Zeero Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 to be completely honest, I think ky is a very good character for people to learn the game with. Hes kinda boring because its repetitive, but he teaches very good fundamentals because his whole game is like, knockdown -> pressure+mixups. While hes not top tier enough to do ridiculous shit to get you random wins, he does decent damage (if you know the combos), has a decent poking/keepaway game with fireballs and his jHS/jS/5S/2HS stuffs, and has an awesome anti air for people jumping in. Basically he has everything a character should have, plays a very standard way where you need to learn when to attack/block/run/reversal uppercuts, that imo a player should learn before you branch off to playing more specialized characters. just IMO tho.

This game only has 2 tiers, the ones (above) who practically rapes everybody below them and has a good chance against each other no matter how you play (aka, bullshit). And everyone else who even when played perfectly, has a bad matchup against the above characters, and only even/good matchups against each other. However, in the common world, ky is mid tier.

K2 Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) pick one of the following for the coming 2months, and after we approve ur skill, you can switch to wtever u want. sol (vv, anti air, pressure, pokes, air to ground, ground to ground, speed, dmg, command throw, oki, high low, everything. you learn how to get in, and u learn how to punlish unsafe with vv. and learn how ppl bait u out and eat 50% combo) ky (refer to pui post) dizzy (you learn how to run, anti air, throw, u learn the power of oki, set ups ,trick throw and bait ppl from ur game, and make a bunch of shit to cover you. but u will die fast) faust (same as above, but u die slower, and i guarantee now you will bomb urself and die someday ) DO NOT PICK THE FOLLOWING johnny bridget robo chipp NOT TOO RECOMMANDED, come back after 2 month Venom ( You need to MAIN THIS guy and put in ALOT OF WORK, so is not a good stepping stone for you.) zappa (he is random and you need a lot of main fundamentals to safe this little man, but he is ok to play) i-no (training mode training mode and more training mode, if you can she is fine. but i am telling you, she is hard) baiken (she won't teach you how to block in this game. i say no) axl (you won't learn how to block and how to attackcuz u will be busy pressing button trying to poke and zone away, u think u know wt u are doing but u really don't, just pressing buttons.) anji (you will never win until u understand the power of wind god fuujin, and all ur match ups are bad for u ) aba (she doesn't teach u anything cuz she can do wtever she wants, if u can get into mode before being K.O) NOW YOU HAVE THE TOP TIERs left testament eddie slayer millia may jam pot hos but u know wt, just pick sol or ky and put in 2 month, is worth it, better then wasting a yr and get no where Edited February 7, 2011 by K2

"Holy shit, I don't know wt to do against him!" on the other hand, if you are playing against a pro Ky, the effect will be... "OMG, I can't do anything against him!" so ya, if you still don't understand I will leave it to the real writer to explain. I can only talk like that.
