When Ultimate Mayo comes out, I hope NorCal has an active scene. I hope we can have regular Mayo gatherings so that our Mayo can rival Japan's Mayo.

Fuck Crapcom, we're talking about BB. No offense.

NorCal's biggest issue is having no place to meet up consistently.

Gamecenter, Eudemonia, Southtown, Droms, Spirit Juice, UCSC, SJSU

People are broke, lazy, decentralized, living with parents, schooling and/or don't care. I say the latter. Venues is not the issue anymore. If you're not going to meetups, then you're just being norcal. Speaking of meetups, I'm going to GC right now to play games. Hoping other people will come...

The arrangements for the meetups are almost finalized. And they are WEEKLIES. Nothing this week except dromstruction. Look forward to something next weekend.

I can halfway agree with this post, in seeing that having a venue available is not exactly the real issue at hand, but planning + organization is still the key issue going on. Of course, announcing that youre doing something at the last minute and hoping people come doesn't really do much for those not within an arms reach of the place, either.

Agi has his foot in the right direction though, heres hoping that works out!

Ramnation is an okay place to play since it's located in Fairfield, but the place has very limited space and is only run for about four hours. I can definitely work on running bi-weekly danisens at my house if people want to try danisen out. I'm not 100% sure on how they work, but from what I understand, they sound pretty fun and a good way to track how well someone is doing.

Unfortunately the weekly sessions at GC are pretty much impossible for me. Paying toll both ways plus gas and then food on top of that makes for money I don't have.

I'd really like doing danisens at your place since you're like a 2 minute drive from me (last I checked anyway).

John, thanks for putting up with my scrub at GC tonight. I do want to take BB seriously on Exceed, so I need to more or less master stick by then.

Kinda wish it wasn't a solid 40 minute drive each way though. It's not Sacramento far, but it's still annoying.

I don't have any idea what danisen is, but I'm willing to give it a go. Meetups at your place is about the closest thing I'm going to get until Tofurr's A-1 comics casuals get started.

From my understanding, a danisen is a sort of ranking system. The way it works is that you're put into groups of like 4-6. A match starts and the person that wins keeps going till they lose or get enough points to go up to the next ranking.

And I'll start bringing a set-up with me once a month on a yet to be determined Sunday starting November from when they open till 5 PM. Promise!

Ok, so I have an idea. Weekly someone in Norcal should create a player match room on XBL and/or PSN for BB so local players and practice with one another. While it is online, it's better than nothing.

Well as far as my experiences go playing online with local people, the connection seems to be pretty good. As long as they're actually around norcal and aren't using dial-up or something .-.

I agree with this idea. Only problem, is the lag might be atrocious for me. Anytime I've ever tried to play online, it's been absolutely unplayable. I do get the occasional match with good lag, so hopefully it's a geographic issue.

So why did hardly anyone from the BB bay area scene show up for Dromstruction? I don't buy the "too poor" excuse when Dacid showed up and he's one of the poorest people I know.
