Good games though, I played like 5 different people and the practice is paying off, I'm starting to get all these combos off pretty consistently. Now I need to learn harder ones to do in a match. For the newcomers: Kevin, DJ, Tevin and Steve, I hope you all continue to make it out, good seeing new faces in the ANIMU GAMES scene. I was planning on coming out yesterday with Jimmy but I ended up having a surprise date night with the fiance'. I def plan on coming out more though. I was talking a tiny bit with Jon (TsumujiAZ) about getting BB at the next Ranbatz season. He pretty much said he would be willing to have it we would just need some people step up and bring set ups and run the brackets etc.

You think I would have learned this lesson by now, but fighting games are hard. D: Understandable just was thinking it would be nice to get the whole community together instead of games like marvel getting all the hype. The worst thing you can do with UMvC3 heads, from my experience, is to put something that's not UMvC3 in front of them. If this actually happens, I would have no problem helping running brackets and all, but just don't expect much in the way of crossover from other games.

You'll become enlightened once you get that one down.

It looks like I haven't totally forgotten everything with Tsubaki, but I need to relearn how to apply it. My initial impression of Kokonoe is that her setups aren't broken (except for that stupid overdrive with the epic Dark Angel meteor), but her damage potential is. She just gets way too much damage for what she does. Her unblockable is pretty silly, I guess, but I didn't think it was broken in and of itself. Her pressure might also be a bit too strong, but it's hard to say for sure based on my one day of exposure.

There's more stups out there, and the one he was using wasn't being confirmed correctly. Give him time and Ted will body us all. I'll cry once he can confirm into 4k minimum off everything and TOD in the corner. That corner "setup" is broken by the way. It isn't something you can escape from unless you are one of a select few characters (like Azrael ). It's just one long touch of death combo that resets proration in the middle. edit: I'm glad that we all get good experience with her though! She's fun to play against and it would suck to go into a tourney not knowing what to do.

She came out well after I stopped playing Blaz, I'm interested but I don't know what her playstyle is at all. Regardless of her bullshit, I still think Kokonoe is one of the coolest characters in the series with a nice design. Kokonoe is cool...but what happened to Jubei? They should have made him playable a long time ago

Altho I'm not sure how the Kokonoe Hype Train feels now with all this newfound knowledge/tech.

Rei-Inari Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Plat is a balanced character with good mix-up tools and mobility, but her combos are very situational and dependent what item she currently has at her disposal ( her drive ability.) Her damage is rather lacking compared to much of the cast and she has poor defensive options, and her items that she gets from her drive are randomly generated.
