zeth07 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 If I make a conscious effort to record my Bang gameplay (Not specially selected gameplay. Just casual ol' me) Will some of you promise to just rip me to shreds for everything I do wrong? I feel like I've hit a plateau with Bang, so someone needs to shout my ass back into gear. As long as you don't get mad at people when they critique you and actually take people's advice and put it into motion, then I'm sure people will help. The other thing would be to not make random excuses for why you did something after people critique you for whatever that may be. I just feel like sometimes people like to waste your time with this kinda stuff when you're trying to help them and they don't listen to a word you say. But hopefully you aren't one of those people, lol.

Realistically, you can't tell what the player is thinking when you see something, so sometimes during critique, a proper explanation is needed on the behalf of the one being critiqued. It's an exchange of information, not American Idol.
Linear04 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 i think he's talking about shit like "oh i didnt do x at the time because i wasnt playing my best, you can ignore that" x n up to "wwhat do you take me for a scrub? of course i know to do X move, it was just netplay/hands/sweat/my cat" which just causes mad

tuka Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Can someone list a 4 seal combo against Lambda? or is it universal?
Dreiko Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) Shoutouts to people who know kaeru means frog XD come to montreal and fite with us ! Sorry man, university started again and I live in CT so I can't come over there that easily, if you have extend I'll netplay you though. :DCan someone list a 4 seal combo against Lambda? or is it universal? From a 2D starter it's universal, it's like 2D JD 2369C JD 2369C 5D Edited January 27, 2012 by Dreiko
Dreiko Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Do you have one from 5A or throw? 5A is 3 seals max I think unless you use gold bursts or rapids, just do the above combo minus the 2d, throw prorates kinda horribly anyways so I haven't really looked into those.

Dreiko Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I'm talking about CSE, you can 4 seal form jab. Maybe it's corner only or something, midscreen I've only seemed to 3 of em.
zeth07 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I'm talking about CSE, you can 4 seal form jab. *5A>5B>2B>6C>j.D>Web Nail>Web Nail>d.6D>j.D>Web Nail>5D = [1,919] / 4 Seals *Throw>Air Dash>j.4C>Web Nail>6D>j.D>Web Nail>j.D>Web Nail>5D As for whether they work on Lambda, I have no idea since I don't have CSE. I would assume so since she doesn't seem to be one of the ones with a messed up hitbox like a few others.
YukiBlue Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Naw I'm talking about: 1) Post Gameplay 2) Receive Strongly worded, Honest but constructive criticism 3) Listen, Take note, Learn I don't make excuses, I just want to get better. IMO this is the best way.
Linear04 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 bang is soooo derp now lol did a 3cfc>2b>5d and did some random shit inbetween that resulted in a mid combo jd into pickup into knockdown ender for like 3.7k i made the combo up on the spot and was going WTF while i was doing it too also i was in FRKZ, managed to hit hakumen yukikaze with jb and somehow made it whiff and got it to cancel into jd wtf haha many laughs were had today, this character is so fraudulent
StayFree( ' 3') Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 *5A>5B>2B>6C>j.D>Web Nail>Web Nail>d.6D>j.D>Web Nail>5D = [1,919] / 4 Seals *Throw>Air Dash>j.4C>Web Nail>6D>j.D>Web Nail>j.D>Web Nail>5D As for whether they work on Lambda, I have no idea since I don't have CSE. That aside, gotta say I've been wondering...is there a way not to get 4 seals on hazama?? I mean seriously... 2A 2A 5B 2B 6C j.D Cnail 6D Cnail 6D Cnail 5D might as well just start the match with four seals.
Dacidbro Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Fraudulent? Against actual top players (see Japan), no. Stay free, that combo should work against Tao too, IIRC.
General Heinz Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Joining the ranks of the Bang mains. I currently suck dick at this game though so I'll be needing all your help. Basically right now the only combo I can do is 5A>5B>2B>6C>j.D>236C>5C>6D. My question is this: How the fuck am I supposed to get out of a blockstring when the opponent actually knows what the hell they're doing? It's not that I can't see openings it's that I don't really know what Bang's best options are to get out of pressure against the various characters so I end up like spamming 5D or some shit and even getting fucked up with guard point. Soooo basically this is just a scrub post asking for help not being scrubby

Soooo basically this is just a scrub post asking for help not being scrubby Well Bang isn't blessed with the godliest of DPs so you're generally going to spend meter and evade wisely. Generally speaking, Counter Assault (guard cancel), as well as his attacking supers all have invincibility. Backdashing at the right moments can help as well. Learn to instant block. It will get you way more meter over time to use these options. Instant blocking to 6d or a super when done right can be a great tool if the opponent leaves enough space!
YukiBlue Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Instant Blocking xD - Risky, But it can really be worth it Meter (Ashura / CA) Keep blocking until they get frustrated and try to grab you Out of them all, it's say instant blocking helps the most.
Linear04 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 honestly with the primer nerf on counter assaults i would argue that theyre really bad for bang, considering he has ashura with meter and 6d>teleport without it on ib
destruction_adv Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I'd agree with Linear, but I'd also like to add that against certin characters, barrier can be the way to go too. Also, rember that 6D should be used sparingly, in my experience, it can be easy to punish in many cases. Of course, I haven't played CSE yet, so that may not be true any more.
YukiBlue Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Then again, Forget all this Counter assault, Specific Drive timing ect. Just go Spark Jr and practice practice practice blocking EVERYTHING.
Linear04 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 and then get command grabbed wwwww 6d loses to jump cancel normals and overheads so you should know when to do it or not when in doubt chicken block
General Heinz Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Thanks for the tips. I've just been getting beat up on netplay the past few days and it's started to reinforce better habits, even though they're kind of basic. I bet if I just remembered that 6C's gonna miss every time I'd lose way less >.< Also, what's the best thing to follow up with on the RC'd command grab? And did I hear Dacid started in smash? Who do you main? (not to go off-top or anything--so p.s. Bang is very manly harhar)
DaiAndOh Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 There was a time where it felt everyone who posted in this thread started in smash lol.
