Gamecenter, Eudemonia, Southtown, Droms, Spirit Juice, UCSC, SJSU People are broke, lazy, decentralized, living with parents, schooling and/or don't care. I say the latter. Venues is not the issue anymore. If you're not going to meetups, then you're just being norcal. Speaking of meetups, I'm going to GC right now to play games. I can halfway agree with this post, in seeing that having a venue available is not exactly the real issue at hand, but planning + organization is still the key issue going on. Of course, announcing that youre doing something at the last minute and hoping people come doesn't really do much for those not within an arms reach of the place, either. Agi has his foot in the right direction though, heres hoping that works out!

I can definitely work on running bi-weekly danisens at my house if people want to try danisen out. I'm not 100% sure on how they work, but from what I understand, they sound pretty fun and a good way to track how well someone is doing. Unfortunately the weekly sessions at GC are pretty much impossible for me. Paying toll both ways plus gas and then food on top of that makes for money I don't have.

I'd really like doing danisens at your place since you're like a 2 minute drive from me (last I checked anyway).

I do want to take BB seriously on Exceed, so I need to more or less master stick by then. Kinda wish it wasn't a solid 40 minute drive each way though. It's not Sacramento far, but it's still annoying.

The way it works is that you're put into groups of like 4-6. A match starts and the person that wins keeps going till they lose or get enough points to go up to the next ranking. And I'll start bringing a set-up with me once a month on a yet to be determined Sunday starting November from when they open till 5 PM. Promise!

I agree with this idea. Only problem, is the lag might be atrocious for me. Anytime I've ever tried to play online, it's been absolutely unplayable. I do get the occasional match with good lag, so hopefully it's a geographic issue.
