Hey guys I'm back. I was tied for 5th with 3 other people at SB:R. Lost both of my matches to Zidane in my pool. Sometimes you just don't get in the lucky pool :\

But..... I did pull off a perfect on Zidane just for Dacidbro. Also somehow I managed to use Dacid's atrocious color throughout the entire tournament without eyebleed and reached legendary trolling success when someone asked me if I was the real Dacid from California. Mission fucking accomplished.

Also beat LordKnight in a set in casuals (lost two other sets). All in all a great weekend.

I've never played againist Zidane so i can't comment, but i heard he is pretty decent too.

In the set I won I landed airgrab -> daifunka twice. Freaking salt mine exploded.

Speaking of salt mines I was afraid to give any advice to 10stars cause I swear I thought the dude hated my guts and wanted to beat me up but my answer to your "i dont know what to do against Bang when he just neutral techs and mashes 5A" is dont let me tech. go for oki finishers man. Also whenever I don't go for oki finishers and I predict a neutral tech I usually just jump over it and j4B to get my pressure back .I don't just sit there and try to 5A them myself and hope i hit the button first. thats just dumb.

Also I wasn't mashing 5A I was punishing your whiffs. Only need to hit that A button once dawg that shits about timing.

Also x2 Valk tackle is so free, time to stop learning matchups on PSN.

edit: most epic moment against Zidane was when I IB'd 5B 3C and thinking I'd go for the punish he did Jabaki which I also IBd, and then in desperation he did RC 5D which I also IBd. I then proceeded to mistime my d.5B. lol

Nah, i was in a mood since I lost my first match. I was telling you to stop mashing because it's the reason you lost to zidane and LK, when you play them so much it literally forces you to stop going for the random 5a pokebacks.

I switched to valk and completely forgot the idea of actually doing anything besides day one mixup.

I was also in a pissy mood because the brackets were ran like shit, for instance - you shouldn't have had to play Zidane twice in pools, it's double jeopardy in a tournament, and after beating me you should have went straight to top8 instead of playing Zidane, and it was bull shit. But Zinac is an idiot and doesn't know how to run brackets.

And lol no, you definitely have the advantage in matchup experience against bang, however - against litchi and hazama you have years of playing to catch up. But overall minus the mashing you have solid execution, mixup wise not so much and definitely not pressure wise.

Absolutely no hate towards anyone at the tournament whatsoever though, skip that thought :p I was just tired of seeing so many bangs, especially since in CT i was one of like 3 bangs at every tournament.

I've been talking to everyone about it recently, how the character love in games is like dead, and now it's simply teir rolling, not saying that you're doing it though, I believe you were playing bang in CT?

Meanwhile in Europe...schoolwork, starcraft 2, and my housemates playing on my PS3 all the time. Hopefully there'll be something of note here sometime this year before I see you guys at Evo again, but until then there's not much fightan gaems goin on. :<

Haha Zidane has some nuts on him to call someone who perfected him a scrub. I was his closest match other than LK. Jetm did much worse than me against him in top 4.

But idc he's a good player, it's just sad to see good players that are bad people but I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was trolling cause he seemed like a cool guy.

And 10stars I was 5aing you cause you were doing stuff that I could punish with 5A. 5A is a punish tool and 5B is for spacing. If someone is constantly doing punishable stuff (for you it was mostly trying to 5A my neutral airtech and I'd just neutral tech late right through it and punish the whiff) you'll see more 5A than 5B. Zidane rarely did unsafe things so there was very little 5A from me in that match. Of course when I play against people that play that well I usually play TOO defensively and end up missing opportunities.

So I got home 30 minutes ago and saw this. Several things:

1) Are you seriously implying perfecting someone one round in a set is a huge achievement? Especially with a char where if you guess wrong 2-3 times you can lose? That's pretty cool man. Props to you.

2) You were not my closest match other than LK. Can you please not say things about other people that you don't know? Thanks. Also JetM didn't do much worse than you and actually was my toughest opponent besides LK.

3) I'm a bad person for calling you a scrub? Is that how it works?

So i'm going to be honest. I was pretty nervous when I found out my first opponent was a random ( aka someone I don't know or heard of ) Bang player. Didn't wanna get put on blast first round. And then I played you in casuals without knowing it was you.

You're nothing special. I'm sorry if that hurts or i'm "being a dick" but it's pretty honest. You push a lot of buttons at times where not only is it dumb to push buttons, but like.. I'M HALF A SCREEN AWAY. You're not bad but you're not really good. So yeah, when Biscuits called me or I called him because he knew my first match was a random Bang, I probably did call you a bang scrub. Sorry? It's pretty accurate though.

I'm pretty sure I am a cool guy. I try to help out anyone that needs help or asked me for any advice all weekend. I didn't know having opinions makes me a bad person though.
