@Partialartist - I'm not too fond of that "gimmick", you're sacrificing damage and 25 heat for a reset. The meter is better spent on the more damaging combos or the better ice resets off 3C > 236D near the corner. That's my opinion at least, good job thinking outside the box though.

I'm inclined to agree. Anyway, instead of doing a single jump combo into j.D > j.236D, doing a double jump combo into just j.D does the same thing. No need to use the heat. Less running, too.

It's supposed to be corner combos off 623B starter. Some of the moves he didn't put into Jump notation, so it's a bit confusing.

6C>214C (whiff) which crosses them up if they tech backwards and puts you right next to them.

I'd probably go for a single 214C. But you really shouldn't be using ice arrow as a reversal unless they're practically dead and you don't want them to burst or something, and you also know you'll hit because they whiffed.

can someone tell me how to do reversal off of Instant Block for Jin?

You just have to input 623 C/D right after you IB. It's easier said than done of course, since there's probably a really small window (depending on the opponent's attack) for entering the input.

some situation is bad for IB-ing too so remember what moves you Ib'ed..., like if you IB'ed ragna 2B, pretty much it could be a frame trap to 3C and your DP won't come out but you'll get hit instead

im trying to implement IB's into my defense now, i've seen ppl online do an IB counter that takes 50% heat, and it throws the opponent off of you like a green burst

From what I can see, you're not talking about IB > Punish but more of Counter Assaults. You simply have to block and press Forward A+B, it takes 50% heat. IBing does not take away any heat.

i tried it earlier, from what i could tell it was IB > 236 A + B + C. it works. maybe i am doing to much without realising it.

You don't have to IB though, you simply press Forward A+B. GGs back there, there is one glaring habit that you tend to go for and that is 5C > 6C > DP B. Learn to hit-confirm 5C CHs instead of throwing around 5C > 6C at random.

Oh and that combo you wanted is 5B > 5C > Sekka-Jin > DP B > 6C > 6D > IAD > j.2C > j.C > (dashing) 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C > 236D.

If it wasn't for Moi, I'd be totally lost. Seeing as how you're pressing A B C at the same time, that made me think of an RC. Edited by J-KT21

thanks for the combo, about my habit, it comes from playing really offensive players so i usually get my 5C > 6C connect, i think hit confirming is pretty solid on my end, but i freeze up because i always second guess whether an attack lands or not.

my button set up wasnt configured at the time, so the only button combination set up was A B C for R2. sorry for the confusion

I assume that your 6D whiffs after 6C, that's because you're way too close to the corner. The only character that gets hit with 6D no matter how close to the corner you might be is Bang. I have 2 alternative combos for you:

1. Forward Throw > 623B > 6C > DC > j.C > JC > j.2C > j.D > (land) 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C.

2. Forward Throw > 623B > 6C > DC > sJC > j.C > j.D > Air Dash > j.2C > j.C > (dashing) 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C. This one does more damage than the one you mentioned (a 7 point difference to be exact lol).

You can also do forward throw (first hit) > sekkajin. I'm sure sekkajin will push you back so if you choose to use 6C > 6D it should hit.

I haven't tested it against every character but I don't see how or why it wouldn't work on the entire cast.

forward throw>623B>6C>6D>stuff works on everyone if you delay 6C and 6D like you would for 6C>623B>6C>6D

Are you sure about that? I'm positive that a 6C after a 623B must be done as quick as possible, or it'll whiff.

For 6C > 623B > 6C > 6D you're delaying the 623B right?
