GenoWhirl Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 They have to save it for March when you would start to doubt. Fuck. They always make me wait for the goodies
zeth07 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 So out of all them series listed or I guess in the most recent game, who is the "Big Bad", like the absolute most bad ass bad guy between all the series that's within the game? Or is there just too many series and too many bad guys to say 1 is above the rest? And I'm speaking literally like story-wise not just opinion-wise. Or is there a game exclusive bad guy that ends up being the end boss that's not even in those series? Or is it just impossible to answer due to too much bad assery? I've heard of some of the games/animes, but I definitely don't know enough to understand any of the last few pages in this thread. It definitely sounds awesome and looked awesome from the few games I've seen in the past.

Very rarely, sometimes other series will get tied in (I think one game had Sirocco from Zeta piloting an original unit, Valcione, and I think Shapiro from Dancougar got to be close if not an endboss). In Z2-2/Z3 though, I wonder how they'll top the anti-spiral? Or if they'll cross the original enemies with it.

HolyOrderChipp Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 So Z2 is PSP only? That's annoying. Not that I would be much more able to play it on PS2, but at least I have a PS2 that I could theoretically mess with to play Japanese games on. Also, damn, OG3 being the PS3 one disappoints me. I mean, I suppose that means it might make it over here, but... I want me some HD G Gundam!
rei-Scarred Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 you guys need to play zhp. hands down the manliest game ever made
Reioumu Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 you guys need to play zhp. hands down the manliest game ever made nah zhp isn't the manliest, but it is a great game that teaches you how to be a stalkerhero like Piro.

HolyOrderChipp Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Er, yeah, I just got that impression reading stuff. I don't actually know or anything. It'd be nice for it to be a non-OG game, because while it'd be Japanese-only, we could still play it on American PS3s, which would rock. (Also who isn't weaboo enough to be learning Japanese these days. I mean seriously. Moonspeak shouldn't be a huge issue. Disclaimer: I do not know Japanese and will not until I get around to it.)
Reioumu Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 OG games have a higher chance having official translations. Just FYI...
TD Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 dear bang players, why is mashing 5a so gdlk. why does it seem to hit where it shouldn't? why are scrubs winning games with just a simple button press... then calling themselves greatness? oh bang players, l mean you no disrespect, truly, but my mind has an insatiable curiousity... yes, lt want to know, why is bang's 5a so gdlk?
Justice7541 Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 It's a 5A with a decent hitbox that happens to hit crouching and jump-ins pretty well. That's really about it.
Dacidbro Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 dear bang players, why is mashing 5a so gdlk. why does it seem to hit where it shouldn't? why are scrubs winning games with just a simple button press... then calling themselves greatness? oh bang players, l mean you no disrespect, truly, but my mind has an insatiable curiousity... yes, lt want to know, why is bang's 5a so gdlk? That's actually really funny, because Rachel's 5A is almost as good in everything but damage and whiff (And the whiff is pretty comparable) His 5A is good because he would not function as a character if it wasn't (evidenced in CT) They just screwed up on the damage.

I hardly think 5A was the reason he wasn't good in CT. I had some other stuff typed out, but before I get ahead of myself, I'll let you explain: what all exactly changed from CT to CS? I'm sure I know some stuff, but I'd rather hear it from you. Frames? Hitbox? Proration? The hitting more crouchers and damage isn't really relevant in my opinion based on what he could already do in CT.
Master Bigode Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 His bad match ups in CT were mostly characters he couldn't 5A while crouching.

Because mashing it isn't. Whenever I decide to autopilot it vs a good player, always blows up in my face. Ibing 5a is on the other hand. It's pretty much why it's really good.
Ragnarok Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Because mashing it isn't. That. Exactly that. Mashing 5A doesnt work so good. But when you're playing with it like a surgeon, it's awesome. Guy could be crouching, jumping, recovering, doing silly stuff, the 5A of god will catch it. And as Dacid said, damage from it is stupid good in any of those situations ;X
Dacidbro Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I hardly think 5A was the reason he wasn't good in CT. Hitbox? Proration? The hitting more crouchers and damage isn't really relevant in my opinion based on what he could already do in CT. The hitbox is the most important change. However, I'm going to be quite honest, I was never good in CT. My memory of CT Bang is probably quite tarnished with how bad I was, so I might have mentally exaggerated how much worse it actually was. In my memory, all the matchups where his 5A couldn't hit crouching were just awful (Tao, Carl, Jin?.. maybe Rachel? It's been too long, I can't remember which ones they were, just that I felt so crippled in them). It felt like his mix up was unable to exist, past burning huge amounts of resources on it.
huey253 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 here is one hint. Bang can't do blockstrings in CT (you always lose at the end)
Lord Cruxis Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 here is one hint. Bang can't do blockstrings in CT (you always lose at the end) But what about that 5a, 5b, 2b, D-nail x n block string? I mean sure it was limited, but I'm sure that counted.
Dacidbro Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 5A whiffed on crouching on half the cast, so you couldn't use it against them, and it was incredibly crippling.
zeth07 Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 5A whiffed on crouching on half the cast, so you couldn't use it against them, and it was incredibly crippling. It was really only like 1/3rd of the cast. I remember checking because the same conversation came up before. I'm almost positive it was like 8 out of 12 that it actually hit.
