So uhh...GG2 on Exhibition mode is really hard... Especially when it's 2 on 2. T_T Any ideas? It's really hard to balance out troops while fighting.

Put Dr. Paradigm on your team.

I can't really say much about it. :/ I haven't even beat the game yet. Using Sin/Izuna T_T Things are not going well. Enlighten me PLOX.

Easier said than done. Most of my troops get smashed before I even get a chance to do anything. I try to counter with the opposite type but that doesn't work very well for me. Meh. I'll figure it out.

I agree with you on this, but I hated this stage even more for a different reason. I didn't like the fact that this was the first real time you actually have control of the Organ. The level design sorta neglects this and doesn't ease you in any way, shape, or form—there are effective ways to teach the player and immerse them without resorting to hand-holding or, in this case, trial by fire.

Really? I could swear I had organ control before that. Then again I turned Organ Wait and Organ Assist off at the start.

OMG People! Get on LIVE! T_T I've only had 1 game that had 4 people in it, they were all Japanese. I couldn't find anyone in singles...

Jacketless Sol is now available on the Marketplace. Costs 100 points. If you didn't get it with the preorder from Gamestop you can now get it for cheap.

also they need to make sure that ky's cape and sin's coat stops with the clipping errors. it looks silly.

Impossible to do unless they use something like Criware or the Havok engine. It did wonders for Virtua Fighter 5 and Soul Calibur 4.

EVERY RTS EVENTUALLY GETS AN EXPANSION.

GUILTY GEAR 2: CRESCENDO

Post up in the NC thread when you can play bro. Me and a friend in Alabama play it now.

for all the faults Soul Calibur 4 has, being ugly sure isn't one of them

GUILTY GEAR 2: CRESCENDO

I'd play it. Ky's wife :DI: will show up in the first five minutes are start kicking ass right away. And that's just the tutorial!

:DI: Start giving your father the respect he deserves!

:DI: I'll just have to ground you then.

Makes me think of Eternal Sonata....How about: Guilty Gear: Allegretto (Or Falsetto, Waltz...etc.) (Also, Frédéric François Chopin....coincidence? Like the Frederick we know perhaps?)

Posted

My prediction is this:

Guilty Gear 2: Overture

Guilty Gear 3: Aria

Guilty Gear 4: Recitativo (Recital)

Guilty Gear 5: Chorus

The collective of these are known as an "Oratorio". In opera terminology that is the basic structure.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oratorio

Something tells me Ishiwatari will wanna save the name Aria for another GG, maybe the last one in the overture series? given that aria plays such a central role

Though I definitely don't have any suggestions, so the Oratorio is highly likely.

Well if you think about it, an "Aria" is only a single soloist in the song that's singing, a single person. The recitativo tells the story proper, and the chorus is the song of many others. So in a way, Aria's story is only the tip of the iceberg here.

Aria: moment of contemplation (as opposed to action) within an opera, cantata, [or oratorio]. Arias are characterized by being more melodic and having stronger rhythm than recitatives, and being generally in some sort of easily understood form, [like da Capo or strophic forms. Usually (but not always) will have more instruments accompanying than just the basso continuo group.] Examples: “Vi Ricorda” from Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo [Orfeo’s aria from the Act II messenger scene]; “When I am laid in earth” in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas; “V’adoro pupille” from Handel’s Giulio Caesare [Act II, sc. 2].

recitative: stylized speech for voice and basso continuo group. In an opera or cantata, a recitative contains the active text [as opposed to the aria, which contains the contemplative text]. Examples include “Thy Hand, Belinda” from Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas; “Ah quanto” from Pergolesi’s La Serva padrona, Act I, scene I from Handel’s Giulio Caesare, from numerous examples from Handel’s Messiah and Saul.

* Secco recitative: recitative orchestrated only with the basso continuo group

* Accompanied recitative: recitative orchestrated with the basso continuo and other instruments from the orchestra; examples include Handel’s “The Time at Length Has Come” from Saul.

Yay music history!

Perhaps Japanese players are fascinated by the foreign sounds of English, much like we are to the sound of Japanese. :psyduck:

That would explain Chipp. HOLY ZEN!!

Or perhaps they got tired of being able to hear, "Mind if I CUT IN?!"

how could you ever get tired of that

Two words: Training Mode. Speaking of which, I'm at a loss as to how to combo with Izuna. The only decent combo I was able to come up with was Lock-On Up+X [MC] Up+X [MC] air combo, but that last part is kind of difficult to time.
