Hey I just had a thought. If we get more than 2 characters, where will they fit? I know they are gonna fill those spots next to Ash

They will probably just adjust the screen so they can fit everyone in. Or do what they did in Neowave where you just press and hold a certain button on specific character portraits and it flips over to another character.

so, where is a good site to go to learn the game mechanics for xiii, considering that an arcade got the game and i want to learn it before it hits consoles

Hey I know it was a noobie question but I was a bit curious. Anyway it makes sense Billy would get his fatal fury 1 outfit also we are getting new stages too? Awesome, also am I the only one who doesn't want iori98? Despite having flames and a completely different moveset 2 Ioris seems like a waste

Well, i don't particularly want flames Iori either, but i figure it's probably efficient(not the same workload as a fully "new" character) and fine. It's sort of like if they added Shermie, Yashiro, and Chris, I'd want the Orochi versions of them because it'd be both efficient in terms of spritework and they would add more to the game since they're different enough.

I like the new Iori.

I miss classic Maiden Masher, but that's about it.

Adelheid. The number one character I feel should be in this game. I mean really, like you said Rose is still around. What happened to him. Plus he's hard, and very cool.

Put Angel back in while you're at it. Screw Billy Kane.

Good news for European fans, at least.

I was skeptical about new Iori and Ralf at first, but I've actually come to like them a lot more than the old versions.

If the 97 New Faces team is added, I'd actually prefer to see them only have 1 hybridized form instead of normal and orochi versions. Mostly for Shermie (who has always been behind the curve gameplaywise and frankly should just have her movelist completely blown up and redone, for the most part), but it also always seemed strange that Yashiro has speed-type moves when he's supposed to be the powerhouse, Chris's moves look like they belong to Chizuru, etc.

Just some ideas off the top of my head:

Yashiro:

Keep 2002UM normal/command moves (common to both forms), normal Yashiro's guardpoint uppercut and spammy punches, O. Yashiro's command grabs (the 1-frame and the launcher) and maybe his 2002UM ground pound, Final Impact (EX possible, Max-cancelable) and leaping grab DM (works like Vice's air DM), and either give him a brand new Neomax or use O. Yashiro's laser punch

Chris:

Keep 2002UM normal/command moves (common to both forms), normal Chris's sideswitch and dive kick and speedy lunge (one button for the high punch, one button for low kick), O. Chris's DP and kick dance, slaps DM (same properties as Mature's Nocturnal Rites) and Dark Orochi Nagi (same properties as Kyo's but no EX), brand new Neomax (maybe something like a burst of purple flame similar to Shen Woo's CABC, hitting with it follows up with Orochi's Bright Light)

Shermie:

Keep 2002UM O. Shermie's normal/command moves (as much as I love seeing Shermie's titty throw, it's pretty dumb), normal Shermie's dashing grab and dodge and maybe counter, O. Shermie's 2002UM lightning strike, something new (maybe a decent antiair?), lightning cannon drill DM (EX possible, Max-cancelable, anywhere juggle) and maybe a new DM, either O. Shermie's HSDM or something new for Neomax

All those things you described, completely turned off anything remotely enjoyable about the New Faces. They have different move sets for a reason. Leave them the way they are, but since they won't make it into the game anyway its a moot point altogether.

Yeah I'm not expecting anyone entirely built from the ground up either. I think we are only getting Iori98 after Billy. And 2 Ioris is kind of redundant I'd rather have almost anyone else

There was a servey a while back asking a bunch of questions about characters people would want to see. I personally said Maylee Angel and Vanessa.

I doubt it's just those two. Between KOF12 console and 13 arcade, they added like 9 characters and fixed the incomplete characters. The time between KOF13 arcade and console is even longer.

Of course, as long as they are complete! Hopefully they also do some rebalancing to the console port and add more moves to the current characters that were previously missing.

Nerf Raiden's dropkick. That is all I want for balancing really. And yeah hopefully the new characters are complete and we won't get a trainwreck like Liz and Mature in 12

I don't care much about nerfing anyone.. I just want all characters to feel more complete.

What do you particularly have in mind for adding back moves? I'm mainly thinking of Mai getting her [2]8p options back instead of just the dive. Athena having away teleports would be nice too.

and for nerfs..yeah, i really just want raiden's dropkick nerfed. Maybe k' could get a damage nerf or something like that but I don't care about that nearly as much.

Probably unlikely that they will rebalance things, aside from fixing any bugs that might come up from console-exclusive characters. If by some chance they do, it'll likely be a short list of changes, like going from the initial 2002UM to Tougeki version...I wouldn't expect anything more drastic than making level 3/4 dropkick slightly negative on block and possibly less capable of guard crushing.

And a look at another stage (OMFG Lily is in the background <3 I'd prefer her over Billy :3)

Also apparently the console version will have over 30 characters!? One of which is only being offered as a pre-order bonus DLC (at least in Japan, no US details but we're likely to get a similar treatment)
