I don't know if anyone in Cali plays that much anymore so it's pretty much just what we used to have against what socal used to have and socal always had the larger scene.

Located near the I-80 Freeway, and there's like tons of food joints near it when people get hungry. Only thing that bad about the location is parking, but you can always park across the street, in the Rite Aid parking lot. I can schedule it on the 18th of December, and it'll start @ 6PM. Just have to check back with the manager of the venue. I need set-ups too. Right now, I don't have my Xbox 360 due to the thief I mentioned earlier in this thread, but, I'll make a thread if everyone is up to the tournament, and you guys can post there if you can bring a set-up.

No one in socal really plays guilty gear anymore. Norcal has _way_ more people playing guilty gear not to mention a decent influx of new faces. There is no excuse. The norcal scene is 20x more active than the socal one. you guys do monthly majors and weekly gatherings. i frown only because you guys actually have the starting materials to craft something that doesn't just result in a pile of shit. stop whining and stop thinking socal will always just be superior. you're only encouraging weaker players to resign themselves as bad / lazy / casual players forever.

I agree with this actually. I think we need to do more gatherings about improving players. We should do a gathering where one newer/bad player goes up on a set up and then plays like 50 matches in a row against different players for each match, with other players coaching while they play. Like what we did to Dacid that one time he tried GG. I think it would be really be a help to newer players. my 2 cents. Also I went to some random arcade in yokohama tonight ( Game In Seven Islands was its name), and I got raped. No surprise, of course. But damn, the random scrubs there have crazy execution. fuck. Though I think I learned more tonight then I did at the last 3 gatherings. I'll be going to mikado later this week. I will get raped more. I hope to learn from it.
