to get lunch and the engine starts sounding like its missing a beat followed by reduced power. Right now the only thing that sucks is school.

If Roski didn't want to play scrubs, he would just have secret gatherings and never post up on SRK and only post them on TZ and then not show up to a hotel gathering when all the SC Tekken players came. Not saying I know anyone who does that or anything...

I get what he's saying though. It makes sense, it's just not something a lot of people come out and say for whatever reason, cause there's a set list of rules of things you're allowed to think but not say without looking like an asshole. He's not exclusively playing good players, but he doesn't want to exclusively play new players either. If I had to GUESS, I'd say a good/new 20/80 or 30/70 mix works. Shit maybe even less good players, like 10/90. All you need is a big gathering with at least a few good players there to get in REALLY good sets with, but not minding watching and playing the new players and giving tips. There needs to be a balance of community growth as well as individual growth. And driving 2 hours for 100% community growth with 0% individual growth fucking sucks.

I've heard some shit talk on all sides about a lot of people, but not you yet. We all have stuff to learn, and that includes the people getting paid as well as the people paying.

Yeah but not having good players and not liking to play the good players there is two different things. Especially when it's complaining about guessing. No one complains about a good Abel when 90% of his game is getting in your face and guessing so I don't get why Fei doing that bothers people so much when he was clearly designed to be able to do that pretty well.

Pretty much most things in FGs are guessing really. There's bits and pieces of reacting here and there but most of it is based off of educated guesses, even footsie.
