RoboCurse Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Yeah, I remember getting frame trapped by WoW, shit was like +100 on block. I totally understand real life. Maybe when I move back to Cary, I can run some small blaz focused gatherings, but I would welcome all games too.
Zoogstin Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Yeah Jon went MIA for a while due to WoW as well at one point. I honestly would just focus on BB if you did gatherings. We're not Cali or the Midwest. If you have a gathering with BB and invite other games IT WILL get drowned out. Georgia Tech has weekly gatherings on Fridays. It was originally dedicated to just Blazblue. As of right now BB has been no where in sight at this gathering for more than a month. CSE should hopefully change that. Although I would alternate your gatherings between BB only and mixed games so as to not to alienate people.

A lot of people have the mindset and mentality to play competitive fighters but few have the lifestyle for it (for others its the lack of getting their priorities straight). I could tell for a while you were potentially starting to move on. Who knows where I'll be once I'm done with Grad school Oh yeah Austin, forgot to post here. Looks like I might be in GA soon as well for Grad school. lol. The inablility to find a job that I truly like with a Bachelor's in Art finally sunk in for me... D: But yeah, I can somewhat relate to you guys about fighting games (maybe for slightly different reasons). Now with Grad school going on, and less people playing the games I truly enjoy playing, I just don't see the reason to really devote time to games now. I just feel that spending time on school, art projects, working out, and whatever else, is just a better use of my time. Like I still plan on attending tournaments, just so I can hang out with friends..... But as far as actually playing to win.... I think I'm done, Unless AH4 comes out, or the Melty Scene grows insanely huge or something like that. But yeah, in 2 weeks, I'll be leaving North Carolina.

Its not that I can't come today or tommorrow its just that I went to Charlotte on Wednesday, and Raleigh on Thursday. That's a lot of traveling. I usually prefer weekends but since so many people insist on having gatherings during the week, I'm left to take care of things here on the weekend. This weekend is the best opportunity to see people again in Raleigh since there's so many people I need to visit but I'm trying to take care of some school stuff and I need to think it out. I know you're very busy in the evenings during the week. Are there any weekdays I could come by? I really wanna play Extend more than CS2. I'm screwed for Final Round because the American version won't come out until 2 weeks before. =/

I pretty much stopped playing BB and picked up Ultimate and KoF. I'm trying to get serious in both of those games to enter Final Round and EVO, but everything local is totally off my radar since I never check this or SRK.

Its a shame I won't be able to get the American version of BB until 2 weeks before FR. I'm screwed in that department. BBCS2 Carl makes me too mad to play. But whatever. I'm going to talk to Jon and see if he can hold a gathering Wednesday. If we can all make it to that then that will be good.
