KBnova Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Aight Pat this SLASH is on FIYA!!! Imma practice shitloads tonight and figure out some cool stuff for Slash Zappa, fresh for me since I never really used him in that one but I do know one thing,...his dog is balanced. Dog has pushback like in Accent Crap but also has a BIGGER pushback on 6D and much more difficult to set up corner traps ~ strings but is very possible but not as often like in AC. His Sword is actually pretty good though and the range recovery is much better in this than AC. For example you can set out 2HS with sword but as soon as it recovers you can throw out another 2HS right after. All I know is he makes sense in this one definitely and his spacing tool/air game are great! He is solid but not broke, the way he should be.
NagorbMan Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 I posted this on the Cyberground tournament topic also, but the Maryland thread seemed appropriate too. I'm planning on going to Cyberground and setting up Guilty Gear and BlazBlue on Friday Night. I'll probably be there around 7:30-7:45ish. I was also planning on buying pizza for whoever shows up. We don't have to only play those games, and I'm halfway wishing that 4r5 will come and bring Chaos Breaker so I can try it out (and probably like it). Also, I remember someone saying something like the CRT broke a while back, does anyone know anything about that? If it is indeed broken and not replaced I can bring my TV for Guilty Gear.
Abominable K Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Their spare CRT is broken. I'd like to show up for GG Friday, but I'll probably be busy.

4r5 Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 these vids can't be sbo. too many bad plays
Tarnish Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Define: "bad plays". "Would Ian do this?"
4r5 Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 No one is thinking more than two steps ahead. Too many players deciding to go all-in, and more than once, at that. At SBO, I hope players aren't thinking it's worth risking one round, out of their two rounds, to score maaybe a third of their opponent's life. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11747283 ZA vs PO first round. -ZA nabs an airthrow and OTG summons, then.. jumps? Why? Stay on the ground you nimrod. -PO PBusters ZA in corner, ZA going to die, ZA can either use his burst or save his burst for next round. If you ask me, he should of saved his burst. He was too far in the whole, and he didn't have a bead on his opponent, or any momentum, that entire round. Aside from the random airthrow at the start of the round, he spent the rest of the round making bad plays and mistakes: Jumping when he shouldn't be jumping, not evading the slidehead, and next: the bad burst. But he doesn't want that airthrow to die in vain, so he decides to go for the burst. Alright, but not only does he decide to go for the burst, he goes for a bad burst. So PO FRC's the PBuster and gets the 2S for free. Then what does ZA do? He does a panic burst on the first possible frame. He just threw away his burst, he didn't want it. If he wanted any chance of avenging that random airthrow he needed to put a little bit more thought into his burst. PO gets the 2S for free, next you wait. If he cancels to HeatKnuckle, you burst the startup. If he cancels to 2HS, you wait for the FRC point to leave then burst. If you miss the burst on 2HS, it's ok, he's not dead yet. To follow up the 2HS, PO has to HammerFall>Break, then jump up for the air PBuster. ZA's last chance to burst is on the startup of air PBuster. And if he misses that burst, it's still ok. He shouldn't of been bursting anyways. The airthrow wasn't worth avenging. Do I need to go on to the next round, where ZA does a blind runup summon? Or the next match where RO and SL totally don't look like they're playing seriously. Or the next match where the ZA player is literally running into SL's fists? Or the final match with RO vs OR, where the RO player feels he should be jumping?
