Ayumu Gardevoir Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Anyone else notice that Charlotte (Val and Rave's elite armored unit) could be a spoof of Leopladon in a sense?
creeping shadow Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Anyone else notice that Charlotte (Val and Rave's elite armored unit) could be a spoof of Leopladon in a sense? Yeah, I comment on it whenever I summon it to bug my friend.
Zazz Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 ok this april's fools patch is just odd now damage seems wonky on a whole bunch of things and the running course is open on the witch village stage during normal matches wtf is going on? could someone translate the pdf on the gg2nd.jp, cuz i think that may shed some light on this weirdness. ALSO GIANT FROGS
Lou_Cypher Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 ok this april's fools patch is just odd now damage seems wonky on a whole bunch of things and the running course is open on the witch village stage during normal matches wtf is going on? could someone translate the pdf on the gg2nd.jp, cuz i think that may shed some light on this weirdness. ALSO GIANT FROGS Well, according to a person at Gamefaqs, "...Servants kill you in 1-2 hits. Running into things deals huge damage. You can kill servants in 1, or 2 hits, even elites this way, and it takes away about 75% from a master. And they have the race course on trioria noon." Of course, it is an April Fools patch. Why wouldn't you want to go racing at that place?
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 From what I noticed the Servants power nearly tripled, but there defense halved, the Geroppa (sp?) has at least doubled in size, the running track thing has been added onto Triora (I fukken love this thing for some reason, probably just because I transport all my Nekomata-chan down there and have lulz.) Most things (elites and landmines/bombs/items) can kill a master in one hit. It's not intended to be permanent, but I like it. EDIT And they have the race course on trioria noon. actually it's on all Triora.
Zazz Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 wait. were witches ALWAYS flying in formation around triora? how did i miss that?
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Well, Triora is a city of witches, at least that's what I remember what the storyline saying.
Suzaku Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Anyone mind posting the official English movelist for Raven? I'm still iffy on some of the German transliterations, and I'd like to see what Aksys came up with, but they don't seem to have a .pdf or anything for him online.
PandaKingEX Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 So does anyone here still play online regularly? I can recognize Ayumu, but it's hard to find any non Japanese players that play. Honestly, I know quite a bit about this game, servant and master wise, so I could give out some advice if anyone needs help with anything.
PandaKingEX Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 edit: Sorry my internet messed up and made me double post.

Taken translations and organized from the manual: RAVEN: -------------Signature Skills Soko ja nai. [i'm not there.] (Warps behind Opponent) Fesselung Wimpel [Pennant Capture] (Slow Field) Reihe Brücke [Lane Jump] (Slows Opponent Speed) Schwarz Wolken [black Clouds] (Mobile Minion) -------------Signature Special Moves Traurig Sieger [unhappy Victor] (Tri-Needle Up) Schmelz Berg [Melting Mountain] (Forward Needle) Krisen-V [Crises-V] (Side Tri-Needle) Gebührehe Licht [Light Charges] (Down Needle) -------------Overdrive Verzweifelt [Desperation] ---------------------- More here: http://www.mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/GG2_Servant_Data.txt
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Isn't it Not there? Edit: oh and Hai Panda :3

I got ahold of the official German romanizations, which were apparantly confirmed by Arcsy and Ishiwatari. The English translations are my own with a little help from a German fluent friend. Skills: Soko ja nai (Not there) Fesseln Wimper [binding Lash] Ledig Blick [One Glance] Schwarz Wolken [black Clouds] Special Moves: Traurig Zeiger [Woeful Needle] Schmerz Berg [Painful Mountain] Kreisen Weh [Circling Hurt] Gebrechlich Licht [Fragile Light] Verzweifelt [Desperation] Of those, Wimper actually means lash as in eyelash, which I assume to be the German equivalent of Engrish. Gelman? And I've seen Schmerz Berg both ways, but Schmerz makes more sense than Schmelz considering the character.
Izanagi SOL777 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Just wondering. If GG Overture 2 had a tier list what would it be like? or is there actually one out there?
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 As far as I know there's two separate tier listings. One for Master, and one for Army I'm not sure where Kai and Sin fall into this, but... Masters: Sol Izuna Kai/Sin? Valentine/Raven Dr. Paradigm Army=just take the Masters one and flip it upside down.
Ashercroix Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 As far as I know there's two separate tier listings. One for Master, and one for Army I'm not sure where Kai and Sin fall into this, but... Masters: Sol Izuna Kai/Sin? Valentine/Raven Dr. Paradigm Army=just take the Masters one and flip it upside down. THAT EXPLAINS WHY I CAN'T DO CRAP WITH SERVANTS AS SOL. O_O I thought I was just HORRIBLE because I would literally summon a full army like five times a match, and have it totally obliterated in the time it took me to capture like three ghosts on my own. Wat. I feel a lot better now. :B (Though I'm sure it's not just the servants to blame for my suckiness.)
Silmerion Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 My thoughts on the tiers for this game. The game's pretty balanced, and the game is more or less all about skill, but tiers are clearly there. Combat S: Sol A: Izuna, Ky B: Sin C: Valentine, Raven D: Paradigm Army S: Paradigm A: Valentine/Raven B: Ky/Sin C: Sol D: Izuna Overall S: Sol A: Izuna, Raven B: Ky, Valentine C: Sin D: ParadigmHere's the tiers that I came up with while I was still really into GG2. Sol's army is better than Izuna's. Izuna's is easily the most overpriced army, and his servants generally can't hold their own in a one-on-one fight. It's just, army matters relatively little, since the game revolves more around how fast you can run your servants to ghosts and take down any resistance or opposing Masters in your way.
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Izuna's is easily the most overpriced army wat? Izuna - Kai/Sin Kappa (210) - Swordsmen (225) Nekomata-chan (300) - Springbock (360) Namahage (360) - Gauntlet Body (420) Ittanmomen (110) - Twin Trigger (140)
Silmerion Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 wat? Izuna - Kai/Sin Kappa (210) - Swordsmen (225) Nekomata-chan (300) - Springbock (360) Namahage (360) - Gauntlet Body (420) Ittanmomen (110) - Twin Trigger (140)I mean in terms of a price-to-effectiveness ratio. Ky gets a lot more bang for his buck than Izuna does.
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I guess you do have a point there. Paradigm only having to pay 150 for his basic Melee is awesome tho.
Blade Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Hey guys...um...does anyone have a map with locations for all those lousy hidden chests for that Paradigm Mission where you can't hurt anyone? God I hate that mission.
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 uh, no but I could probably make one real quick like EDIT: today I realized just how broken Volcanic Viper really is...
Wendy Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 sorry for this stupid question in this topic http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/4797348909/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en_JP I would like to buy this artwork. D: but It's my first time for buy online stores. Amazon (japanese version) accepted payments via "PAYPAL"?
Ayumu Gardevoir Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 lol a friend of mine saw that in a little Tokyo shop in SoCal or something
Blade Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I've got large scans of it on my hard drive from the book.
