Should've responded to this earlier but do you have the dual modding schematics? I bought the chuthulu(however it's spelled) and the imp separately. I have some pics but I don't know if they're right. I remember one I downloaded I think had one wire connection that was wrong. Do you have any picture of the connections required?

Yeah I have one that uses the chimp and one for the separate boards. I'll pm you when I get home with how it should be set up.

Yeah, I already have like 4 friends that I play with all the time and I've started playing with Crosell as well. I've also been thinking about trying to start a fighting game club at LMC but I'm not sure how that would work out. Anyways, hit me up if you ever want to play.

Oh, btw, this is random but, does anyone remember the Honnou gathering awhile back (I think it was PNW actually), someone drove me and Tenkai to go pick up percival (MadTeaParty). Who was the person driving? We were like listening to "Love and Roll" LOL...

You mean SO FREE.

The YT comments are pretty funny.

I love the dude who said you were a shitty Ragna because you always do the 'same shitty combo and mix-up'.

I suck at this game and even I'm not that blind. =(

Also, Rin. The reason why I changed the screen scaling to version B is because the sprites are stretched as fuck on the TV and it looks awful on that TV. I know it sucks on your end (although tiny black bars isn't really that big of a deal), but stretched out sprites on a TV can mess up some players when they play. When I play, I usually want everything to be perfect so that's why I made the change.

Its stretched by like.. 4 more pixels lol. When you type b it the zoom out causes loss of quality because I have to zoom in. I was gonna tell you to just get chuns remote so we could just fit to screen instead of doing that but you just started the match... also it wasn't centered anymore. I dunno how an inch of headroom could give advantage, unless you're like needy for visual timing after Houtenjin or something... :v:

Anyways the match is over so who cares.

Well, stretched sprites can affect a lot of players, like I said. It may not affect you that much, but it can affect other players and throw them off. It's just something to keep in mind for next time. For example, the PSOne port of ST is a relatively perfect port except for sprite stretching. Evo opted to switch it out for CCC2's ST due to this, but CCC2's ST had some input lag problems. Ultimately, they had to go back to the PSOne port despite the sprite stretching... but the only difference between that situation and our situation is that we can actually do something about the sprite stretching.

If you guys get like a meet up going I'd probably drive out if you posted like a day ahead of time since I live like 15min away. Can give you some valk/tsubaki/litchi xp lol.

That'd be cool, especially since I've already met you at the Clocktower tourny. I might try to have some kinda small gathering sometime soon just to see who in the near by are plays.

huh? ps1 port is ass.

dreamcast port is like 99% perfect, the sprites are slightly taller (but that's due to overscan or lack thereof, not the game's fault really) and the timing on round start is always at turbo 1.

PS1 port is what they used at Evo before they switched to HDR.

SO I wanna see some 2v2s thrown into this gathering at some point. It makes for some hype shit and it makes everyone get to know each other a bit better. Plus team names would be pretty funny too for instance, I'd wanna team with Nate so we can be team "Big Bitches" :3

But on a more constructive note, I was thinking that we could either do 2v2s as a side event at the usual ranbats OR alternate each month between singles and 2v2s. Singles are hype, but when someone OCVs the other team from near loss, people fucking shit their pants with hype!

Posted

That would be fun, but would be rather time consuming do you think? These events already run pretty late as is.

Posted

Thats why I mainly suggested it as an alternate to the usual ranbats. Not make AS serious with all the ranking crap and just fuck around for a while. Newer players can get into the scene while veteran players can make some hype! 2v2s should be in no way as serious as Singles. We can make it like the SVGL 2v2 monthlies we used to do, smaller entry fee, less risk, get paired up randomly and cause some chaos!

And Nate, Big Bitches are going all the way to the top! My Valk is UNBEATABLE and I don't even have a PS3!
